It was necessary to have one and worked out perfectly for his needs.

Apple Adapter Cable

Just what my wife needed but didn't know existed

Plus he showed me how to use it. When I brought the device home and showed her how it worked she was very, very happy. And when moma's happy, everybody's happy.
