Surprisingly huge letdown

I even maxed it out with 32GB of RAM and large image files were slow to load in Bridge, Lightroom and Photoshop. Machine became virtually unusable when loading images in Bridge. Beach ball just keep spinning. Shouldn't have happened with this configuration. Now waiting for special order iMac with i7 processor, 8GB VRAM on graphics card and 1TB solid state drive. Will load it up with 64GB of RAM. This new machine I'm waiting for is the one that was recently announced at WWDC. My customized configuration shouldn't give me a problem. If it does, it's going back to Apple like the other one went back to Best Buy. The only thing I can think of is that the oiriginal machine only had 2GB of VRAM on the graphics card. But I'm not doing video or gaming and still photographic images really don't place huge requirements on the graphics card.

Fantastic computer Easy to use

It was simple to set up and connect to the internet and though there was some learning curve in its use, it didn't take more than a day or 2 to catch on to Apple's way of doing things. I no longer receive the daily requests to update this program or that which saves a lot of time. In short, I just love this computer. Next to replace my laptop with an Apple.
