Customers value the large screen size, ease of use, and performance of the 27" iMac with Retina 5K display. Many appreciate the high-resolution display and fast Fusion Drive, although some find the price point high and the included mouse less than ideal. Positive feedback also highlights the powerful graphics capabilities suitable for photo editing. A few users mentioned wanting more USB ports and expressed some concerns about the software.

I've had this computer for just over one month. This is my first Apple Computer after Windows based PCs for over 30 years. I got tired of basically needing a new computer after about 4 years, total system failures, viruses, slow operation, etc. The Apple world does things a little differently but it's easy to learn and intuitive.
The display is beautiful and the computer is fast and dead quiet with good speakers. I loaded documents and extensive music and photo libraries on to the iMac without complications. We also now have seamless interaction with our iPhone, iTouch an iPad. I called Apple support on two occasions with technical questions. Each time I got through to a knowledgeable, courteous technician who sounded like a native English speaker. The wait time to speak with someone was less than four minutes.
An included DVD/CD drive would have been nice, but I have a five-year-old HP external DVD Drive which works fine with the iMac. I also miss Touch screen feature on my last PC. The USB ports on the rear of the computer are a bit of a pain to get to. I guess that's the price you pay for such a slim all-in-one computer.

This computer is one of the best investments I’ve ever made. I am beyond satisfied with it. Moving from a PC to a MAC was something I wanted to do for so long but worried about whether it could handle my Adobe editing suite. And boy did it do that exactly. I do not regret this purchase at all.

Even the technophobic can't help but love this computer! It is high-tech but user friendly. And if you are an Apple afficionado, this is definitely for you. I am not a graphics designer, a photographer or an editor, so my purchase was purely a desire for the biggest and baddest in technology. However, whether working (I'm a high school teacher so I do use it for work purposes) or playing, I can have multiple screens open and not lose an iota of processor speed. And yes, in case I forgot, the graphics are awesome!

Had before many PCs and even Mac mini Apple computers, but this 27 inch 5K retina display iMac is phenomenal! Display is gorgeous, and the core i5, speedy DDR3 RAM and great GPU make this machine fly. I am also running Windows 10 using Desktop Parallels 11, and it seems faster than a pure PC. Very happy with my purchase so far.

iMac 27in i5 with the 5K resolution and OS X sealed the deal for transition from windows products. The fusion drive is a great improvement over just the hard drive computer. It is quiet, fast and really a great improvement over what i have had with HP and Dell products.

Upgrading from a loaded 2010 iMac, this was a pleasant experience. Fusion drive and new processor are impressive. I added another 16gb of RAM, and now it flies. Worth the price for the beautiful display and everything else that's included.

I purchased this computer for photo editing and some iCloud business stuff. I have completely fallen in love with the screen. I do find that I have to sit a little bit closer to really take it all in (so much pixel density). I am able to open a full browser window, monitor my security system and have txt conversations all on the same screen! I love the screen real estate.
The gaming performance is pretty sub-standard, but that isn't why I purchased this computer. The only other major gripe I have is that the USB ports and Memory Card are located on the back making them hard to see. Surprisingly I can usually feel my way into the right port.
I would get the trackpad 2.0 with this purchase as well, the mouse is ok and seems to be kind of hard to use. It doesn't seem anywhere near as responsive as my Corsair on my PC.

I decided to get one with 2TB fusion drive and I was afraid it would be slow coming from rMBP with SSD. All I have to say is the disc and everything else are really fast. I am very happy with the 27 5k 2015.

For personal or business use I don't believe anyone could be disappointed in this computer. Fast, easy to configure and a beautiful display that is big enough to run side-by-side applications easily. Everything that is expected with a Mac, but this is the best version yet. Not much to say except that it just works... every time, any time which is what it needs to do. The El Capitan OS runs flawlessly so far and have had no compatibility issues with software or hardware.

Pros vs Cons

Great desktop, looks amazing in the 5k quality. But sometimes something that looks good is always too good to be true. I found a few cons but let me talk about the pros first. Ultra slim design and light that is perfect for a compact area and graphics card is pretty decent enough to play shooting games at a great FPS .
Here are the cons. Even though you have a 5k Retina ahead of its time since we are still getting use to 4k quality . It wont pick up netflix 4k because an app is required which apple cannot use due to a flash player required that only windows has. So the 5k is useless if everything still looks like 1080P, To me the 5k seems more of an upscale if you cant even use it. If they had made the pc where you can connect another pc to it and use the 5k monitor in that fashion . It would have been a great product.
If you are into movie editing then this would be perfect for you. Otherwise stick to windows.

Bought the top of the line Mac, and I have to say this is one of the best machines ever. Not only is this computer so easy to use, but the 5k screen is so vivid and sharp that it's better than most hd tvs. You won't be sorry about buying this!

Don't get me wrong I really like this computer. I would give it 3.5 stars if it were possible. Some of the reviews are over the top though. I am coming from a 2011 MBP pushing a 27inch Samsung Syncmaster display and I am not blown away by the speed of the new I-Mac or the quality of the screen. It is better but not shockingly so. Apple has also fallen off a bit with their quality control. I found two 'anomalies' on the I-Mac’s screen. One is a stuck pixel and the other is either a flaw in the glass or something under it. Granted I was looking for them and may not have seen them under normal circumstances but with the price I paid and the effort that Apple puts into advertising "5K" I expected perfection. It’s not enough to pack it up and lug it back to the store though, especially since the replacement could be worse but still in the range of acceptable flaws as defined in the Apple support documents.
The processor, video card and fusion drive appear to be zippy enough but plan on upgrading the ram if you intend to do any heavy photo or video editing. I got a little bit of stutter when processing large 4k vids from my I-phone 6s+. The lack of ram was really apparent when batch processing RAW photo files in Lightroom from my 5Dii. I haven’t done a true side by side comparison with my old machine but my MBP is definitely faster. It does have a ram upgrade but it’s also 5 years old. There is a significant delay when accessing other devices on my home network. I thought at first my network had some sort of bottleneck but there is no delay in the other direction. This could be a software issue but if it is none of the other devices have the same problem and there are 3 other Macs all running El Capitan.
If you are buying your first Mac I think this is a solid purchase. If you are upgrading from a slightly earlier model I would hold off at least one generation. There is no shock and awe value here.

Even though IMACs are more expensive than PC's...their speed and reliability and ease of use are unparrelled. And, they are not as vulernable to virus attacks etc. Best on the market. You get what you pay for.

Apple delivers again. This is the best computer I've ever owned, and it happens to be my first Mac. I'll never have anything else again. Apple raises the bar with this product and I am totally satisfied. Sleek, stylish, & fast, I never wait for anything! Easy to open, easy to use, easy to maintain, and works like a champ. If I were to draw an analogy to the automobile world, I'd classify this as a Ferrari!

We switched to a desktop because most of our mobile computing needs are now performed on a smart phone or iPad. There are no compromises with this unit: significant screen size for our photography and video needs; quick processing; ample storage; and flexibility within our work environment with the wireless keyboard, trackpad and mouse. You feel like you're in a luxury car when you're using this unit.

I have had 2 MacBook Pro's in the past and loved them. They were fast and worked well years in to use and when I finished with school wanted a desktop instead. I made a great choice. This Mac is very fast, great picture and so far no bugs or glitches. Even more than I expected from already good products.

I've been a Mac person since 19something. Still user-friendly, still almost everything included, still easy on the eyes. Now that I've upgraded, I can use my iPad more efficiently as well. I'm looking forward to really delving into some of the new features Apple has to offer! When someone asks me any advice on computers, I just tell them to buy the Mac and be happy right away.

This is a great computer. The screen is unbelievable! Super high resolution screen. Mine came with 8 gig of ram but it is easy to upgrade to 32 gig of ram. Holy cow that makes it ziiiiiing!!! I tell you what, this ain't your momma's computer. Unless your mom buys one, then I guess it is your momma's computer. But seriously guys, you know what I mean, this thing is awesome! Wireless mouse and keyboard using the same type of cord as the iPhone 6. All around super duper great computer!!!
