Great cable, yes it’s easier to buy cheaper version online, I do it as well, but paying for quality last longer, the cables I buy off amazon burn out quickly, authentic apple cables made to last longer, just my opinion.

Personally like the genuine apple usb cord then an off brand. No cord lasts forever, but I've had much better luck with apple. Would definitely recommend. My only issue is the length, 4 ft would be much better and 6 ft is too long.
