I thought this was a good computer for me. I've had Imacs but when one part fails (whether the processor or the screen). if when you can no longer update the operating system, you have to scrap the whole thing. With the mini, it is just the computer. The monitor etc. are separate. So for that reason I like it. However, I will say that I soon discovered that the internal speakers are not very good. So if you want to listen to music with high quality, you may want external speakers. I got some used ones for a good price. Also, be aware that there is no camera, so if you want to do video calls, etc., you'll need an extra device called a webcam. The design of the mini is al little annoying as the cords and jacks are all on one side. So if you do a lot with flash drives or external connections, you can't tuck the cords in back, unless you use some small extension cords for the usb ports and such. I find that I have the most things that plug into the more usual usb 3 ports toward the side. I don't have anything that uses the usb c ports (thunderbolt) in the center. But, you can easily get adapters for these ports. So the mini ends up costing more than the sticker price if you need to purchase all these add ons. As with any computer, consider how you will use it and then you will know what configuration will be best for you.

This thing is fast and silent. We love it. We upgraded a 2011 with solid state and this doesn’t even touch it. Had to upgrade the server software and the hardware on this didn’t support the old software so that was bit of a pain.
