this is a great entry level Mac for a student that won't be doing a ton of creative work; although it could certainly handle some 2d media and light video!

The doorbuster brought my price to $799, there is no better laptop under $1000 and Best Buy had the best deal. I own a MacBook pro and I actually like the Air over the Pro.

You can generally find a good deal on these laptops even more with a student discount and it runs the latest version of Mac OS X. Doesn't have the smaller bezels of the newer model or fingerprint reader on the power switch, but does a great job as small portable computer at a fairly cheap price.

If I could do it again, I’d buy the MacBook Pro. This AirMac is great for school work but that’s about it. But the lower price was perfect.
