I configured a similar spec MacBook Air at Apple and this still beat Apple’s price by a few hundred bucks. This replaces a 2012 MacBook Pro and so far so good. The new one is more compact , thinner, faster, and better in a lot of different ways. The Touch ID sensor gives it an iPad feel and is super convenient for security and the speakers are surprisingly good for a small computer.

I wish I'd bought a second one for work and asked for forgiveness instead of waiting for permission!

With that amount of RAM, you can run Windows OS at the same time easily using Parallels. Yes the 13” screen may seem small for a lot of users but BRAND NEW for $1,399 with those specs, its was a must buy. Be patient and hope best buy brings back that deal. BUT you will need to be a Best Buy Plus Member.

This MacBook is perfect for me!

I was able to get it at a great price with my plus membership and even though I was having trouble ordering it online, I was able to go in person to the store near where I live and the associate was able to help me order it. I am using it for work and for recording some singer songwriter music at home and it is working great!!

First Apple Silicon Mac

I am coming from a 16 inch Intel MBP, this thing can handle much more than my old Intel Macbook. Multiple virtual machines are hardly an issue. I highly recommend anyone still using an Intel Mac to consider making the jump, especially if this model is on sale again. You will not be disappointed.
