I lost my charger so I thought instead of ordering a cheap one through Ebay I got an original I phone charger. Well it helped to charge but any outlet or USB I attach it to says " charging is not supported with this accessory" I would of liked for this product not to have a faulty message on my phone but oh well. So i guess i should of payed less money at Ebay for a cheep one and still had the same result.

I had a puppy that chewed through my cord and this was the only option for replacement at your store. Really Apple? $80 for a charging cord?! Are you serious? That's about 1/6 of the price for the entire MacBook!!! For a cord! But since my MacBook would be useless without it and I was in the middle of distance learning and had to have it for Zoom meetings with my students, I had no choice but to pay $80 for an extended cord.

I've owned a few of these chargers over the years and all of them eventually turn yellowish brown at the top due to overheating (they get extremely hot during use). Both my current and last charger started fraying at the 2 year ownership mark with daily usage. The charger is never covered with anything, so I don't understand why this is happening. My girlfriend also uses the same model charger and the same thing happened to hers.

Poor construction, the wire coating degrades, breaks and has a waxy texture after a year of use. Expect to replace it every 18 months.

I will try to find a charger withbraided cord or something that lengthens the life. Too expensive for the short life. Will research competition.

It works but it is well known that Apple cords are not very well made. If the price was even half this I would be OK. I looked into 3rd party cords but at least most Apple products do not overheat. My review should be solely based on the performance of the product but $80 is ridiculous,

Apple strikes again with designing a part of computer that easily fails and cost 10 time more than its worth to replace. Third or forth change age to the mag plug without any improvement. They still havent designed a way to wind the power cord.

It’s a great product but I’m only buying this because the life isn’t long on it. Apple’s chargers are all garbage and always break over time.

Great product. Just wish Apple would cease built-in failures in their product design. Best Buy is great. Apple, not so much.

This charger cord lasted only 14 months. I’m purchasing the 85w with hopes it will last longer

This charger is way over priced but it's an apple product. The cable should detach so you can just replace the cable but no they make it so you buy another charger

The product was as I expected. There is nothing More that I can say except that it is too expensive for its price which has never changed in 10years

Bought this as a replacement. Quite expensive given the poor design and quality that leads to frequent replacement. Wouldn't recommend except you need the charger.

Apple’s power chords, etc. are so expensive. They get you on all the earbuds and chords you need in order to operate their products.

I lost a small piece of the charger but had to buy the whole charger to replace the one small piece to a total of $80. There is no other option.

Product was ok but it was too much over priced, if Apple would sell products with good quality then ee may not need for replacement

A plug for $75? Definitely overpriced. However, it might have been worth it if the plug was a quality product. Apple usually makes quality products, and I'm willing to pay extra for quality. But I have gone through 4 of these plugs. They last about a year before the cord starts fraying.

Simple. Does the job. Too expensive for basically just being a power cord.

I have a MacBook Pro 15in w/ Retina Display and I previously used an 85w charger since 2013. Sometimes I have to attach this 45w charger to my mac a few different times for the light to come on and for it to actually charge. Otherwise, if the light doesn't come on with the charger it shows up on my mac as charging but it will only stall the battery.
