These are the best headphones I have ever purchased and worth every penny (especially at the renewed price). Four best things about them. 1. Comfort, the cushions breath well, are soft and roomy which makes them great for long listening sessions 2. Sound stage is expansive and rich even without the spatialized virtual surround sound on 3. Transparency mode is the best I have experienced, it really helps to not feel isolated when wearing full headphones 4. Analog feeling volume knob is perfect! Spatialized audio, noise cancelling, and auto pause/play are all also fantastic. Only negative is the weight and easy to scratch/dent ear cups but take good care of them and I’m sure they will last years. Buy these, they are great!

I bought used black AirPods Max and they work perfectly. No issues at all – excellent sound, great noise cancellation, and very comfortable for long use. Battery life is strong, and build quality feels premium. Honestly, they feel and perform just like new, making this purchase a fantastic deal overall.

Yes, these are expensive. What you get for your money is extremely high quality, amazing sound, and seamless integration with all your Apple products. These sound fantastic and immersive. With Apple’s Spatial sound, they can really create an unbelievable audio experience. Noise cancelation was my main reason for buying these. For flights, mowing the lawn, or uninterrupted focus at work; the noise cancelation is incredible. On the other hand, “transparency mode” is phenomenal. When active, you can carry on conversations and hear everything around you as if they are no there at all. The Airpods Max are very comfortable, but like all over-the-head designs, time is the enemy. After a long time, they all start to hurt the top of my head. These do not fold up much, so you’ll need ample space in your bag or backpack if you intend to travel with them. My only gripe is the button placement. Nearly every time I adjust the headphones while putting them on or taking them off, I manage to hit one or both buttons. However, that is a very small complaint for an otherwise amazing product.

I used to hate these until I used them. The features they have are far better than any other over-ear headphones. I'm happier with the sound of these over Bose and Sony. The design has grown on me. Be careful if you use these for the gym since sweat is commonly known to break them. I had a pair replaced already, but it didn't cost me a thing since I have total tech. The fact that they never turn off is annoying but I don't worry about them being dead. I don't always put them in their case either. I just plug them in when I have been using them for a few days. My usage is at the gym for 2 hours a day and then at home some. I'm sure others use them more often. The only PROBLEM is since these are refurbished the Find My app will say the parts are mismatched. I am working on getting this fix by Best Buy or Apple. Also, my are out of the Apple Care range. The refurbished Airpods Pro gave me time to buy Apple Care on them. I prefer that over the Total Tech coverage since it's faster to get a replacement and I don't have to drive to the store. Also, I have an iPhone, Mac, and Apple TV so the switching between devices is amazing. Watching a movie late at night while others are sleeping is a major plus.

Ordered on Black Friday and it said the shipping will take for about 7 days but it arrived 3 days early which I love! The headphones look brand new, they connected to my phone right away and sound great. I was worries buying refurbished product that it won't be in a good shape because let's be honest throwing 400 dollars for something in a bad shape isn't fun but the headphones are great! Not a single scratch, case is nice and clean. 100% worth it and I saved at least $150 which is good for me.

The lack of a dedicated power button to turn them off completely is also frustrating, forcing you to rely on the case or trust their auto-sleep detection. the sound is perfect on these headphones. they are my go to for travel. the only reason i didn’t give it 5 stars is because i can only have them on for 2 hours before they start to give me a headache from how tight they are around my ears. that’s probably just my head shape though as i’ve always struggled with that issue in regards to over ears.

They are extremely comfortable, the sound quality is incredible. Yes its on the more expensive side but its better then 600 dollars . I would say it’s definitely worth the money !!!

The AirPods Max came in looking brand new like I wanted. Although there was some makeup on the earmuffs, but other than that the box and the headphones themselves were in excellent condition and sound amazing. The delivery was very short and was worth the small wait. Thank you BestBuy for the headphones, they are great!

Do not be afraid of buying refurbished. The head phones I received looked brand new. The sound quality, battery, and foam pads are all great. Best Buy provides a warranty as well - if you have any concerns or issues, your could return or exchange them. I did not have a need to so cannot comment on the process. These headphones work well with Apple products. I use them with a Macbook Pro, iPhone and iPad. I am not an audiophile, but these are the best headphones I have ever owned. I also appreciate the noise cancelling ability of the headphones. They do a pretty good job of blocking out background noises. Battery life is also pretty good. I usually only charge these about once a week. Depends on how often you use them of course.

Yes, they are expensive (buy the Best Buy certified refurb), but these are far superior to Bose QC 35, 45, and 700. When you press the button for transparency, you are in the middle of everything. One more press for noise cancellation, and you are back on your own island. They are comfortable to wear for a few hours at a time. I watched YouTube video review saying the person wore them for an entire day but I start to want a break after 3-4 hours. Yes, you need another $30 cable to use on an airplane and everyone thinks its silly to charge via Lightning. These are premium, and I'm sure those issues will be resolved in the next iteration. The case doesn't offer much protection either - you may opt for a third-party one when traveling.

Have these for abour a year now and I have to say these are the absolute best headphones for people who are part of the Apple ecosystem and have plenty of money to spend. After using these nearly every day while working and traveling I figured my experiences would help other people. Comfort 10/10 I have a big head and these are the only large headphones in this price range that I can wear for hours on end. The noise cancellation is good, it doesn’t feel like my head is so compressed it’s going to explode the way that some others do. The headphone cups are insanely plush, and far more comfortable than anything else I’ve work from Sony or Bose. Comfort and build quality are the highlights of the AirPods Max. Sound Quality 8/10 Atmos support out of the box is amazing, and now that Apple Music supports Atmos that is truly the killer feature, but not all mixes are equal. Poor Atmos mixing for tracks has led me to turn off Atmos, which requires going into settings, this needs to be easier. Additionally fully lossless audio is not available wirelessly, you must use the $30 apple lightning to 3.5mm. Value 6/10 At $550 these headphones should include everything you need. The case is cheap and marrs quickly, and it doesn’t protect the most fragile part of the headphone which is that headband. The mesh is durable but VERY thin, I don’t want it potentially coming in contact with other things I keep in my messenger bag like pens. I ended up buying a full case but that should have been included in the first place. Also replacement ear cups are $70, very steep, though the competition doesn’t offer any replacement. Again Apple does not include the 3.5mm to lighting cable, which is required to plug it in to… well anything else. Obviously I’ve kept these for a year and I love them for me, those omissions are annoying but you can regularly catch these for $100 off now. If you don’t need or want to plug in, and you don’t ever plan on letting your Maxs leave the house (a shame as they’re the best cans for flights in terms of comfort) then you’re set, otherwise you really need to buy a decent case (around $40-$60). These are excellent headphones for a very specific group of people, you have to own at least one Apple product, but you’ll get the most out of them when you you’re at least partially invested in the ecosystem. For all Android owners with no Apple products, don’t waste your time, there are better options at better price points, all the cool Apple stuff like Atmos doesn’t transfer over.

Since they were sold as “refurbished”, I was very concerned about what flaws might exist. As a retired electrical engineer who is also an obsessive audio enthusiast, I’m pretty picky on quality. I gave them a detailed going over (including packaging) and did not see anything cosmetic or functional to suggest not in OEM as new condition. I have many apple products including AirPod pros which I use a lot… particularly outdoors. I got the Pro Max for indoors use primarily. However, I really enjoyed using them when snow blowing. They gave perfect noise cancellation and much better sound than my commercial grade ANC phones or Air Pod Pros (with a hood or std safety phones as done in past to prevent loss in snow if falling out).
