I needed to replace my iPhone 5S 16GB, which was running out of room and becoming very slow. I did not want to increase the size of my phone, as it fits in convenient places in my vehicles, etc. The iPhone SE has a processor exactly twice as fast as the 5S's, and the 128GB version is eight times the storage of the 5S, without the increased size of the 6 or 7 models. It's like stuffing a more powerful modern engine into my old sports car.

Had an iPhone 4 for years but had to upgrade because of low battery life, storage space & was having problems with texting & picture taking. I loved my 4 but didn’t want to pay so much for the newest or latest models so this was in my price range & has all the same bells & whistles as the others plus the screen size is perfect for me with lots of storage space for my pictures & music.

I've had several illuminating experiences since purchasing my new iPhone SE - people with whom I've shared photos, shown a video or asked to enter their contact information into my phone that exclaimed in horror how small and "old" my phone was. "Why don't you get a new one!?" they've asked incredulously. "It IS new," I reply, and add that I have no use or need for a giant phone because I also have tablets and laptops that are much better for large-format computing tasks. It boggles my mind that so many people have been brain washed to believe the "bigger is better" approach to phones. I thought the dream of modern technology was to maximize capability while minimizing form factors, but I'm clearly in the minority. Well, I love the iPhone SE. The only thing that could really be better about it would be if they'd update the internals to have the same processing power as the iPhone 7 instead of the iPhone 6S, but I'm not sure for most of what I do that I'd notice the difference. I'm terrified that this will be a flash-in-the-pan and Apple will abandon the concept after this iteration. I need something that slips easily into my pants pocket and lets me sit down without severing blood flow to my lower extremities. I need to be able to view/participate in a web conference in Citrix while simultaneously leveraging my connection as a mobile hotspot for other devices and do other multi-tasking activities and this phone absolutely handles it all with aplomb. Do I wish this had the sheer computational power of a Galaxy S8? Sure. But, until those of us who are left scratching our heads at the shrinking difference in size between iPhone Pluses and iPads are given a pocket supercomputer, the SE will do. It was markedly speedier than my aging 5S and the addition of a 128GB model means I can load up basically every lossless audio recording I own for enjoyment on the road. I'm docking a star for the not-quite-top-end specs and also for some build quality quirks. I noticed that the home button creaks and feels "gritty" in its operation as compared to my 5S. I also seem to have some odd issues with the 3.5mm audio port not always engaging with my headphones quite right - also something that my 5S to this day has no trouble with, but they're minor niggles and I could probably take it in and exchange it at the Genius Bar . All in all, highly recommended! Don't have phone-envy, people. The promise of the future was that you wouldn't have to lug around a brick-sized piece of hardware to get things done on the run. For those that still hold that dream near to their heart, this is the phone for you.

It took some getting use to, after using large Android phones, but worth the trade off. Love the one hand operation, it's fast, no performance issues, couldn't beat the price I got from Best Buy. Mighty little IPhone!

My wife hasn't accepted the larger screens common for most smartphones, so when her 5S was damaged she was relieved to see she could still uograde her phone without sacrificing the small screen. The increased storage, improved battery, speed, and camera all work really well. This really is a 6S jammed into a 5 shape. Solid apple prodcut as always.

runs iOS. Fits in my hand easily, with nice, thick case. Has very fast processor and good camera. Has an absolutely necessary HEADPHONE JACK!! Less expensive than iPhones without the jack. All that makes for a great phone.

im not a big fan of the huge new phones i always liked the smaller size the iphone se was perfect for me it gave me the updates in tech but kept that smaller size no to meantion i got an amazing deal on the phone through best buy i ended up only paying $11/mnth for the highest memory iphone se when i bought and it is still great today

Compact (like 5s), great storage, much faster than 5s.

I do not like the larger phones. The iPhone SE is the perfect size for my needs. The 128GB, 6S guts, and camera are a big step up from my 5S which is and has been an excellent device !!

I was given flack for getting the iPhone SE vs the iPhone 7, but it is awesome. Just like an iPhone 5s with a better camera and plenty of storage for music. Exactly what I wanted.

Great phone for a good price! Husband needed an upgrade from his 4GS. Tons of storage, much brighter and faster.

This phone has lots of storage and is nice and small, making it easy to hold on to and to fit in your pocket.

My 3rd Iphone typical Apple phone. Replaced my 5S with this to get more capacity. Easy to use, easy to setup and transfer from old phone. Still has headphone jack! Can use my external DAC or just use jack for general listening.

I wanted to keep the iPhone 5S size, but wanted a faster phone. This phone fits the bill!

I've needed to upgrade my phone for some time now but was waiting for a super deal. I also wanted to get an iPod. I found both in this phone. 128 memory let's me upgrade my apps, get new ones and use this to listen to books and music. I'm glad I looked to see what Best Buy was offering! Love my new phone. The SE is still compact in size. I didn't want a bigger phone.

Bought for kids for the increased memory. Good price for their needs.

I love the small pocket size but powerful iPhone SE. I have an ipad pro 9.7 and just wanted convenience in my pocket. Had hoped Apple would continue the SE, but they are pulling the plug on small. So if you also want small then hurry and buy an SE while they are still available. The iPhone SE is everything you can want tucked away in pocket or purse.
