I purchase a lot of 3rd party cables and they don't seem to last. The apple cable is fine, but is not that durable. It is reliable when you need to use it always able to connect and charge my phone. You have to make sure you take care of it because it is fragile and the cable part seems to come apart exposing the wire if you are not careful.

You can save a few bucks buying lower quality, poorly manufactured charging cords for your Apple products. I plead guilty. Buy a good one and save the frustration of malfunctioning cords and dead Apple batteries.

I’ve bought cheaper iPhone chargers but they always end up unreliable, so now I pay a little more & get a SURE THING, the Apple iPhone charger which gives me uninterrupted charging anywhere I plug it in!!

Hate to say but those cheaper brands don't work on Apple phones after a couple weeks in use!!! My daughter confirmed to me that she had the same problem! Sorry but you need to pay the price and not skimp!

Was what i expected. I had purchased another brand before this and decided to go with the Apple brand this time because it withstands the wear and tear better. A little more pricey but well worth it.

only name brand item works consistently. Off brands work for a while and then the I-phone states cannot support this device if you use an off brand. So stick with Apple if you want your phone charger to keep working.

Bought this item for my daughter's car now we went through other type of cords and decided this one lasts longer now when she travels her phone won't die and we know it'll last longer and not break

Though I wish it was cheaper it is best to go for quality over than cheap price. Their are cheaper ones that are really crappy and break easy. So just pay that little extra you won’t regret it later.

My daughter needed a replacement lightning USB cable for her iPhone, but refuse to accept anything but an Apple branded version. As an engineer who has good knowledge on cable design and manufacturing (including cost), the Apple version is well built but way over priced. Many off brand versions would have been just as reliable and at a substantially lower price. Trying to convince a young daughter off brand versions is just as good is an exercise in futility. In the end, I purchased the much higher price Apple version just to avoid grief. I have to congratulate Apple for their ability to hold the loyalty of their users and the ability to command a premium price for everything they sell. The quality of the cable deserves 5 stars, but the extraordinary premium price takes it down by a couple of stars. I personally do not buy any Apple products for my own use, but instead invest in their stock. It has worked out well for me so far.

Great replacement cord it works just fine quality problem

This tool is helpful because I don’t forget to bring it to the car or take it out of the car each time I need to charge the phone. It has become a permanent fixture in the car for my phone. It works!

Have bought so many aftermarket cables and they have all failed not long after short usage. The apple factory cables have proven to hold up a lot longer. I’ll pay a little more for them from now on

This cable is the perfect length for my charging station. It is also a great length for charging in my car. It coils up nicely for easy portability between car and home. It charges my iphone quickly.

These are good and serve their purpose I suppose but are overpriced.

It's tempting to buy a really cheap cable, but the APPLE product is always the best choice. It helps that Best Buy offer this product at less than the APPLE store price, making it a really easy decision.

Something about these cords always charges a phone without any problems unlike other brands. Only issue I have with the apple charge cord is I wish it was made of a different material to make it more durable. after a few months the cords fray and the interior wires are exposed. But never have problems with it charging our devices.

I only buy Apple cords for my phone because there’s less issues long term when charging. Also the great option to get it swapped at the Apple store if there’s any issues as long as there is no physical damage

I just picked up the charger and it works great! This replacing my old five year old charger... You pay a little more for the Apple brand but they last longer and give you a faster charge... Well worth the money.

Bought this apple cable open box and the cable looks brand new. So happy to save a few bucks on this item! This is an extra cable for my car so I can have one in the house and one in the car. Great quality.

The cable is a good reliable cable. Great use for all Apple products.
