I bought this watch when it was $350, the quality is amazing for that price, especially when it was originally $1049. No tools required to adjust to your wrist size. And it simply looks better with this type of band. I have purchased multiple Apple watches and this is by far the best. Stainless steel is a little more expensive but it's worth it compared to the aluminum.

I love my apple time machine, with the stainless steel casting, sapphire crystal glass, stainless steel bracelet for $400, you can't ignore that. The watch that some people paid $1100 for it, and now is $400. It looks like this watch is going to become part of the apple's relic collection, because I don't see apple making too many expensive watches anymore or at all. I can understand that people don't want to pay big bucks for an electronic board vs traditional concept of the watch ⌚️. Consequently, I can handle the bearings of $400 Apple Watch with such a elegant appeal to it. Something that I desired to buy this watch at this price range. There were times that I was about to cross the temptation line, but then beheld my enthusiasm. The first generation watch is not far behind the Apple Watch 2. The only thing that Apple Watch 2 sets the bar higher from the first generations watches is the built in GPS. But this particular watch beats the Apple Watch 2 series by many Goodies apart the GPS, which is a silent upgrade in my views. Why, because you still need an iPhone to sync your watch and operate other features. So the GPS doesn't totally cut off the watches dependency from the iPhone assisted operation.

I resisted purchasing a smartwatch for some time, but when this particular Apple Watch was price reduced in September upon the release of Apple Watch Series 2, I decided to take a chance. I opted for the black stainless steel watch because I liked how the material is so dark that the screen blends in when it is off. I also really like the appearance of the black stainless steel metal band; it elevates the smart watch to a more elegant level. Additionally, I have small wrists, and the watch band was incredibly easy to re-size. This watch offers all of the functionality I was hoping for in a smartwatch; it vibrates when I receive a text, phone call, or other phone notification, and it also vibrates to remind me to stand up if I've been sitting for too long of a period, which tends to happen working in an office cubicle job. It keeps track of various health activities. If listening to music on a bluetooth speaker, it is easy to skip a track or pause the audio via the watch face. When I utilized the GPS functionality on my iphone, the watch vibrated and indicated each change in direction. I appreciate that there are a number of watch faces available via the app; I have a favored watch face that I have been using over my month of ownership, but I also installed a handful of others so that I can customize the watch face if I so desire. I also like that it is very easy to switch out the watch band so that I can use a silicone band as opposed to this stainless steel band when active. Given the massive savings by purchasing the older watch after the Series 2 was released, I don't mind that this watch isn't fully waterproof. Overall, I've been very pleased with this purchase after one month of use. I charge my watch every night, and I've still had around 40% of battery life at the end of each day. I would highly recommend the black stainless steel Apple watch to any iphone owner who is considering purchasing a smartwatch.

The apple watch in space black stainless steel, with the space black link band is spectacular! The band itself would be rather pricey, but getting the Stainless steel version of the Apple watch original version on closeout with the fancier watch band included made it a spectacular deal. Highly recommend it. I had a pebble time round which I loved, and was the main reason I decided to get an Apple Watch with Pebbles demise. This was a great purchase and Apple Care is always highly recommended with Apple portable purchases as one bad software or firmware update may brick the watch as the latest update did to some of the new Apple Watch 2's last week! I am happy with my purchase, and even if the Apple Watch never reaches the expectations of being the next Swatch Fad, it still has its uses. And like a Movado, it is so pretty to look at! Great watch!

This is my third Apple Watch. My first was swallowed by the ocean, and my second is still worn daily. I have had my eye on the link bracelet from its introduction, but never seriously considered it until the price drop on the first model. I was hesitant to be the 38mm, but I absolutely love the size. Battery life is just enough to get through a day, whereas the 42 has more to spare. WatchOS 3 brought new life to the first model.

I got this at BestBuy for an awesome deal of $249 and the watch is well worth the price. Firstly, the size is customizable by removing links on each side to get a snug fit and the display looks stunning (sapphire crystal) over the Apple watch sport. Based on some earlier that Steel can get scratches, I got a Casemate dumper case and it does not add much to the weight of the watch. Overall I am really happy with the purchase.

There are more than just a few reasons why I wouldn't recommend the apple watches in general. 1) it's not compatible with other devices other than apple devices (stock with iPhone forever) bad idea. 2) running/walking tracking system is not accurate. In fact its accuracy off for as much as a quarter of a mile. 3) heart rate reading sensors are not accurate at all, no matter how snugly it's tightened to your wrist. 4) even at the fullest charge, it automatically powers off and dies completely. It'll take you up to 20 good minutes to restart it again. You really have to push the power button for a long time and more than just ones. And this happens more often. At least a couple of times per week. 5) during the run it automatically pauses and dims the screen you'd be running for a mile without any tracking activities. So why would you buy a watch that is limited to apple iPhone? What if you wish to change the phone and get the galaxy s8 plus? Then you have to either sell the watch for pennies or just store it away for a rust. So, will not buy another Apple Watch. No wonder those apple watches that were prices for $1200 came down to $399. Their computers are junk too. Just expressing my views.

This was my third Apple watch purchase and I LOVE IT! This particular band is heavy and very well made. The watch itself works well and is used more than initially expected. I have fallen in love with this watch! Works well, battery lasts the day, and I have had no issues whatsoever. Highly recommended! This particular band can we worn classy or casually. Heavy, nice.

I have to admit, I was unsure if it was worth purchasing- hundreds of dollars for an electronic watch? I got it on sale for $400 (normally right around $1,000) so I pulled the trigger. It was well worth it. It looks very professional and sleek. The watch is comfortable and very easy to remove links to resize. In terms of usability, it works fluidly with my iPhone and is very customizable. To really understand all that it does, I would suggest going to Apple's website and viewing the tutorials. Would I pay $1,000- no. But on sale for $400, it was a splurge purchase I made for myself on my birthday and am still thrilled.

Great price for stainless steel link but no gps or water resistant

Extremely happy with the apple watch. The best part of the apple watch is the amazing battery life. On a single charge it last through the entire day which was something that i always felt was lacking in other smartwatches that i had bought previously. In addition, i could also reply to my text through watch which i feel is very nice feature.

Weighted First Gen with the black steel band vs. a Series 2 with a lesser band. Very happy I went for the band. The band's craftsmanship is incredible. Great look, great fit, and the Watch itself is fine for light duty (notifications, step counting) even though its slower than the Series 2.

Bought this on sale & couldn't be happier. The new software makes this 1st gen Apple Watch so much better & the space black with link band is very sleek.

This model is the highest level, most expensive Apple Watch you can get before heading up to the solid gold models. The minute you open the box you can see why... the DLC coating is simply stunning and as durable as diamonds almost. The big bonus is the link bracelet which is an engineering marvel in itself but easily switched out for any other sport band for working out or other activity. Best watch I've ever owned!

This is a great smart watch for iPhone users. I've had Android Wear watches and this Apple Watch is much better.
