My first iPad and I'm very very pleased. As every review mentions, the display is awesome. I use the iPad for reading, both Kindle and Nook books, and watching Netflix and Hulu so the display is very important. The larger size also makes this a much better e-reader than the Nook Color it replaces. My only complaint is the rather long charging time. I guess I don't like to put it down and wait for it to charge up, as I am using it constantly to check email, Facebook and Twitter. The long battery life makes up for that though. Did I mention how AWESOME it is?!?

Great Father's Day gift, easy to use, many great apps and clarity and speed is fantastic.

This is my first Apple product. I was expecting to be impressed, but I have been just blown away. The display is unbelievable. The tablet is so easy to use and wi-fi response is very quick. I'm quickly becoming an Apple fan, which for me is a big leap. Don't think I can go back to PC and Microsoft.

This device does more than I anticipted. It functions well, with add-on apps as an independent resouce to produce & edit presentation documents, manipulater student data, and aquire photographs. It is small and light enough to take into environments that would prohibit a laptop (tactical medicine scenarios) and still yields outstanding educational and research output. 32 GB memory has not been an issue thus far.

What can I say? It's another great Apple product. The Retina display is what sold me on it. I wish it was a bit faster, but it is okay. I also wish that Apple would lower the price a bit, but they are making money hand over fist, so why would they. I also wish that Apple would add stereo speakers, that would make the video watch experience even more amazing.

Any review of an iPad would be somewhat redundant. I am a sailor and I got it for its navigation features. New retina display is great. I got the one with cellular so it would have a GPS, but I have a My-Fi hotspot, so I don't need to activate the cellular.
The battery life is a joke and it takes an extreme amount of time to recharge with the adapter, much less try it will the USB port. I haven't had a severe issue with heat yet as some have, but I haven't really bogged mine down yet either..... The screen quality and crispness has no match in the tablet world. It's beautiful.

Since purchase I have found an app for almost everything I can think of. The quality of the picture is THE BEST there is , which makes everything more enjoyable and makes reading small text a lot easier on the eyes . The screens aspect ratio compared to android 10.1 tablets is so much smarter.
It's so easy to carry it around with you. I love the size of the screen. So much more convenient than a laptop and the pics are better than my $1,000 Canon!

This is a replacement device for my iPad2. Same great features but faster, better screen and higher quality photos.

The ease and functionality of the IPad is awesome. I'm using it now while on a car trip and able to tackle so many tasks. Now I can say goodbye to the laptop!

Overall it is easy to use and has great picture quality for watching movies, etc. I still prefer the keyboard of a laptop.

I've owned all 3 versions of the iPad and they just continue to get better. I could definitely see the difference in the "new" iPad over my iPad2 after comparing them, then it was very noticeable. The text improvements are very impressive. I enjoy my iPad experiences.

Its pretty nice and I have yet to find out everything it can do and I'm pretty IT saavy. If you are going to pay this much for something, buying the 32GB doesn't make sense when the 64GB is $100 more.

IT's an Apple product, which makes the absolute best devices on the planet ! If you ever get a Mac computer, after about a month you'll throw rocks at a PC. EVERYTHING WORKS BETTER AND FASTER.

Bubbles appeared on the screen after a while. I think the temperature of the IPad was excessive and may of caused the bubbles? Battery duration is not worth the extra weight. The charger was so hot after charging the charger almost burnt my fingers when unplugging it. The IPad 3 was also heavier than the IPad 2. Sorry, going to return for an IPad 2 or wait for the IPad 4. Not impressed with the IPad 3, especially considering the cost. Also, the Ipads are delicate/easily broken, not worth the price. Use a smart phone instead.

There is no tablet market, just an iPad market. It's not just about the quantity of apps available, but the quality of good apps. Nothing beats the iPad.
