Beware for those coming from the Plus iphones

I pre ordered this phone and sadly it's going back. I had an iPhone 4s and hated the small size of the screen. Apple came out with the 5 and I hated it because the screen was so tall but so narrow so I skipped that phone and went to android for its bigger screens. Then the iPhone 6 plus came out and I purchased that solely for the larger screen. I LOVED it. Yeah, it was a big phone but I loved the screen. I ended up getting the 7 plus but i realized android phones had large screens but a smaller physical phone so when the X was announced, I was excited. I received the phone on launch day and I noticed that the screen reminded me of the iPhone 5. Yeah it's a larger screen than the 7 plus (5.8 vs 5.5) but it's so unusable. In portrait mode, it works fine (when the app is developed for the X) but in landscape mode, it's just unusable. First, apps need to account for the notch so BOTH sides of the screen need to make space for the notch since depending on orientation, the screen will be blocked by the notch. What's the point of having a larger screen when developers can't utilize the sides of the screen to account for orientation? Also, something as simple as iMessages is useless in landscape since you only see one line of text and the rest of the screen is used for the keyboard. I hope they release a phone that has the same aspect ratio of the 7/8 plus and get rid of the notch. Until then, i'm skipping the X.

    AMAZING PHONE

The iPhone is by far one of Apples best products! I would highly suggest anyone to get this smartphone over any other brands. The camera quality is so amazing, it’s almost like one of those big fancy cameras, but smaller! The phone is also super easy to use, so it is perfect for all ages.

Solid phone. Had this since day one and never a problem. Perfect size. Screen is amazing. No need to upgrade yet. Once 5g becomes more available I will consider a new phone. For now this is perfect

If you’re a fan of Android by all means get an android, now if you’re fond of iOS more than Android like me then this is the phone for you, yes it has technology that was introduced in 2014 and 2015, but.. none of that matters if it was never on an iPhone, always leave it to Apple to PERFECT those features and technology and make them standard. Great phone

I dragged my feet for a while knowing I wanted this iPhone but the price makes you wonder should I or shouldn't I? I still don't like the price, but I love the phone! Everything about this iPhone works like it should and new features are awesome. I was curious about Face ID and it works great as well as wireless charging. There is a little bit to learn since there is no home button but it is so easy to get used to not having one. I can say I don't regret my decision to pick up the iPhone X and it is essentially a "special edition" in the sense that it marks the 10th anniversary of iPhone.

    Too little too late

This is definitely a big step up for apple. The swipe navigation is way better then sticking with the old plunger home button. But this phone feels like a too little too late especially for the price. They finally added features other phones have had a while, like oled, wireless charging, face unlock, swipe navigation, small bezel..etc While it was the best iphone I ever used it still felt very behind. The big upgrade made me feel I could finally come back to ios. But the same old problems still exist. Like not being able to change your default apps. Still stuck with siri, apple maps...etc. I tried all the flagships that came out this year and the iphone x I liked the least. I like the lg v30 and pixel 2 xl the most.

    Screen prone to scratch

Bought a $1000 iPhone x, bought a leather Apple iPhone cover for protection. Only one moth later, I dropped it from my pocket while standing up from my chair. Screen gets scratched. $300 to fix it. What a great phone design, what a great screen, , what a great cover design. Easy to scratch, non protection cover. I guess this is where I leave the Apple boat.

    Phone defective

I bought this phone on February 17th and today the 27th it has already froze twice, the screen burns “as in when you exit out of a window it has a silhouette of the previous screen,” and worse of all it now has green lines that run across it. So I went to return it and Best Buy is refusing even though it’s only been 10 days. I went to Apple and they said it was defective and that they’d replace it for free and if I had purchased through them they would of returned it. Did research and found out that the screen is produced by Samsung, if I had known that last part it would of saved me from a nightmare of dealing with this junky phone. Buy an 8 and hopefully the next gen will be better.

iOS is not as good as Android, no customizability. It breaks way too easy. For the price a 7 or 8 is the better option.
