Customers are saying

Customers have good things to say about the MacBook Air 11.6" laptop's ease of use, light weight, and compact size. Many appreciate its performance and battery life, while some found the price reasonable. However, a limited storage capacity and the lack of an SD card slot were common criticisms.

This is an apple product. That being said I knew a few things going in. One is it would work efficiently and smoothly without crashing. Two have a great customer support group if I had problems. It's my first laptop I've purchased in 13yrs and it does everything I need it too without issues. I'm simple. Surf the web, Craigslist, and store my iTunes music. My only issue I heard of after purchasing and it's not the products fault but I use Powercammander for my sport bike and I have my maps on my PC but the software isn't Apple capable from power commanders web page. Not this products fault just only a thing that came up so remember to double check any software you must have to make sure it works on an apple laptop. But I love this thing small and light not a huge 30lb brick like my old toshiba.

It works like a mac. Light, powerful enough for what I need, really good quality. I took one star out because of missing the sd card slot, and for being a little expensive compared with a similarly featured windows system. The OS X is a nice operating system, but I do not think its ergonomic is any better than windows 7. What is really better, the included software, such as Quicktime, iMovie, Mail etc.

This is a perfectly portable powerhouse of a machine. Long battery life, and the Intel 6000 is fine for many popular game titles from a few years back. 4GB ram is fine for my needs but I wish I got the 256GB storage.

I was in search of a basic computer that would not need to be replaced within two years. Obviously I can't say how long this will last, but it does all the basics that I require and given there are no moving parts, I anticipate getting at least four years of regular use from this laptop. That it is small and easily transports with good battery life is a big plus.

    MacBook Air is brilliant!

What I am very thrilled about is that apple decided to come up with a computer that now is convenient to take on the go; not that their 13" or 15" wasn't portable, the air series really makes things lighter and easier to use in business dynamics and travel. The air was a gift from me to my father and as a first time Mac user, he's in love. The processor is just enough for what he uses it for (loves to multi-task) and open several windows with YouTube and Google searches, he loves the App Store and has downloaded important apps for work and everyday things he may need and it supports office, which helps a lot! Overall this computer is a great tool for anyone looking for a smaller lighter way of multi tasking :)

I purchased this for my daughter after owning the 13" version myself for the past 4 years and replacing an original MacBook thats almost 10 years old and still running. She likes that it's smaller for her to carry around and since she's been using mine the transition for her was quite easy. I've had no problems with either computer. The screen is bright and sharp, it's fast, the battery lasts several days with regular use and everything just works without constant upgrades. The illuminated keyboard is great since I use it to show movies via projector on my backyard movie screen and the lighted keys allow me to see what I'm doing without a light. This isn't my first Mac and it won't be my last.

We purchased this device for our daughter as an 8 th graded radiation present for her to use in high school. We made the right choice with limited desk top space she is able to have it open on her desk with the class book at the same time. The device is also small enough that it doesn't take up much space in her bag. Great reliable device compact in size.

The MacBook Air is a great product for anyone of all ages. It's light weight so you're not carrying around a bulky laptop yet sleek in design as Apple does with all their products. It comes in two different screen sizes which is 11 inches and 13. I got the smaller of the two and it works perfect for me. I also, have a 13' inch Pro along with the rest of Apple's products. If you want a machine that never lets you down and that you can have for years Apple is the way to go. Although, pricey the quality alone makes it worth every penny!

This is a great computer for basic stuff like email and surfing the web. It also allows FaceTime, has some word style document makers and basic editing of items. I like that it never gets hot on my lap and long battery life with awesome picture clarity. It is not a huge ram machine but is good for the application that I run.

Very solid MacBook for the price. Obviously the more money you spend the better but this laptop works great for anybody on a budget. It connects with all my apple products, I am able to do everything I need to for my college courses, and have fun messing around with graphic design programs and other apps.

Great machine at a great price point. Perfect as a light and packable travel laptop. My only hesitation is that Apple is developing the new Macbook as its next line, which is so light and fast that save for the price (Macbook is almost 2x as much) the current Air line is likely to be outdated soon.

    Why so emotional!

This Mac is a great computer, I haven't had any issues with it yet. I'm an Apple product user so my expectations were met. But honestly it has been a while since I dealt with Macs and I don't see why so many people get all emotional over Macs vs other computers. Is it worth paying a $800 to $2000 for? Who knows!!! All I know is that it does what I need it to do and Apple is sometimes overrated...I can say that being an apple user. But great product overall!

It's an Apple so of course my expectations were high --- and, yet again, Apple delivered. We needed this laptop for the kids for school work but we also use it for surfing. And it does exactly what I need it to. It's light weight makes it perfect to throw in my briefcase to take to work or on a plane. I would readily and happily recommend this computer --- without hesitation.

I love my Mac. It's very small and fits in my purse. I use it for almost anything when it comes to my day to day. The battery lasts for at least 4 hours on HEAVY use (i.e. watching movies) so it has replaced my surface pro. Lastly, the keyboard is so much fun to type on. Of course I wouldn't have it as my sole computer, since I still need the Windows OS, but who knows? I recommend getting the 128GB for your hard drive. Overall a great purchase!

I have used Macbook pro 13 inch, Macbook air 13 inch. I thought 13 inch is the optimal one. But after purchasing this one, I changed my mind. 11.6 is big enough to use for screen. Also, its quality and speed is above I expected. Very good. light. Simple. and easy to carry.

I am very pleased with the Macbook Air. It's a great size, it's much faster than my older computer, and I got $100 off from Best Buy when I bought it. I highly approve of it. I just wouldn't buy it if you're an intense gamer, it's not good for that.
