I needed as much power as I could get still in a portable form. It finally came down to this Macbook or the Surface Book. As much as I love Microsoft products and loved the sound of all the nifty Surface Book features, I just couldn't pass up more raw power for $700 less thanks to the refurbished branding. After a few weeks editing video with Premiere Pro and After Effects simultaneously without a sweat, as well as audio tracking sessions, I am more than pleased with it! As a side note, the first unit that was shipped to me did have a hard drive that emitted a faint ticking/clicking noise. But it was a breeze just to take it to my local store and have them handle the exchange process.

Works great for a refurb. Good boot up speed. Adobe has great refresh rate and is responsive. Battery life is okay, only lasts a couple of hours with multiple applications open.

Love the new MacbookPro Fast fast fast. Migration from my 2005 MacBook went smooth & complete - applications e-mail, calendar, contacts et. The picture is the best. Some applications would not work on new operating system. This is the second one I ordered. The 1st one had issues, the screen kept going blank.

The first Macbook Pro I ordered, a GeekSquad refurb. was defective when I got it, (screen kept blacking out), & I had to drive it back to Best Buy despite having had it shipped direct so I would not have too. The nearest Best Buy is about an hour away from where we live. They would not do anything/add anything for the inconvenience stating they have no ability to do so on Macs. They did order me another one & so far it works perfectly. Disappointed in Geek-squad refurbished quality control. The computer I have now works perfectly so far.

Initial use looks promising. And it can do big data handling. My concerns are it uses a lot memory when just browser internet.

Even though refurbished it appears to me as if it is a new machine. Couldn't be any happier!

This thing is like greased lightning when editing pictures!!! I'm using Lightroom and it's so fast. Plenty of hard drive space and plenty of memory

Package was great, didn't worry that it could have been damaged upon delivery. Runs great! Would never guess it was refurbished!

I love the MacBook Pro! I'm going to college and it's the perfect computer for all my needs.

Received the item promptly as usual. I have been using my Macbook pro for a month now with no issues. The only sign that this was a used product was a few scratches on the charger. The computer has performed flawlessly. I saved $500 Plus 6% reward points.

The MBP 15" is a fantastic and lightning fast machine. Without a doubt, it can handle high octane software to the likes of mathematica and MATlab without hesitation. Unfortunately, my 6 year old MBP 17" still outlasts its battery by about an hour per charge. In all other areas, this computer is the best in class, IMHO.
