Not sure if it's the actual model I received, a general hardware issue for this gen iPad or what....but, while the processing itself seems fast, the touch responsiveness is glitchy. Sometimes there are delays when entering in the passcode, for example. Other times I have to tap an app more than once to open it. And, separate issue, it occasionally freezes on media apps. I bought this to replace my 4th Gen iPad, which was awesome. However, it had only 4GB of memory and I couldn't use it for much more than watching tv / Netflix / etc. or streaming music. and, it was starting to lag when searching the web and such. Kind of disappointed in this new model. Maybe my experience is common and that's why they were moving them so cheap? If you're going to do more than enjoy entertainment media on it, you may want to spring for a higher end model.

I needed something my daughter could use to watch movies on while I drove while we go on vacations this fixed that problem
