    Original cable broke for My mac and I hurried and got this one, it’s good in length because the outlet is Slightly far from the bed so I can charge and use my mac at the same time.

    I use this cord to charge my macbook pro, my ipad pro and now my iphone 15 pro. Literally cant go wrong. I haven’t had any issues with it. Quality is amazing.

    Yes the cable smells, doesn't matter where you purchase it from - BB, amazon, apple, etc. No it's not mold or mildew. The smell will dissipate if you give it time. If you are sensitive to smells then purchase a non-apple brand USB cable or apple has recently released a braided USB C cable, however it appears that one is only sold in 3ft length.
