love the ipad cover. I just throw it in my purse and don't have to worry about it. love the color, too. never turns on by accident and totally keeps it protected.

What's there to say? It's an iPad charging dock that does exactly what it's intended to do. Solid, stable and functional.

Great design and excellent for use on a night stand, or reading recipes in the kitchen.

Had trouble iPad needs to have something in the back to charge or IPad will stand but not charge. Gonna take back because I need a charging stand

The Apple Dock for iPad 2 even works with the new iPad. The dock provides a nice stand that you can use to support your iPad while it charges. You can watch a movie while it is charging sitting in the dock. The iPad easily connects to the dock. No "strong arm" needed. You cannot charge the iPad in the dock if you have a magnetic cover attached.

I thought I needed a dock for my new iPad 2, but I was wrong, especially when chosing this particular dock. The iPad is MUCH safer laying flat on a horizontal surface, like a bedside table. This dock is rather small, since the iPad needs to be vertical on it (i.e., in portrait position, so that the connection port faces down) The dock is well made, and heavy enough to give a fair amount of stability, but I don't trust it to not tip over when reaching for my iPad without paying too much attention. Also, docking the iPad is not easy! Aiming for that tiny, narrow connector takes quite a bit of concentration. This dock went back to the store rather soon, and I have not missed it a bit.

This dock does what it is supposed to do: it charges the iPad and holds it in angled-upright position. However, you cannot dock the iPad with a cover that is completely shut: you must open the cover, dock it, then shut the cover around the front lip of the dock. Also, you need two hands to undock the iPad: the dock is not heavy enough to stay put while lifting up the iPad to undock. Neither does it come with a cord: only the dock is in the package. So, if you are hoping for an extra cord, you are out of luck. The drawbacks, though I knew about them before purchasing, are annoying.

good for a stand. Shame apple didn't let you charge it in both vertical and horizontal aspects. Also a shame it won't hold an iphone as well. The days of multi compatibility are over.. oh well..

Definitely worth the price. Holds and charges the iPad. Especially great for use as nightly clock. Since movies and web material are larger in the landscape position, adding this option, even as just as holder, would be a plus.

This product is very well made but the lip is a little small and if my wife's iPad has a case one it...it will not sit securely on the dock which is a down side...but without the case and this works great.

If you do not have a back protection cover it will work great, otherwise you won't be able to dock it correctly. Also being a charging device, Apple should include the USB cable and the power connector.

This dock feels very sturdy. I use it to charge my iPad. I also put my iPad on it in landscape to watch videos and it works really well.

Good for holding your iPad, go figure. Works perfectly. There isn't much else to say. Well, maybe there is. I had originally purchases a docking radio alarm clock thing that sounded just awful, so I returned it, bought the Apple iPad Dock, pocketed the remaining $170.00, and plugged my iPad right into my surround sound system. And I've never been happier (with my iPad at least).
