With the pandemic going on I am so happy that the iPhone SE uses Touch ID and not face Unlock. I can wear my mask and still unlock my phone. Nice glass back and the Product Red color looks sharp around the aluminum frame. Same chip as in the iPhone 11. Perfect one handed use. Sleek feel. Battery could be a tad better but it does charge quickly and the fact that this phone is Qi wireless charging compatible unlike some competitors mid range phones is wonderful. Well done Apple!

It is a great phone. It is essentially a supped up iPhone 8 and honestly there is no problem with that. It is great not to large but also not tiny, get touch ID which is awesome. It also has a great camera and gets the standard early IP67 water resistance rating. It has a smaller battery life than other smartphones but still will last the whole day and charges within 30 minutes due to its fast charging ability. Overall a great (more affordable) iPhone

I bought this for a family friend. He met my wife at church, and she introduced him to me so that I could do some web development for him. He was a business owner, a family man, proud & strong. Turns out he got lymphoma and needed a bone-marrow transplant. Needed to get chemo first, and they needed to see his response before moving forward. Bear in mind, he never told me any of this until it was too late. The chemo didn't take, the bone marrow was still in need of transplanting, and his family decided to disown him. Like, they wanted him to die right away so they could claim his assets. He bought this phone so he could live "off grid" and watch his Netflix movies in peace at the hospital, hoping his family could forgive him for a grievance or sin that he never shared with me & I could only guess at being. It took me minutes to setup, the quality was topnotch, and the value was fantastic. He ended up buying the phone with the touchscreen but for the brief moment of time that he had with this phone, and the subsequent brief moment of life that he had after the diagnosis, this phone was a source of joy for him. If you're still reading this, please setup your will & trust. For when you're in your darkest hour, if the only person by your side is someone's husband that would fix your wifi & setup your phone, whose wife you met in church will you crumble away, with your family praying you die as soon as possible to take all your assets, you know that somewhere along the way you took the wrong path. Peace and love to all those in the struggle.

I switched from my old Samsung to this iPhone out of curiosity, and I wholly do not regret it. First of all, the Touch ID works incredibly well and instantaneously. Simply resting your thumb or finger on the Home button (which isn’t a button at all, but works satisfyingly well) unlocks your phone right away with hardly any delay. I’ve already experienced this feature on my iPad, but having it on my phone is so much better because I use it for so much more. Because of it, I can get to my messages, phone, music, etc. much faster than having to put in my PIN every time. The display is bright and colorful as well. The resolution is technically low, but it looks crystal-clear when you hold it in your hand. Everything from movies to photos look nice on the display. Speaking of photos, the camera on this iPhone is not bad at all. It might not be as good or have as many features as the cameras on more expensive models like the iPhone 12, but if you’re not interested in those fancy features, the camera on the iPhone SE will work for you. And it’s still better than my old Samsung, so it’s a complete upgrade for me. The connection I get between my iPhone and other Apple devices is jaw-dropping. When I use a pair of AirPods Pro, it instantly connects the moment I put them into my ear. I can see my photos and messages from my phone on my iPad as well. And though I plug in my iPhone to my PC for iTunes, I still get that sense of hassle-free connectivity. The feeling of uniformity and seamless connection is great and works wonders. All in all, if you have been wanting to switch to an iPhone or want to try it for the first time, this is a great place to start. It’s also a great deal too!

Almost worth having my 6S be stolen

I had just seen my brother's iPhone 7 and fell in love with the "Live" photos. Thought I might upgrade my 6S, then it was stolen the next day. I did lots of research on my choices and was considering a 7, 7 Plus, 8 or 8 Plus. But everyone said to go straight to the SE and they were so right. Not much price difference and lots more support and features. I'm mostly interested in the camera and that difference is incredible. I do Facebook Lives and I can see the difference in how I look on camera immediately. Great skin tones (and my skin needs it). I can't stop looking at myself (lol)! And Portrait Mode (on front and rear camera) give depth of field (meaning it fuzzes out everything in the background). Nice feature without having to have an SLR camera. Amazing for $400 - and I got an Unlocked Open Box, which is what I needed to get on Mint Mobile. It was only $20 off, but since I didn't have a phone to trade in, I'll take any discount I can get. I would have chosen red, but was fine with the fact it's black. I loved one review I read here that said it was nice of Apple to give us a COVID- priced option. It came out in April of 2020 when money was low. I appreciate them thinking of us. Never thought I could own a current iPhone.

Bought for aging mother who didn't want to spend a lot of money. She learned through a book called "iPhone for Dummies" or something like that, together with some tutoring. So far, so good. She's happy with it and it didn't break the bank relative to other phones. She doesn't use it for much more than text, phone calls, and email together with some occasional web use. Needed something more than the flip phone.

I purchased this phone when it came out and figured I could use it as a second phone. I also use a google pixel 3 phone. The iPhone SE is a good phone overall. It’s a good size if you don’t like huge phones. The screen looks really good and the speakers which are stereo sound as good as any other iPhone. Build quality is pretty much exactly like the iPhone 6, 7, or 8 as they are practically the same body build. Processor is that of the iPhone 11 making this phone zippy and very reliable. Only complaint would be the small battery but can still last a full day with moderate use.

One thing though, I was pleased to receive a Verizon sim card in this phone, however, does that mean I am not getting the unlocked device like I paid for? I am just assuming it is still unlocked, and I am not upset about my Verizon service, I guess I just don't know if there's some hidden tragedy in my future where I find out I paid for freedom and BestBuy secretly shoved rocks in my pocket. The phone itself it great. I would recommend turning off and deleting apps that are unnecessary though. Not only to save on data but also I noticed it gets warm when everything is running and syncing and I have a lot of emails I need to manage. There are great options in the settings to manage everything manually also, so I quickly got over that bump and the phone runs absolutely smooth. I am only giving 4 stars due to my uncertainty on whether or not I got what I paid for... If I did, thank you for the free SIM card. I will happily change my rating to 5 stars, the value and the quality rating would go up substantially, and I'd even recommend this to a friend.

Great Apple product as usual! Never had a smartphone before but have Apple computers and love them. It was a pretty easy transition and didn’t take long to figure out basic functions. Takes great photos, great response to touch and is just super fast overall. Would recommend. Thought about the 12 mini at first but it was too costly... this was a really great compromise on price for the quality.

So I was going back and forth between the IPhone 11 and IPhone SE. Honestly it’s cheaper in price and it’s a very fast phone. I haven’t had any issues. Love Love Love the camera! And when I watch movies and listen to music everything is so clear from the picture and the sound. This is a awesome phone for the price.

The 2020 iPhone SE is a great smartphone that has everything that a phone needs... and then some. It is just as fast and has just as clear of display as the “nicer” iPhones, but at half the cost! I think the biggest difference is the camera, but the 2020 SE’s camera is still better than my old iPhone 6s (RIP). Definitely satisfied with my purchase and with the money I saved overall. Thank you.

Bought this phone for my 13 year old birthday, he was using a Samsung and let me say, he couldn’t be happier. He always wanted an iPhone and can be rough on a cell phone so instead of dropping a grand for an 11 I got him the next best thing. This phone is very comparable to the 11 without the top notch cameras which he doesn’t need anyways. Suggestion, buy an otter box for protection.

Picked this up as a replacement for an Android phone that is no longer supported. Has good battery life so long as you're not gaming as the primary use. Under heavy 3d games it will drain rather quickly, otherwise it is good. I use it as a companion device while I cycle/hike and after 3 hours of music and GPS only use ~25% battery. Sides are a little smooth/slick would recommend a case to improve grip-ability. Handles rain when it's on my handlebars wonderfully. If you're already an iPhone user or not too attached to Android this is a good offering.

My Dad had an iphone 6s that suffered from battery issuees upon installing the latest OS update. This iphone se (2nd) gen is roughly the size of the iphone 6 which my Dad loves since he hates builkly phones. This thing packs a PUNCH. With a new battery and a better display , he's been hooked on it since. I'd even purchase one myself if I wasn't such a Samsung fan boy.
