The iPad air 2 is much thinner and lighter than my old iPad 1. It also is faster and is easy to use. I have installed many of my favorite apps for work and play. The screen size is plenty big enough for watching videos or playing games. Battery life is quite good too.

I bought this iPad at the Nampa Best Buy store in Idaho and they sold me a damaged device it was bent & i contacted them the day I open the device & notice the dent/bent which was one day after I purchased the device and they refuse to either exchange the device or fix the dent for me. They sold me a damaged device & did not stand behind what they sold.

As a former owner of an iPad 3rd gen (gifted it) I have always enjoyed the form factor but my uses of it for reading at night lead me to the same critique as others- kids too heavy. I purchased an iPad mini to replace the larger one and have really enjoyed it. I just wished it was a larger format. When the iPad Air I almost got it but figured I wait until Apple did its upgrade. This machine is so fast compared with my other iPad experiences, it is only a few ounces more than my iPad mini and the screen is awesome with a lot less glare. It really is a delight.

I like the iPad Air 2 It has an even sleeker design and loaded with nice feature's It is 20 percent thinner and weighs just one pound; the best and lightest on the market. The 9.7-inch Retina display is the perfect size. Not too big and not too small. The A7 chip with M7 motion coprocessor makes it very fast. In-addition, it's ultrafast wireless, powerful apps, and up to 10 hours of battery life makes it a exceptional unit. The over 475,000 apps in the App Store are just a tap away.

Most people are familiar with Apple products nowadays. You can find an iphone, ipod or an ipad in almost every house. In this review I only focus on the differences between the ipad 2 air with the previous generations. Having owned an 3rd generation ipad for 3 years, this was significant jump for me. The size is considerably smaller compared to the old versions with sacrificing the screen size thanks to thinner bezel. As everyone knows the thinner and more efficient hardware resulted in much lighter device which you can feel when holding both in your hands. I was always annoyed by the sharp edges of the older version when I was holding the ipad without a case. this model though has round edges which gives you a far more comfortable feeling. The new A8 processor has been greatly improved. The browsing experience with ipad air 2 is nothing like the old ipads. The pages load much quicker and overall the ipad is a lot more responsive. Clearly with the IOS updates, the older versions which run on slower processors can't keep up with the updates. If you usually use the typical apps (games or whatever) you won't notice much change except the graphics. But if you use your ipad for browsing, the two devices are incomparable. Last but not least, if you have sesitive eyes, you will love this far more because of the anti-glare coating. The laser sharp ceiling light reflections is now mellow! It's not to the point were you can compare it with high quality anti-glare laptops with matte surface, but for a touch screen it is a huge upgrade. I found the best deal out there and used Bestbuy's price match to save the most. Overall, If you have an ipad prior to the air models, I think it is worth the upgrade.

The tablet is extremely fast and the new multi-tasking features included with iOS 9 make it even better. The display is stunning and it is very light. The only issue I had is I got the 16GB originally, but you'll definitely want to upgrade to the 64GB. You don't want to be limited to storage capabilities. You won't be let down!

As a senior who is not computer/technology savvy, I decided to have my grandson go with me to BB after showing me the Sale flyer. His B-day is Dec 21, so thought this would be a great way to have him show off his skills and knowledge to me while we had quality time shopping in a retail store together, that had sales clerks he could relate to, and when they did not have an answer for me, they got a clerk that could. Another nice thing was they had a motorized shopping cart, which was helpful as I was using a walker. He decided on a thinner model- a Apple-ipad Air 2- wi fi 16GB in a silver color. What I like best is we also got headphones-now there is no one complaining abt sounds disrupting them. Altho, he now appears to have selective hearing, as he does not appear to hear his name being called.LOL- There are no parts to lose or misplace, like a stylus. It affords him the opportunity to complete homework in just abt any setting as we can pick up wi fi at the Doctors office or McDonalds- so no excuses! He appears to be on it 24/7 and he has an attitude of satisfaction when he completes his endeavors. Thank U Best Buy!

Wife had the iPad 3rd Generation and the Air 2 is so much lighter, thinner and faster. Apps open fast, always reliable, never crashes. The ios system is so stable. Battery life is extremely long. With moderate use, writing email and playing a few games here and there...a full charged battery lasted me a week before having to charge again. Great product with a variety of cases to choose from.

As per me iPad main feature is size that is 9.7 inch. Mini is too small and iPad pro 12 inch is too big. Now provided the size range this is best iPad for this price range . Off course iPad pro is better but if you don't want to pay 400$ extra just for slightly improved chip set and screen quality ( which any how we will not notice ) , this is worth it. Pros: ( like all apple products ) -Good eco system -Light weight -Good camera and screen quality -Abundance of accessories in market Cons( again like any other apple product ) - difficult o move anything in or out the system , data copy , songs copy - Need iTunes for everything Having said that the iPad does all the purpose of a tablet and fills the gap of perfect tab .

I have had an android forever. I said if it ever died I would invest in an apple. After years of abuse, it now refuses to charge even with a new charger, so I ordered the beloved Ipad Air 2. I was so excited by the Air1 and wanted one badly. Before I could buy they upgraded to Air 2. its VERY light weight. Tucks in my bag anywhere. It loads quickly, and shuts down quickly. Apple remembered my name from years ago and I got to keep old apps I had bought. The screen is bright and clear even in a low light room. The sound is crisp and clean. no need for a blue tooth speaker. The camera takes some great photos! I am miffed that there is no flash on this camera. its quick, its light, and its a dream come true. Someone once said Apple users feel smarter and proud for just owning one. I get it. Yes I do! I will never go back to android. The voice over features and easy to get to siri are amazing for the blind community.

Love this iPad Air 2! This is a great size and weight for a tablet. It has an excellent battery life. Although if you plan on storing music, pics or downloading a lot of apps I would recommend going with the 64 or 128gb version. Works great for what i use it for.

The Apple IPad Air 2 features a 9.7″ Retina display, 2048-by-1536-pixel resolution at 264 ppi, A8X chip with 64 bit archetecture and M8 motion coprocessor. This device also features Touch ID made possible by the Fingerprint identity sensor built into the Home button. I am very impressed with the design and build quality of this device. This device not only meets the standards of quality that is expected from Apple products but it is also very lightweight and comfortable to hold. The picture quality of the retina display is stunning. The visuals of movies, games and media web content all look amazing. I am also very pleased with the speed of this device. Thus far all of the apps and games that I use on this device opens smoothly and run very well. I coupled this device with the ZAGGfolio Bluetooth Keyboard Case and it works absolutely wonderful. I am able to create and edit my blog posts using WordPress. I am also able to create and edit documents and presentations using Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint on my IPad.The keyboard adds more functionality. The battery life is also very good. I am able to listen to music and play a few movies and/or television shows to get me through my 8 hour work day and still have over 50% of battery life remaining. However sometimes I will leave it plugged in if I am going to be using it consistently through out the day. I am also very impressed with the sound quality of this device. The speakers sound great and the sound is loud and robust. This is a big plus when streaming movies from Netflix or watching Home Videos. The IPad Air 2 is a nice upgrade from the previous generation of IPads and I feel that the device is an exceptional value for it’s price. This device is great for students and/or the casual home user. I highly recommend this device if it’s price fits into your budget.

The Good: The iPad Air 2 has a great balance of size and weight. Crisp, bright display. iOS 9 runs perfectly, including split-screen apps. The Bad: Priced relatively high for a tablet; used to resist paying additional cost for Apple products. Apple continues to make great tablets. Having used Android and Apple tablets, the Ipad series continues to be the better tablet. Ipad air 2, better performance/more responsive. The main reason to recommend the Air 2 over all other iPads is it strikes the perfect balance between a reading/playing/viewing tablet and something a bit more productive. It can be carried pretty easily in one hand and feels like reading a book. Magazines and feature articles look good on its screen. Watching Netflix provides a good screen size, looks sharp. IOS 9 runs great which includes all of the latest features, including split screen and finger print access.

I'm sure most of you already know what an iPad is, what it can or can't do. This is Appe's latest version, announced in Fall 14'. This new version is slightly different from the previous version mainly due to the following: Touch ID to log in like the phone, make purchase etc, slightly thinner, better camera (one facing away from you), better processor, and can take slo-mo video. If you already have an Air, I don't think its worth upgrading. Anything older than air, it's a decent upgrade. While it is thin, if you plan on putting any protective case in it, it'll take away from the thinness. The original air is pretty thin already and can be had for $100 less, maybe more. I have an iPhone 6, so I got used to the touch ID. Sometimes I find myself trying to log into my gen 1 iPad air with my finger, but it's not supported. Anyway, a nice device overall, enjoy!

I got this iPad for a great price for their 4-hour sale and the performance, display, and especially the weight for the size is superb. As thin as it is, the battery life is amazing. Worth the the upgrade from the first generation iPad Air.

I love my iPad Air 2. It's so much better then my kindle. It's fast and durable. It has a ten hour battery life so you can surf the web for hours and hours. I can also read my kindle books on the kindle app so no worries there. It keeps me up to date on all my social media every minute. I get the news and weather whenever I want it. I love to play games and can download all my favorite music from iTunes. It has so many apps you don't know what to do with them all. The color is incredible. I love how all my files are protected by the finger print scanner so you don't have to remember a password if you choose not to.The camera on the Air 2 is great for photos of selfies or with a group of friends. If you're thinking about whether or not to get Android or Apple, choose Apple it's better. I highly recommend it!

    First iPad Ever

This is my first iPad ever and I do like it and would recommend it. I cannot compare it to any other models or current manufacturers, but I did have an old HP Touchpad that I loved. I still like the Touchpad interface better but unfortunately they discontinued it years ago so development of hardware, updates, and apps stopped. My wife and I both have iPhones (the new 6 and my work phone a 4s) so we decided to go with the iPad for compatibility, pairing/sharing, and ease of use. I purchased the classy looking white/gold 16gig Air 2. The Fingerprint ID is very nice, and of course the apps are abundant. I'm a techy by trade, but my wife is not. This is a very easy device for her to use. We have a pc and this is not a device to replace a pc used for running programs. It's perfect for 95% of my wife's productivity and about 50% of mine. We use it for: 1) email and Facebook, 2) internet surfing, and 3) sports, TV, Netflix, apps. It might be justified, but I still think these things are expensive. I did get a good deal from Best Buy on Black Friday 2014. My first choice was the new Microsoft Surface Pro 3, but at $750+ the iPad Air 2 was half the price. Pro's: Fingerprint (touch) ID, Retina Display, camera, thin, lite, abundant apps. Con's: Price, cannot set up multiple user accounts. I'm rating the Air 2 a "4" because of the con's listed above (I think all tablets over $250 are expensive), and I still think the HP Touchpads interface was better. All that aside, if your looking for a tablet that is easy to use, thin and light, with abundant apps you will not be disappointed. So far the battery life is impressive, but I will hold judgment after at least a year of use. I would recommend it.

I was looking to upgrade from my iPad 2 when I purchased the iPad Air 2. Having had an iPhone 6 already, it was tough going from a Retina display to a non-retina display. My iPad 2 was starting to get laggy too. The Air 2 has surpassed my expectations. It's extremely lightweight and fast. It's a powerful tablet to say the least. There IS a fairly significant vibration felt when the volume is half way up and higher due to the thin profile of the chassis, but it wasn't a big deal for me since I don't play music on it, and whenever I do watch movies or video I use my Bose earbuds, which are far superior in sound quality anyway. This also gets me around the vibration "issue". I wouldn't let this hinder you, however, from purchasing an otherwise great unit.
