They are alright

If you are on a Mac or iphone the airpod with the active mic will use battery quickly but you can pop one at a time back in to the case to charge and the audio/mic seamlessly transitions to the active AirPod when on longer calls or meetings. They do work on a PC with Bluetooth as well but you lose the above mentioned functionality. The wireless charging case is picky about the type of charger though. Some work some don’t.
