Would allow connection but wasn't able to transfer anything.

I purchased this adapter to use with the new IPad Pro. I have files and presentations on USB drives and the Sales Associate directed me to buy this. It does not work with the IPad or IPhone with any Flash Drives that I own. I get a message that inserted device use too much power. Waste of money.

Didn’t work with any of my usb flash drives! I kept getting an error message stating “usb requires to much power” I didn’t try a different usb drive only the 2.0 that I had at he which none of them worked.. I’ll be returning soon.

It didn’t work for my camera and I wish it told me sooner.

Product did not work for the application ... was my fault for not researching properly.. attempted to return but had exceeded return policy time by one day ....probably will not be a Best Buy customer anymore due to return policy

This works only with cameras and only with older iPads

The best buy guy recommended this cable to attach a usb stick to my wife's ipad. DONT TRY IT. That dummy sold us a dream. you need to find a dongle u can plug into power for that to work unless u have a very special kind of usb stick.

Probably I was just advised incorrectly about what it would do. I was told it could link my Ipad to the audio on my car, so I could hear an audio book while driving. It did not appear to work for this purpose, so I returned it and found another way to "connect."

I bought this and I literally never ever used it. Junk.

This was suggested at Best Buy as a way to get video from my GoPro to my iPad. Did NOT work. Connected and began the process only to get a message that they items were not compatible. I expected better advice. Return accepted, so that was something.

I thought I'd be able to hook up my camera to my iPad while having the ability to take photos. Instead, when I hook up my camera, all this does is transfer my photos from my camera to my iPad....NOTHING MORE! Very disappointed.

Tried using it on my iPhone X and iPad the watch video on a thumb drive. When I plugged it in I got a message saying that my device didn’t have enough power to run it. I took it back and got a refund.

An iPad can’t use it because on the power draw that’s needed to fun a flash drive. You have to upgrade to another cable that you back being in additional power from It’s probably great for just a camera adapter

I bought this adapter to look at videos stored in a USB stick on my iPad. When I plugged it in I received an error message stating it required more power than my iPad could provide. Returned it without a problem.

Bought it cause I was told it could be used with a flash drive to transfer photos over. Inserted my scan disk flash drive and a prompt came up on my iPad saying that it could not read it.

I bought it because I wanted to read a memory card though a usb reader and skip the computer annoying step. But it did not work, the iPhone gets an error and the reader does not work directly on it.

Did not allow me to use a thumb drive on my iOS devices (iPhone 11 Pro and 4th gen iPad). Returning it.

I was old that I needed this adapter. When I asked one of the GeekSquad how to use it, he told me that I did not need to purchase this item. Lost my $5.00 bonus coupon in the process.

I recently purchased this item and when I opened it, there was nothing inside the box. How is that even possible when there was a security box?

Well, it hooked up fine to my iPad and iPhone, but when I tried to insert one of several owned flash-drives into it, an alert came up that the devices wouldn't work due to requiring too much power.
