We have already gone through two of these that were older models. Ours went out and we needed a replacement right away so I picked another one up. When I got home I decided to check the reviews. Based on the reviews I decided to go with another brand even though we use all Apple products since our previous versions didn't work well and others seemed to have the same experience.

Easiest network set up ever. Completed in only a couple minutes, and everything worked perfectly. Superb! Fantastic! Previously, I had a 2TB time capsule that was 7-8 years old. The wi-fi part of my old one stopped working reliably, but the new one is great! My old 2TB drive had filled up too. I got pop-ups from time to time telling me that. So, the extra TB should hold me over for a while. Very glad I got this!

So excited to have this. Well worth the price! Easy setup, and fast wifi to all 9 of my other apple products. Much farther range than my old linksys wireless N router. Has dual band wifi, and 3tb time capsule drive.... Give me a break this is a no brainer for any Apple user....

I was thrilled to get the new Time Capsule with the latest WiFi Standard. Short lived, though. I was using the latest Time Capsule Before this one came out and I was getting speed up to 35 Mb download. The moment I switched to the new one, the fastest download speed was 9 Mb. I thought that, maybe, my Cat 5 ethernet cables were outdated so, I ordered Cat 6 cables. Nothing changed. Replacing the new Time Capsule with the old one, brought back the over 30 Mb download speed. No brainer here: I have just returned the new one and enjoyed better speed with the old one.

I honestly expected more from this router. In hindsight maybe my expectations were too high but I imagined it would at least be reasonable.

I bought the time capsule so we could backup several Macs and iPhones along with the upgraded router features. As a router the device was great, but every time I tried to configure it for backups the device would disappear from the network. I did recommended software upgrades but that did not solve the problem. On the Apple support site I found that many people were having the same problem. I returned the device.

I attempted to match this product to an iMac desktop and a MacBook laptop. I couldn't get it to work with either one. I was able to get the router portion to work okay, but the backup refused to cooperate. I kept getting error messages. I called Apple to get better instructions. After several calls I was told that I may have a bad product and should return it. I am really surprised and disappointed, since all my other Mac products work flawlessly.

Never could get it to connect to our wireless modem. After many hours just gave up. Returned it with the receipt after 18 days and Best Buy would only give us store credit even after I told them it wouldn't work! Very Dissatisfied! I wanted my money back! Should have asked for a manager!

Returned to store. unlike earlier wi fi routers this time capsule needs updating. When losing signal from time capsule to airport express you need yo manually reconnect signal. Much to Best Buy associates credit , he was honest about product.

I think i will return this item because I can't figure out how to use it, i even called apple and there reps couldn't even help me use it

Bought this to use as primary wireless router and my prior generation to convert to wireless extender. Easy to do with apple instructions from support, no problems.

The price was holding me back at first since I was just going to use one of the many usb hard drive I had from my old windows days but I decided to go all apple and am very happy I did. The unit sets it self up flawlessly and quickly. You only need to give it a network name and password and your done....it does the rest. The router range is super and covers my whole house with top speed. Just knowing that my information is now automatically backed up is great but it will do multiple computers over the network and automatically keep the information separated and update is a great piece of mind. I'm glad I went this option.

Its not an appealing product as other devices its very restricted

I purchased my Mac Air laptop several months ago and about a week ago I finally got around to addressing a backup solution. I learned about this product, which is a combination of a backup device and a wireless router. My wireless was several years old, so this solved two birds with one stone. I installed it, and started the Time Machine app on my Mac. Within a couple of hours my Mac was backed up. Yesterday, I made a big mistake and installed the new El Capitan OS. The upgrade failed and after several hours, Apple support tossed in the towel and told me to take it to a service center. I did that today and after analyzing my Mac, the only option was to erase the hard drive and reinstall Yosemite OS. I crossed my fingers and hoped that the backup on the time capsule would work. I got home, connected to my Wifi, clicked the option to restore from the Time Capsule and several hours later, all my apps, data and settings were fully restored. I was exactly where I was before starting the upgrade. The device combined with the Apple backup/restore functionality is nothing short of amazing. Hands down this is best hardware investment I have ever made.

Wow, I was expecting a speed increase, but not double. My wifi download speed literally doubled from my cable router to my Airport Time Capsule. I was blown away by the new cable router but still needed a back up so I figured I would try the ATC, 3TB should more than cover what I need. If you can afford it, buy it, you won't be sorry!

It is a great product even though it's pricey. I'd recommend to someone who has a lot of apple products.

I used to have a ton of in and out with my old Linksys router, this one I have had NOT ONE problem with, and it wirelessly backs up 2 of my apple machines! Totally worth the $$

I do not have a single Mac in my network, but I got this because it is simple to hook up to a PC as well. I also like it as my wifi-router. It works much better for wi-fi than my Verizon FiOS router with further reach.
