I purchased the iPhone SE to replace an iPhone 6. The iPhone SE has most of the features of the 6s (except 3D touch) in the same package as the 5. Even the same processor. It works better for me because it fits much better in my pocket, even with the super durable Speck Candy Shell. Other than 3D touch and hi res front camera, it's the same as the 6s, just in a smaller package. By the way, it's a bit cheaper, which allowed me to add on Applecare+.

This little iPhone SE (64GB) perfectly fits the bill for people looking for the following qualities in a phone: (1) Easy one-handed usability. With its tiny dimensions of 123.8 mm height (4.87"), 58.6 mm width (2.31"), and 7.6 mm thickness (0.30"), pretty much everyone will be able to quickly pick up the phone and use it comfortably with just one hand. Everything on the screen is within easy reach and one doesn't have to shimmy and fumble the phone up and down like one has to with a larger screen phone. (2) Lightweight. The phone only weighs 113 grams (3.99 oz) so it won't add too much extra weight in your pockets or bags. (3) Super fast. With the same SOC found inside an iPhone 6S inside the iPhone SE, this little phone is super smooth and blazing fast. (4) Battery life. The battery size is only 1624 mah so one would think that the battery life would be horrible. But that's not so. Because of the small screen and only a 1136x640 resolution to power, battery life is pretty great. In addition, Apple has optimized the software and hardware very well so you get great idle/standby battery life (e.g., when the screen is off). (5) Because this is an Apple product, you can be rest assured that you'll get all the OS and security updates promptly directly from Apple. No BS waiting from the phone carriers to push the updates to your phone. With all that said, here are some Cons compared to modern phones. (1) So-so camera. Although the rear camera is the same as the phone inside the iPhone 6S, this camera module is no longer as good as many of its competitors. It is a worse camera than the ones found in the Galaxy S6 series, Galaxy S7 series, and the Galaxy Note 7. And of course, it is not as good as the camera in the iPhone 7. Also, the shooting mode options in the camera app aren't very good. (2) Screen is too small for proper and enjoyable media consumption (e.g., Netflix, Youtube). All in all, this is a great phone.

With the release of the iPhone 6 and then later iPhone 6s, it seemed like Apple might be moving away from smaller phones and will only be releasing bigger ones. Not to worry however as Apple have released this phone and will soon be releasing a successor to the iPhone SE while staying roughly the same size. I went from an iPhone 5s to an iPhone SE and the differences on the outside do not seem like a lot however the internals have definitely changed and the SE is as fast as it's bigger brother, the iPhone 6s as it shares the same kind of processor as well as the same amount of RAM. The back camera also got an upgrade as it can now shoot 12 MP photos and record at 4K 30 fps or 240 fps at 720p. Unfortunately, the front facing camera is still the same since the iPhone 5s as it is only a 1.2 MP camera so no 1080p FaceTime video for this phone. Battery life is also pretty good as it can last a bit longer than the iPhone 6s due to having to power a smaller screen. (iPhone SE has a slightly bigger battery than the iPhone 5s). There are a few things you will be missing however if you decide to go with this phone instead of it's bigger brother. One obvious difference is that you will not be getting a bigger screen or even a newer screen for that matter as the iPhone SE reuses the same screen as the iPhone 5S however the screen is still pretty good. Again, front camera will not be the 5 MP camera and the Touch ID on the iPhone SE is an older generation than the iPhone 6s meaning it will be slower. 3D Touch will also not be available on the iPhone SE. Had the iPhone SE have pretty much all of the newer upgrades/features that it's bigger brother get, this would be the ultimate small phone. (Reason why I docked 1 star) If your previous iPhone was small, then this phone is definitely worthy of an upgrade. However, don't bother going from a bigger iPhone to this however if you are used to the bigger screen as you may start to regret. All in all, the iPhone SE is definitely great for those who prefer smaller phones and want to stay on budget while not missing out on much of the newer features that comes with the iPhone 6s.

After having an android phone for 2+ years, I was ready to switch to an iPhone. It took forever to get OS updates on android and it didn't have the integration and features that I really like about iOS. Having an iPad and Mac already, android just wasn't cutting it. I had held back from getting an iPhone though because of how expensive they are. I did not want to spend $750 to get an iPhone 6s 64 GB. When Apple announced the SE for $500 for the 64 GB, that was my golden opportunity. It is a little small but it really doesn't bother me. I had an iPod touch 5th gen a while back so it was easy to get used to typing fast again on this screen. It's also very nice to have a compact phone while at the same time knowing that I'm not really compromising quality or features with the smaller cheaper model. It doesn't have a 5 MP front facing camera or some of the latest cell features like carrier aggregation, or force touch, but, all of those to me are minimally important. The main things I wanted was the latest A9 processor and the 12 MP back camera. So to me at least, the few differences between the 6S and the SE are minuscule and not that important. Overall this is a great phone! I love it! And the $250 less price point made all the difference in my decision to jump on this! When Apple announced the cheap iPhone 5C, it had poorer specs and a cheap design compared to the 5S and started at $550 off contract for the 16 GB. This phone is $500 for almost the same specs as the 6S with 64 GB or $400 for the 16 GB. Simply an amazing price for an iPhone with the latest tech!

I got this phone for my son. He was wanting a iPhone 6s but when we got to the store to get it he just loved the size of the iPhone SE and this phone is so fast. And the camera is just as good as my iPhone 6s Plus. He has been so happy with the phone. And I'm not going to lie I miss this size of this phone my self. But I do like the big screen on mine most of the time. The battery life on this thing is great too. I like it so much I almost got one for my self.

Like its brand flagship this one competes with its sibling. I have had iPhone 6 and 7, and I only see a little processor effect, and camera pics. Other than that its a good tiny phone.

This phone was purchased for my 14-year-old daughter and is working out perfectly. She got the Rose gold option in the 64 gigs. I would not recommend getting the 16 gig as I would not recommend getting 16gb of anything Apple....Especially now, when Apple has a lot more preprogrammed applications and only some are able to be deleted and saved in the cloud. For me, the phone would be too small but that is because I am used to larger phones/phablets but the size is perfect for my daughter and I believe any child as well as adults who like regular sized phones. The options are amazing especially for the price. I have the iPhone 6s Plus for myself and my daughter gets basically all of my options on her new little phone. The rose gold color is very beautiful on this phone and most females I have spoken to have chosen to go with this color. This actually was the last one in the state in this color and gigabyte size as it was back ordered over a month. It also has the highest resale. You will definitely get all of the options, -2, of the 6s when you purchase this phone. Anything you need to get done you will be able to get done with this phone and easily slip into your pocket and even jeggings without a problem. The battery life is more than sufficient for this small but powerful device. Since it comes in all colors including space gray, this phone can be for anyone of all ages and genders. I feel it will sufficiently the fill your needs and more. At this price you definitely can not to go wrong. Hurry and get yours and you might also benefit like I did with a $200 gift card. You might at least get a $50 gift card for buying the SE and at the $200 gift card if activating a new line which is what I did with this phone. 100% awesome and absolutely no complaints.

Love this phone. The size, the weight, the color. So easy to use. Battery life is fantastic, so much longer than I had before. Faster than before too. Takes great pictures and has the fun live picture thing as well. Totally would buy again.

Anyone who's used an iPhone 5 or iPhone 5S will feel at ease with the iPhone SE – it looks and feels almost identical, except now you can get it in a fetching colour and its cut edges are matte rather than shiny chrome. 2. The best thing about the design of the iPhone SE is that it still feels quality. The brushed aluminium back is both hard and cool to touch, the buttons are solid, and it’s easily small enough to use one-handed, regardless of the size of your hands. 3. The quality of the audio output is surprisingly good from such a small package – sound is balanced, if a little thin, and there’s no distortion at the highest volume. 4. Call quality is also strong. The ear speaker is clear and loud and the noise-cancelling mic does a good job of clearing up any distracting external noises when you're on a call. There are louder call speakers out there but I didn't have any problems hearing or making myself heard even on windy days with lots of traffic noise around me. 5. The rear iSight camera is where the iPhone SE gets interesting. It packs the same sensor and lens as the iPhone 6S, which means it has one of the most impressive phone cameras on the market right now. 6. There’s an incredible amount of processing muscle in the iPhone SE’s diminutive frame and it doesn’t get too hot or bothered by all that horsepower either. Touch ID also unlocks your phone more quickly than it does on the iPhone 5S thanks to the new processor 7. Even though it’s the lowest-priced iPhone we’ve ever seen, it’s still not cheap, especially since the 16GB option is inadequate for most users. However, if you look after it then its resale value will remain high. No other phones retain their value quite like this do.

We read many reviews before we purchased the iphone se for my spouse...she didn't really want all the extract bells and whistles of the iphone 7, but was so frustrated with the storage capacity of the iphone 4s, which we both loved! Well, the 64 gb of storage and a newer, albeit not the newest, iOS version are rocking her world. She is able to have all her favorite apps, run all her google related software, as required for keeping up on work, and battery life which is so refreshing after the old 4s batteries we had. We love the ease and simplicity of this iphone and highly recommend it!!

I've always been an android snob, so I really didn't think I'd like an IPhone. Due to some promotional sales issues - I didn't get the Galaxy I wanted and instead "settled" for an IPhone. I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. The SE is amazingly fast, has an incredible battery life and the camera takes crisp, sharp pictures. I really can't complain and have grudgingly admitted publicly to my friends that I'm very happy with the SE.

I needed an upgrade from my old phone...it was basically out of storage so I chose the SE and love it for the storage,camera and it smaller size! I avoided getting a new phone because I was used to the smaller size which I had.so I was so happy when they brought back the small size!The camera is really good since I am often posting artistic photos on Instagram!It's a great phone!

Love the storage, the camera takes great pictures and the battery life is much better than my old 5s. The phone network connection is not as good in my area as my old phone. Working with the cell carrier on that one.

This iPhone SE is everything the iPhone 5/5S was but with iPhone 6/6S technology (clearer retina screen, more memory, faster processing). I'm so glad they moved the lock screen button from the right-side of the iPhone 6/6S to the original side of the iPhone 5/5S, the top-right side. I've never been a big fan of big phone screens so the size of this phone works out very well for me too. So far, so good with using this phone for almost a full month now! *knocks on wood*

I chose the SE because it was the premier small phone with the best ratings. It has the speed and memory comparable to the larger iPhone 6 without the bulk. I'd like phone carriers to concentrate on something even a little smaller like the old Palm Pixie but with a full screen and capabilities like today's smart phones. Good camera, solid choice.

Switched from Android to IPhones and not sorry. This little beauty is a great phone for the price. Good quality, good battery life, great camera, and the clarity is outstanding. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles as the 6s, but I don't miss them. One handed use, and slides right into my pocket. As an aside, love Apple Wallet.

I upgraded from the 5s to this phone and it's basically the same device. It does have a much better camera and additional features like recording video in 4k and the faster processor along with a decent battery life. I simply just wanted the latest without the bigger size. If that's what you're looking for this is a great purchase.
