My niece really enjoyed the phone. Gave it for her birthday. The pick up process is a breeze at Mission Valley store. Wish it had an option for a gift wrap to save tim during the rush. She said that the phone serves its purpose. Very clear camera and overall apple intelligence is a gae changer. My gen alpha is happy.

The iPhone 16e works great! I know that there was some hesitation about the camera quality, but I have no complaints at all. I think the 16e is a nice option for people who don't want to sacrifice quality, but also pay a bit less than the more expensive options for iPhones.

I purchased the Apple - iPhone 16e 128GB - Apple Intelligence (Unlocked) - White as a gift for my mom. Before buying, I specifically asked multiple times whether this was a SIM-free, fully unlocked phone. The salesperson assured me that it was. To my shock, after gifting the phone, we realized it is not unlocked. It shows clearly in the settings: Carrier Lock: SIM locked We were unable to connect to any operators outside the U.S. This defeats the entire purpose of buying an “unlocked” device. Here are the phone details: Purchase Date: Nov 11, 2025 Order Number: 0393 070 1460 111125 Model: MD0W4LL/A – SKU: 6507524 EID: 89043052010008889724021370256063 IMEI1: 351811690415273 IMEI2: 351811690027245 Carrier Lock: SIM Locked I even contacted customer support and was told to physically visit a Best Buy store — which is not a practical solution, especially when the device was supposed to be carrier unlocked right from the start. Reference ID: 367026600 — so I don’t have to explain everything again. Extremely frustrated. This is misleading advertising and wasted time, especially when it was bought as a special gift. I expected better from Best Buy. I can provide screenshots and proof.

My box arrived tampered with and the phone had been stolen! Best Buy refused to replace it and I received no resolution to the issue and after several attempts they told me to contact my local police and they wouldn't help either. I spent over $600 and I am without the phone feeling cheated and extremely disappointed in Best Buy. Do not order online but go to the store if you don't want this to happen to you!

I always buy my smartphones and computers at Best Buy for store pickup so that it doesn't get lost in the mail. The iPhone 16e works good. I'm getting used to Face ID. Battery life is a little better than previous versions. So is the camera. For the satellite connectivity feature, you need to have no Wi-Fi and no cellular in order to use that (it's a last resort option) and you need to be outside with clear skies or at least next to a large window. This is a known issue amongst Apple support, but sometimes for newer iPhones, when you try to find the satellite feature, it doesn't even show up in the control center. I just updated my software, restarted my iPhone and waited a couple of days and it just came up by itself.

This phone is a huge upgrade from my former iPhone mini 12. It's just a tad bigger than my old phone, which I had to get used to. The features are great and the phone works great as well.

It's what you expect from an Apple product. It has all the tech I need, a great camera and a nice size. The price is also affordable.
