I bought a Mercedes thinking it would have all the bells and whistles that my Lexus would have! How far from the truth was I!?! I had to purchase this accessory in order to play music using my iPhone 6! As the 2012 vehicle is not equipped to read anything but 30 pin iOS devices. Buying a Mercedes authorized iPhone 5 cable did nothing. This adaptable cable allowed me to play my music and control tracks. The only downfall is that I wish it was longer. The short cable makes it hard to manage playlists.

I know how fun it is to have a few products built for Apple's 30 pin iteration and they are completely incompatible with the new iPhones and iPads with Lightning connectors. Apple's first connector was flat and very incompatible with many devices especially if they were in a case. This product is way better. Built like a regular lightning connector, you can use this anywhere. Right now, I am using this for my FM transmitter (yes I still use one) and it is just fine. I recommend.

I have a number of 30 pin Apple devices in my household that still work well. However, I have an iPhone 6. This adapter works very well. Understand that you cannot dock like before but you CAN connect and that makes a big difference. My Phillips clock radio continues to charge and play audio from my iPhone 6. The short cord keeps things as tidy as possible, too. My only wish is that the price were more affordable from Apple. Glad the adapter is available at Best Buy!

I drive a Mini Cooper Countryman and although this car was made in 2015, the connection for my iPhone input is still a 30 pin connection. Not sure why that is given most modern devices use the Lightning input. The other plus is that it is compatible with my iPhone case so I don't have to take it off. My only complaint is that I feel this should be cheaper. Regardless, this does the job I needed it to and was better than a cheaper knock off I found on Amazon.

Bought this due to wanting to use it for my iHome clock radio that used the 30 pin exclusively. So in order to overcome this burden, I purchased the lightening to 30 pin adapter in hopes that it would work perfectly so I could use the radio again along with not having to take off my phone case since the smaller version didn't allow for this function. This also allows to use all my old 30 pin cords without having to purchase more lightening cables.

Used this adapter to use my new IPhone with my existing car stereos with dedicated 30-pin connection. Worked well on the newer JVC but not the older Alpine. I'm fairly confident that it's because the Alpine stereo doesn't put out the required amperage to charge the newer phone so it's not necessarily the fault of the adapter. It's a bit pricey so make sure you have a BB price match with their online competitors because it's almost priced to justify upgrading the stereo.

This version works with external iPhone cases, unlike the short version. It doesn't however make everything work like it did. My phone will charge and the car music center plays music through the cabin, but there must be software changes as well, since it no longer shows titles, play lists, etc. This seems to be a common compatibility issue with the lightning adapter devices. I wish there was a compatibility chart somewhere to know whether this cable can work with existing devices.

I purchased my Samsung 49 inch 2160 p 4K Ultra Smart TV 2 days ago. Installation was simple including connection to my wireless network. The 3 HDMI inputs were helpful, the picture was sharp with no blurring during action sports. The audio was great using an optical cable and my surround sound system Dolby 5.1. In summary this is an excellent tv at a value based price point.

Would expect nothing else but quality from Apple. Performed and functioned exactly how I wanted it to. I have a Phillips speaker with the Apple 30-pin connector but upgraded to iPhone 6. Wanted to convert the 30-pin to Lightning so I can continue using the Phillips device and enjoy my favorite songs - 50's, country and jazz.

This item was recommended by another store that did not sell them and Best Buy was specifically recommended. The staff person who helped me knew exactly what I was looking for and I was able to set it up and use it with a minimum of effort. It works on two different speaker systems and I am able to use my phone in an enhanced fashion. Thanks.

This adapter is the perfect solution for anyone who previously owned an iphone or other apple device using the multi-pin connection and now has several plugs and cables that won't fit into a newer device that has the lightning connection. This adapter now saves me from having to replace all those cables for home, work, and car...just carry it with you and you are set.

I needed an adapter for my son's 2006 X5 - it has a media bridge in it and to play his iPhone through the car radio, i needed to update the media device or get a 30-pin adapter. This adapter works great and does the trick. I bought a cheap one on Amazon and it broke after a week. Don't make the same mistake. Buy this one instead.

The adaptor is necessary for me to continue to use my phone charger/radio. I exchanged it from the smaller adaptor so it would also fit my iPhone when it has a bigger case on it. A Best Buy clerk told me about this issue. The adaptor works great and allows me to continue using my radio as a charger and listen to my tunes without draining the battery.

Those Apple cables seem to all have the same point of failure: the quality of the cable itself. They tend to break and reveal the actual cable threads too soon after regular use. Did I mention I feel they are overpriced? You should never have to pay more than $10 for a cable. Too bad I need this cable to connect device A to device B and there's no other better priced solution

I bought this at my son's request but ended up returning it as he really wanted to put his phone in the iphone charging slot and not lie it down on the table. If you wanted to listen to your tunes through the ihome alarm clock this would be great adapter as ours is for the 4 gen and the phone is 6th gen. It depends what you are looking for.

There are many 30 pin to lightning adapters but as far as I know most only work for charging and that is it. So the main reason I got this was to be able to connect my iPhone 6 to the 30 pin cable in my 2008 Lexus for both audio and charging since my car did not come with bluetooth. The only true con has to be the price that is why I took 1 star off otherwise it would be a 5.

The adapter cable does what I needed. It lets me continue to use my car stereo with my iPhone 5. Although the cable is expensive, it saves me from having to replace my car stereo head unit. I have a touchscreen Kenwood car stereo, but Kenwood does not offer an upgraded plug to replace the old iPod/iPhone cable. It was necessary to use an adapter to continue using my iPhone.

The cable that was installed in my car was the old 30 pin cable from Apple. Once I bought my new Iphone with the new Lightning style cable, I was unable to plug in my phone to listen to music. Now 3 months later Apple released a new conversion adapter cable and my problem was solved. Let the music play...again. Thanks Apple.

I bought this to continue to use the speaker/charger that I have next to my bed. It works great. I gave it a 4 instead of 5 because my only issue is the length of the cord. It's awkward....not long enough to give you extra wiggle room....and not short enough to simply connect the phone to the speaker. I find a creative way to balance the phone each night.

First, I bought an Apple knock-off Lightning Adapter Cable for much less. It lasted 3 days!! So, at least in this case, the real thing is best...even though I had to return it and get another one in exchange because the first one was defective! The "latest" one has lasted almost a month...so I'm hoping for the best!!
