Apple decided last year to get out of the WiFi router / back up drive business. I love the AirPort TimeCapsule, and bought one to update an earlier generation one that I had. Get them quick, because when they’re gone, they will be gone for good.

What does everyone say? Back up your files! With an iMac, MacBook, and a few iOS devices I knew that thousands of photos, songs and my media library were at risk. This is the perfect solution and it's simple to set up and backs everything up automatically. Exactly what I need.

I have used a few different solutions to backing up data after I had lost years of data due to no backups. Apple has hit a homerun with this product. It works great with time machine and also makes our wireless system more reliable and robust. Win for us!

This Time Capsule was purchased to replaced an earlier one that I had used for several years but started having problems with WiFi. Setup was simple and I have the benefits of local backup and significantly. improved WiFi performance.

I love this new Backup Storage and wireless extender all rolled into one unit. Terrific size storage for my photos which are extensive and everything else I need for back up. It has a small footprint and strong wireless signal. Expensive, but worth it. I would reccomend it!

I love the large storage space ,can use it for multiple computers

Finally replaced my 1st gen Time Capsule after man years of hard abuse. This new one performs very well and eliminated all dead spots in my house. I've been able to eliminate every Airport Express I had in my home to extend my network and just use this one device! Very powerful!

Product works as described. The initial set-up of the unit was not as simple as the directions portrayed. However, once set-up was complete, it works great. The unit is being used to back up three macs. The wireless network provided by the unit is strong throughout the house.

Love the product but wish it can do wifi data and photo from iphone/iPad instead of plugging into iMac the it transfer to wifi

This is excellent external hard drive. But it is very expensive.

I purchased the AirPort Time Capsule to ensure that my Macs are appropriately backed-up. The unit works as advertised and is automatically storing back-up on the hour. I feel completely secure in the knowledge that my system is now complete.

Backed up my wife's older MacBook Pro to it and tried to load the information from it to her new MacBook. Would not work. I don't think it was any fault of the airport but was the the fault of the difference in age of the two computers. WiFi seems to be better and backup seems to work well from both of our new Macs.

Great apple product as always, no thunderbolt ports but otherwise very good router/backup.

Product is satisfactory and no hiccups right now!!

I have an iMac and MacBook Pro Retina. This time capsule makes backups effortless. It simply backs up my computers wirelessly while I am working. There is also a way to use it as a stand alone media storage device too.

I have been a apple customer for years. So glad I finally purchased this item. It was easy to install and use.
