I have a Bose system and it has a docking place for my Smart Phone, when I upgraded my phone the connections were different so I could not use my new phone on the Bose Docking system. Someone had told me that Apple sells a connections for you to use instead of buying a new Bose System which ultimately would of been a lot more expensive. What a great Adapter and can be used for many other things as well It is defintely put to good use!

I am a big fan of iPods. Had three of them and bought over the years a series of accessories (speakers, clock radios etc) that were not compatible with the new plug. I was quite disheartened that Apple would change and thought I would need to buy a whole new set of accessories. But this has worked like a charm on everything. And it recharges the iPod too (some of the knockoffs apparently do not). Very satisfied.

Purchased this after upgrading from iPhone 4s to a 6. With the Survivor two-layered case I purchased, this adapter would require me to take off both the soft outer shell and the hard inner shell. An arduous process. My fault for not testing that before making the purchase. But the bulk of the adapter might make it inconvenient for certain device cases.

This small adapter can reduce the number of cords you need to carry with you. Love this! I take the older 30 Pin cord from my older ipad and can easily convert to the current Lightening small plug for my iphone & ipod. Not longer the need to carry multiple cords & always grabbing the wrong one. Also works well to adapt an older portable sound system speaker to the new ipod Lightening pin fit!

Have a 1st or 2nd generation Bose Soundock with the old 30 pin connector? Well this adaptor finally allowed me to use that wonderful sounding device for the first time in years. I have an iPhone 6+ and, although it looks kind of strange standing up so tall, it works wonderfully. Sound quality is great...but it won't charge the iPhone while attached to the dock...which is no big deal for me.

I had an older Bose speaker that is not Blue Tooth enabled and needed this device to connect my iPhone to the speaker. Unfortunately, this was not an inexpensive purchase (>$30), but I was not left with any choice, as I did not want to trash the speaker. It works just fine, but it's a pricey ad-on.

I needed this adapter for my new ipod to connect with my bose docking system as it had a 30 pin connector. It does need a little bit of extra support for the ipod because where it connects is so much smaller. So be prepared to add some kind of support to the back of the connection. I use cardboard.

I bought this for myself so I could continue k use my 5-year-old Bose speaker. It's a perfectly good speaker that came out before wireless speakers were an option. There was really no reason to get rid of it & I didn't feel like paying several hundred dollars for a comparable wireless speaker. This much less expensive lightening adapter has reunited e & my iPhone 5s with my Bose speaker.

Bought product and worked very well since day one, i was able to use it for existing products that i have. Like for my cars bluetooth connected to my cord i already had and work great with know problems. I would recommend this product to people that have products that they need to connect to what ever products they already have.

We had the camera download adapter for our older IPads. This allowed us to be able to still use that older adapter on our newer IPads. This is very handy and it did keep us from having to purchase the entire newer adapter at a higher expense. This works very well and does exactly what it is supposed to and will save you a little money if you already have the older IPad adapter.

If you have an older 30 pin connector and you now have a new phone with a lightning connector then this product works great for your need. The only problem with the product is just the value. A very expensive sokution for what it does, but it works well.

My docking station at work had the old 30 pin connector, and I recently upgraded to the new iPhone with the lightning connector. When I upgraded my phone I couldn't listen to the music on my phone through my docking station because of the different connectors, and this adaptor solved the problem. Works wonderfully and it was cheaper than buying a new docking station.

I really appreciate this adapter. I have a Hyundai Sonata that requires the old 30-Pin adapter, and this device lets me connect my new iPhone 6 plus through the navigation system. I tried one of the generic ones previously and it didn't work, but this official Apple one did the trick and suits my needs nicely.

Well what can I say when Apple builds it you are fine quality product shouldn't cost so much though. Now for the bad will not work with case on so pain in the but to remove case and plug in disappointed recommend with that last comment strongly noted and that is also why I didn't give 5 star rating

Bought this for my dock that was purchased for my iPhone 4S. Worked great. Unfortunately, the case I have now for my 5S won't let me plug it straight in without taking off the case first, so watch that - but since that isn't this product's fault, it still gets 4 stars. Good product for when you need a transition from one style of plug to the other.

For the audiophiles out there, there's a built-in digital analog converter (DAC) inside, so the audio quality is great. I have mine hooked up to a Fiio and hooked up to my car for my music. Everything sounds great! The only thing missing in the adapter is a video converter, so you'll need to pick up the Lightning AV adapter if you want video out.

This adapter serves it purpose but if I had to do all over again I would probably go with the adapter with the cord (I chose this one to eliminate additional cords) it's just this one is a bit "tippy" with my ipod sitting on top and comes out of the docking station every time I pull my ipod out.

My daughter has an iHome that is pink and we really like, but it is old and has a 30 pin connection. This was a great investment and saved more expense with replacing the iHome. I read reviews to go with the Apple product, as most aftermarket adapters do not transmit audio and only aid in charging. This does it all and does it right!

I got this TV to replace a very good plasma HDTV which died after 15 years. This has a better picture due to the 4 K process. One of the best features is the way the on screen remote works. One complaint I have is that we are not connected to the interenet, and so cannot access 4 K material. I'm betting there wil be players within a year.

I purchase this adapter for my Mercedes C300 iPod/iPhone 30 pin connection to accommodate my iPod touch with lightning connection, and it works great. The price is a little high, you can get cheaper aftermarket adapters for half the cost but nothing beats original equipment in some cases.
