Absolutely amazing computer. Without a doubt the best I've ever owned. I bought this as a gift to myself for Christmas to go along side my 2014 Macbook Air. The screen is huge and beautiful. It's fast and makes photo editing a breeze. If you are an apple product user already (such as the iPhone) you can easily transfer files and photos between devices using AirDrop and can also use the iMac to send out text messages from your iPhone's phone number. It's pricey but like all things that cost a premium (Sony, Apple, BMW) it is worth it.

I have purchased the Apple - 27 Imac® With Retina 5k Display - Intel Core I5 - 8gb Memory - 2tb Fusion Drive - Silver and after 3-4 hours of use it went bad. returned it to Best buy for a complete refund. theres no reason a $2000 + computer should break down after 3 hours of use.

A little over one year ago I purchased the same model minus the Fusion drive. When my husband said that he wanted to replace his aging six year old Mac Mini, the choice was clear. So I purchased this model with the Fusion drive and passed my 1TB model on to him. The Fusion drive makes a big difference. My previous was not slow by any means. But the Fusion drive certainly makes boot time and application loading so much quicker. This model has a good processor that will handle all the tasks that I throw at it; such as transferring my 10,000+ slides into an electronic photo album. It rocks with iMovie to capture and edit all those old home movies from VHS. It stores and manages all of my iPhone photography, and then kicks butt on MSOffice apps. When combined with the rest of the Apple ecosystem (e.g. iPhone, iPad, macOS Server) the sky is the limit! I totally love the Magic Mouse that came with it! It does take a bit of use to get acquainted/accustomed to the features and differences from a more conventional mouse. But the multi-touch surface and gestures can be a real productivity enhancer. The included wireless keyboard is very nice also. No wires stretching across your desk for a very clean appearance. It should be a welcome addition for most people. Both the mouse and keyboard come already paired with your iMac so there is NO setup. But if you want to use it with another machine, setup is so simple. Just connect it with the included USB-Lightning cable and your Mac knows it and starts using it. The keyboard can also be used with your other devices like your phone, tablet, AppleTV. But since I also use it for a lot of data entry and editing, I added the wired keyboard as I really need the numeric keypad. The only "con" is the 8GB of RAM. This is more than enough for most people. But since I am now performing a lot of photo and movie editing, I will be adding another 16GB for optimal performance from macOS. Fortunately, adding RAM is a simple task that anyone can accomplish.

Unfortunately the iMac had to be returned to BestBuy because it was suffering some strange screen burn in issues and was unusable.

Completely love this iMac. Easy set up and easy to navigate. Love the picture quality on a nice 27" screen. I didn't want to give it a 4 star because it's better then that but rather a 4.5 star. Only reason is when viewing 4K content on YouTube I would get a bit of lag on it even though my internet speed is over 100mps. Other then that I'm very happy with it!

Have it for 6 years now and its been great!!! Cant go wrong with apple!

Display is better than anything I have ever used on a computer. You will not regret this purchase

So so. Already had one major hardware failure. Covered under warranty, but still. Major issue is true with all Apple products...software updates seem to come out just to fix previous updates, and always lead to future issues. Right now I have 3 devices (pad, phone, desktop) all set to update time automatically and all three show different times. Like several minutes different. This is just one example. I work on mine all day so keyboard and mouse eat AA batts. Still, in a world where we've become accustomed to lowering our standards, Apple remains ahead of the pack.

I just wrote a review for this great computer ; but I forgot to add : The slightly more expensive 27" fusion drive with 2TB storage is a better computer than the 1TB fusion drive . Slightly faster but more importantly it has a larger flash drive component , which makes for overall better computer performance . Well worth the extra money .

Fast computer, great screen, suggest taking Apple classes and buying the extended protection.

i have had windows for 30 years. when windows 10 came out i had more crashes and problems then then i ever had with any. went down and bought a imax 27 inch. wish i had done this 20 years ago.

This is fantastic I needed to replace my 2011 iMac and this fit perfectly. I love the speed of it and the reboot time is fast compared to my old one. Screen picture is stunning with the retina display.

It is the ideal computer to have at home. I work you heavy problems editing images and videos and I also use it parallels in it and it handles everything very well. Unique down side: for a computer like that, I expected to already come with 16gb RAM, but that is something you could add later for an extra 120 dollars.

Absolutely amazing screen and picture quality. Expensive but you get what you pay for.

I was told this is a much better and easier computer to use than PC. This was totally false. I have never been so frustrated with any technology. I have had it for over 3 weeks now and still am not able to get it to do the simplest tasks. Mac's are not user friendly. If you are going from PC to mac cause "they are better", trust me, THEY ARE NOT. I bought it for creating music, not for video or picture editing. Over priced and useless for me. I am going back to PC. Big waste of money.

This is a high quality computer that I'm hoping lasts me a long time like all my other apple products, it is pricey, but so far it has been worth it
