    Nice, but torn cable.

It’s fine. It powers my laptop. It was less expensive than the Apple version. It still works very well. BUt there is a tear in the cable and there’s no way to replace just the cable. Sigh. So, I am, like the cable, torn.

Although I have never had one of these go bad, and they seem to last a really long time, I feel that they are excessively expensive for what they are. It's just a tiny little power adapter, it shouldn't cost $70. But its nice to have a spare to travel with - so you gotta pay the price.

    OVER PRICED APPLE PRODUCT

Reason for the three star is that when you have an APPLE product you ALWAYS have to buy Apple replacements in order for it to work properly. So Apple knowing that rips you off for the crazy price for this replacement adapter. Other than that item works fine.

Very expensive item. It does the job but for some reason mine never last for more than a year without having to buy another.

This is an extremely overpriced adapter. However it's the only one sanctioned to work with the MacBook Air.

This power adapter performs as it should but the price for Apple products is outrageous. I looked online for 3rd party products but I got nervous about some of the reviews. Safety is a main concern with those. Also Apple cords are notorious for wearing out at the ends.

Good charger but do tend to run hot if keep in for long periods of time. Also it's piece that sticks out from the charger is prone to breaking which makes it's easier to get shortages in the cord

This will be my second replacement adapter for my MacBook Air and each of them have had the same issues. The casing on the wire frays and eventually it stops charging. I put electrical tape over the holes, but that only slows down the issue. Picked a new one up recently and it started to fray within a week. For the money I spent, I wish it held up a little better.

Replaced 9 year old adapter which was fraying with this one. It works well. The magnet holds and it powers the phone. A bit pricy for what it is, but usual Apple markup on this sort of thing.

I bought it as the traveling power adapter and leave the other one at home. It charges my MacBook Air very quickly. However, the cord extends directly straight out, so if anything slightly bumps to the connector, it comes right off. If it was made like the MacBook Pro adapter, you wouldn't have that problem. Because the connector comes straight out, it bends the cord which may damage it very quickly.

It does exactly what it’s intended to do, be the only charger this MacBook Air can use to charge. It is what it is… a charger. Are we paying extra for the magnetic aspect? Or because that cool little light can be green or orange? I see what you did there, Apple. You little tricksters.

I purchased this to replace a previous 45W MagSafe 2 Power Adapter. The adapter itself works great but the cable area that connects to the Macbook wears away after a year of use until the wires become exposed. I mark this as recommended since using 3rd party chargers has not worked out.

i have used this charger with my computer. They seem to break easy .Wish they would make them so you wouldn't have to buy the whole charger just the cord that breaks. But dont know if they make others for a Macbook.

Let's face it power supplies are power supplies, but like all Apple products you cannot just get it anywhere or buy a universal. A lot of money spent to replace a power supply that was only 2 1/2 years old. I think Apple needs to reevaluate their prices for the products they make.

My computer came with a power cord and extension cord. I have never once used the extension cord. I needed another power cord for my office. I'm annoyed that I could not buy just the power cord. The package was very expensive and now I have not 1 but 2 very expensive extension cords that I do not expect to ever use.

I think Apple accessories are made to break after a year. This is my second power cord since I purchased my MacAir. Ugh . Apple accessories are too expensive, but are you going to do. If Mac Air had credible alternative options I would definitely buy..

Their product is expensive. This is my 2nd charger in 4 years. If only another company could make this charger for less money and a better wire protector on it, that would make me happy.
