We chose the 15-inch MacBook Air M5 with the 1TB SSD for our aerial mapping business, and we love it. This laptop has become our mobile office platform in the field and has been a great fit from day one. We actually moved to this from a smaller 13-inch MacBook Air M4, and our decision was not because the M4 was lacking. It was a very good machine. The real reason for the upgrade was that we wanted more screen space for field use without giving up portability. That turned out to be exactly the right call. The 15-inch display is noticeably better for reviewing maps, documents, project visuals, email, and multitasking when working away from the office. The 1TB storage upgrade from 512gb was also worth it. It gives us more room for daily images in the field and eliminated the need to carry a portable USB drive to do field images review. That extra space matters when this is a machine you depend on for real work. As for performance, the M5 is by far plenty of processor for 99% of what most people do every day. It is fast, responsive, and handles everything we throw at it without ever feeling strained. For email, Microsoft Office, web apps, cloud storage, multitasking, and reviewing project visuals, it has been excellent. This is our 4th MacBook Air and one thing we have really appreciate is the fanless design. No fan noise, no extra heat management concerns, and totally silent operation. That is a bigger advantage than it sounds like on paper, especially when using it as a portable work machine in the field. We stayed with the same color so our favorite accessory the port adapter shown in the picture also was useable with the M5 15. Again, if your hesitation on Air vs. Pro is due to the lack of ports, this solves it. Plug and play. FYI - it's the Satechi 7 in 1 USB C Hub Multiport Adapter Pro Slim, USB C Dongle and is available at Best Buy. See image. And, no..... we didn't get a dime for saying that. Overall, this has been one of the best laptop purchases we’ve made. Light, quiet, fast, dependable, and easy to use. It has more than enough processing power and speed for large QGIS files, and the 15-inch size makes it even better. One of the best business decisions we've made this year. BTW, we did trade in our M4 to Best Buy and were pleased with that process too - easy and they gave us more for it than we could have sold it for ourselves.

As an illustration Major I wanted a laptop that was cheap and a powerhouse and this was perfect! It runs great and only heats up a little when I play the sims! I would def recommend as a semi cheaper option opposed to the MacBook Pro

I recently purchased the MacBook from Best Buy, and it has exceeded my expectations. It’s open box with excellent condition, no scratches or any visible damages. It’s verified with Geek squad! There are only a few cycle ran for the battery and it lasts a full workday, the display is vibrant and sharp, making photo editing and streaming movies a pleasure. The keyboard is comfortable for long typing sessions, and the device runs smoothly for both daily tasks and heavier applications like video editing. I highly recommend it!

I've really enjoyed this laptop. It's my first ever Mac but since I have an iPhone it's been really cool syncing everything and being able to do almost everything from one device. It runs really smooth, great sound, and amazing image quality.

I recently bought a laptop (MacBook air) for school and i am genuinely impressed with the battery life and versatility. I am able to do my daily work for class and still be able to run light games. For me, this is valuable as i won't get distracted by more time consuming games and my laptop still has battery left. The only cons would be the comparison to a Windows os laptop where i have more freedom for the programs i am able to run. However, i am glad that this product runs as well as it does and one again, the amazing battery life.

I had been thinking about upgrading to a new laptop from my 2020 M1 Macbook Pro 13" and after seeing reviews of the M5 performance along with the great price point I pulled the trigger. The interface is noticeably faster and the larger screen is great. I do some photography and video work and it handles the job no problem. Highly recommend unless you have workflows heavy on effects that will need the cooling system of the pro.

Affordable, powerful, reliable and very stylish!! This has been a great alternative for me versus the much higher priced MacBook Pro models. For two decades I have always only purchased the expensive top of the line Apple MacBook Pro models, but now I am retired and living on a fixed income, so my budget for a new computer was limited. This new MacBook Air totally solved the affordability issue with little to no compromise. Getting started was as easy as pie and this new machine's capabilities are very impressive for the price. I selected the model that came with 1 TB storage, which is just what I needed and love the attractive color selection, (I went with the black and it is super handsome)!! As always I remain an extremely happy long time Apple Customer... many thanks for continuing to offer such exceptional value and superior performance!!

This latest model from Apple house is a beast that you may not be able to utilize to the fullest, its loaded with features that will take you for a ride beyond what you need. Battery life is exceptional, goes for a week on a normal 3 to 4 hour usage. Its readiness for future with Wi Fi 7 and Bluetooth is a thing that will keep you in the business for next 10 years. Speakers have been boosted that can easily go loud in a closed room. Be on the watch for the colors on your premium LED that are soothing on the eyes and the performance of the product is par excellence.

Absolutely incredible performance! The M5 chip is insanely fast, and the 16GB RAM + 1TB SSD combination is perfect for heavy daily use and storage. The Sky Blue color is stunning in person, and the battery life is top-notch. Couldn’t be happier with this purchase—highly recommended!

I bought this MacBook for my photography business, and it has worked amazing. The processor speed is amazing compared to a dell. It runs Lightroom very well, and is very lightweight so it is easy to travel with.

I've been a Mac user for 25 years and have owned MB Pros, iMacs, Airs, and Mac Minis. This is one of the fastest laptops given current conditions. 16GB of RAM is plenty for the everday, average user. 15" screen size definitely helps with keeping more than 1 window open and visible. Screen resolution is adequate at 2880 x 1864, though not as sharp and controllable as the MB Pro 14"' at 3024 x 1964. The weight is the only minor issue - if Apple can get it down closer to the weight of the 13" Air, that would be amazing. Would highly recommend over the 13" though.

This is the fastest computer I’ve ever used and the screen is beautiful. It definitely makes working a little easier. I’ve never felt it get hot or anything. I like 15in because it’s big enough to where it doesn’t hurt my eyes and I don’t have to slouch!
