I've been using Apple’s newest headphones for a few weeks now, and I have to say, they truly redefine what premium audio products can offer. Sound Quality: The sound is nothing short of spectacular. Good sound as i expected I love the color I can recommend this to my friends

This is my honest review after paying for them with my own money. I purchased when they went on sale and do not regret the decision. Best Buy offered the best price for these at around $100 off. The original msrp is just a bit too high but at the discounted price point it feels right for the quality you’re getting. The sound quality is fantastic, especially when integrated into the Apple ecosystem’s lossless audio. The battery life of ~20 hours has never been an issue for me since just five minutes of charging or so can get you 1-2 hours of listening. They are built very sturdy and feel extremely premium. They fit quite comfortably on my head, I’ve always had a big head/ears so I was relieved that these did not give me any issue. My partner who has overall smaller head and ears thinks they are the most comfortable pair of headphones ever and now wants a pair too after trying them. I live in a tropical climate and have not had any issues with sweating after hours of continued use in 73 degree air conditioning at home. Some people have complained about the smell of the ear pads, but in my opinion this is mainly coming from a chemical in the material used. Out of the box, you will notice a chemical smell on the pads which is normal, but after sweating the scent of the chemicals can mix with it which is what people are encountering. However, they are removable and washable with detergent and water. This should remove the odor and keep them clean - Apple has guidelines on their website as to how to do this safely. Would definitely recommend grabbing them if on sale as long as you understand that they require a bit of effort here and there to maintain clean and in tip top shape.

The metal ear cups of the AirPods Max give them a premium look compared to other brands on the market. The sound quality is good(okay), literally better than the AirPods Pro due to their larger size. However, the cushions could use a different material, as they don’t dissipate heat well, and I often have to wear a beanie before putting them on. Overall, I think they’re worth the money, especially since I purchased them during a Cyber Monday sale and also received a $25 AMEX credit.

They are super comfortable, even after wearing them for several hours, and fit perfectly. The battery lasts a long time, they connect quickly and the audio quality for calls is also excellent. In addition, the design is modern and elegant. Without a doubt, they exceeded my expectations. I recommend them 100% for music, calls and daily use. They are totally worth it!

The AirPods Max are easily worth five stars. From the moment I put them on, I could feel the premium build quality — the stainless steel frame is solid but not heavy, the memory foam ear cups are insanely comfortable, and the knit headband makes long listening sessions easy. The battery life is impressive too, with 20 hours of listening and fast charging giving over an hour of use in just five minutes which gets me through my day. Overall, they’re not just headphones — they’re an experience, combining comfort, performance, and Apple’s ecosystem perfectly, and honestly, I can’t recommend them enough to anyone.

I have been very impressed with the sound quality on these headphones and when I wear them I feel like I'm in another world listening to the actual artist in the studio. They sound too good and the noise cancellation is scary good. The transparency mode will make those with below average hearing think they have perfect hearing. When you hold these headphones they feel like top quality and all you need is a good hard case to protect them. You'll be very pleased with these just get them while on sale if possible.

I grabbed these during Best Buy’s Black Friday in July event and I use them every day at my desk. The sound is crisp, the build feels premium, and the noise cancelling is incredible. With a newborn at home, it really helps me stay focused at work. I’m fully in the Apple ecosystem, so these pair seamlessly with all my devices and fit right into my setup. The transparency mode is also great when I need to stay aware. Totally worth the investment.

Let me clarify— i dont have three pairs of AirPod Max’s currently. First I bought pink, didn’t really ever like the color. Worked fine. Traded for green (loved the color), also worked fine, then purple (this girl’s fave color) came out, and I really wanted them! So, traded in the green for the purple. I am completely immersed in the Apple ecosystem (Apple TV, iPad, iPhone, MacBook, AirPod Pros.. all the Apple things), so it made sense to me to get over-the-ear headphones from Apple. I was having some connection difficulties with my Apple TV at first, so I googled the issue and found a solution on Reddit that fixed it. I work from home 90% of the time, and I wear the headphones basically all day, whether I’m at home or in the office, so they get plenty of use. I got clear covers for the ear pads and the headband off of Amazon along with covers for the ear cups (off Amazon too) for some protection. I got AppleCare, but I’m hoping I never have to use it. I haven’t had the purple ones long enough to comment on longevity, and I’ve heard the horror stories where they break/brick… I guess I’m just willing to take that risk. They’re stupid expensive… I do NOT think the price is fair… but that’s everything Apple, right? Anyways, I love them so far!

Great sound quality, long battery life. Amazing product overall

I really wanted to love these. The sound quality is truly amazing, the best I’ve ever experienced from any kind of in-ear or over-ear. I read a lot of reviews before deciding to try them and kind of ignored that many people mentioned the weight. The weight is definitely a factor for me. The catalyst for even considering AirPods this expensive is because my ears push my AirPod pros out. I had found some things that were working OK to help keep them in my ears, but those were kind of a pain given that I still wasn’t getting the sound experience I should be getting from AirPod Pro. I kept these AirPods Max for a couple of weeks and made a point of very carefully using them as much as possible to try and evaluate if they are right for me. The big thought I was having when I decided to make the purchase is we travel overseas at least once a year and I really wanted to have long battery life, really good sound, and total noise cancellation while on international flights. What I discovered is the weight of them makes my neck a little tired after a while and if I take them off, it is really not comfortable to wear them around my neck. Things I didn’t realize were important until after I had them: I often use one AirPod. It allows me to remain focused on what’s going on in the room but still enjoy a little music or have Siri talk to me in my ear rather than announce to the whole room what’s going on with my phone. I set a lot of reminders and alarms to keep me on task and on track and on time. So as I actually tried to find how and when I would use these, what I discovered is I wouldn’t use them very often, and the times when it’s really appropriate for me to use them, they aren’t very comfortable. Two big design flaws: the ear cups bang together if you’re not wearing them and they are not in the little case. That will eventually dent and scratch the corners. I found some silicone covers for about $20 on Amazon that worked great to protect them, but it irritated me that after spending that much money, I needed to buy something else just to keep them in good condition. Also, there is no way to turn them off without putting them in the magnetic case. So if you just take them off your ears and put them around your neck the battery continues to run down. Apple has a lot of work to do here. In my humble opinion, there’s a very small audience of people who would actually love these. To me, definitely not worth the money.
