I would recommend this machine to anyone that has to get a job done now...reliablely! Windows users alike, I can run Mac OS and Windows at the same time! (Using Parrallels software) This machine runs windows faster than my PC did. It has everything you need in a Mac or PC!!!

This computer is Apple's power house. It actually has 2 dual core processors witch is better than 1 quad core processor. It has firewire 800 and 400 and usb on front and back. It also has 8 slots for RAM. Max capacity is 16GB for RAM. It has 4 slots for hard drives that are SUPER easy to swap in and out. A super good computer for anything including video editting. Notice: NO MONITOR. you should be aware when buying this that you are going to need to buy a monitor to go with it. It can use any monitor that uses dvi or vga. Overall great buy if you are in the market for workstation class computers.

Having been a PC user for 20+ and having built my own for most of them I surprised how much I liked the Mac Pro. It is beautifully designed, very well built, a delight to use. I really enjoy using it and plan to upgrade mine in the near future.

This computer is just the best tower you can get. You might think its pricey, but you will get your money's worth as soon as you use it for the first time!

I have been an Apple computer since 1989, and I've been through more than my share of Apple's machines. I bought the last available pre-Intel G5 Quad just before Apple changed processors. Bad idea. I am a musician, and I was counting on the speed of the G5 Quad to help me do my work faster. Surprise! The Quad has given me nothing but dropouts, slow disk errors and crashes since I bought it a little over a year ago. I have had to do all my work on my 2003 G4 PowerBook, and it screams along like a little banshee. Strangely enough, no one at Apple tech support or at the Genius Bar can explain to me why my laptop (which is 4 years old) outperforms the 2006 Quad by leaps and bounds. I am seriously considering switching to a PC. I never thought I'd say that, but there it is. Make sure you do a lot of homework before you buy a MacPro, and please, please, please try it out in a real-world setting before you plunk down the cash!
