You can spend less money and get some off brand but it won't work as good or as long. Spend the few extra dollars and get your apple what it wants, compatible apple accessories.

Another great idea to get pictures from my camera to my iPad. I find the SD adapter to be better but this is very convenient also if my pictures are directly on my camera.

The adapter works great if you have your IPAD plugged into a charger. If you want to be mobile or don't have the charger handy you get an error saying that there is not enough power to run the device, even after a full night of charging.

Great to use for quickly transferring videos and photos from an older camera or from an older iPhone/iPad to a newer device. Simple plug and play.

I purchased this accessory for my iPad Pro to transfer photos from my Nikon DSLR while on vacation. I was pleasantly surprised that all I had to do was connect the camera through lightning-to-USB adapter and the iPad automatically recognized my camera and prompted me to download the photos. It worked seamlessly and I was able to transfer photos on the go through my trip and edit away on the iPad!

Unfortunately this little item was not the one I needed but it probably works great if you don’t need the device powered.

My Apple IPad is great. This is my first pad and therefore it is a learning experience for me. I'm using it for email, ebook, and organizing photos.

This adapter works with my Nikon but will not allow any other USB activity. You have to jail break your device to allow this adapter to do anything but read images. I was hoping it would allow me to save images to a file device. It won't and that really limits its usefulness. It will only read images and if that's all you want, it's fine.

My son bought this so he could transfer images from his camera and usb drive to his iPad. So far it has worked great to accomplish this purpose.

Needed this adapter to run some mp3 files from my iphone8 through my line6 Helix LT, and out of the house speakers at church. This adapter has one function and it excels at it. This adapter works well with cameras but works equally well as a MIDI interface between musical keyboards and IOS digital audio workstation apps like GarageBand.

Allows me to connect my Keith McMillen QuNexus to iPad - awesome! I use it with Camel Audio Alchemy synth mainly. Like other Apple products - it just works.

Maybe not the cheapest, but if you need to connect a USB device to your iDevice (in my case, MIDI keyboard controllers for music apps), it gets the job done.

Connected an Akai midi mini keyboard with pads and it worked with every synth software I chose to experiment with.

What to say about the USB to Lightning adapter? It does what it should and allows you to connect USB devices to your iPhone or iPad. I am using it to connect MIDI to an iPad to control MIDI effects for music making. Wish that they were cheaper though amd had a power through option.
