Upgraded from a 2010 MacBook Pro and this thing is way lighter and smaller than the previous computer. MUCH faster with a MUCH better screen - but I guess that’s would be obvious with how far laptops have come in the past few years. We also have a 2016 model MacBook Pro in our house, and we were expecting this to be more or less the same, and were surprised by how different this one was. Make sure you know and are okay with the fact that this computer has no USB ports - at least not the kind you are probably used to using. This model has the new USB-C ports. So any previous equipment or accessories you may have, like a thumb drive, portable hard drive, etc, won’t be compatible without purchasing a USB to USB-C converter or upgrading your other equipment as well. We weren’t thrilled with how few of these USB-C ports were on the computer (just 2 in total, and one of these is taken up by the charger which is also now a USB-C, leaving you with just ONE SINGLE port while charging). I suppose the current trend is to have everything be Bluetooth/Cloud, but I think this would be a 5-Star laptop with just one more USB-C port. Still a great laptop, but make sure it will fit your needs and any current technology you need to use with your laptop. It ultimately still works for us, but we weren’t really prepared to re-purchase Bluetooth/USB-C versions of our current equipment

This MacBook Pro is thin and light. The outlook is brilliant. The OS Sierra makes work easier. The display and sound are improving, and the keyboard is amazing.

Once you go Mac, you'll never go back! Upgraded from my 2010 15" MBP to this new (open box) beauty. I love the lightweight and smaller form factor. I was a little concerned that the SSD and the RAM were both soldered on the motherboard now, making upgrades virtually impossible for the end user. I took that as a trade-off for the small size and the lighter device. I'm not sure why the trackpad is so much larger than the one on my old 15" MBP though. It seems like a waste of real estate, but maybe someone from Apple had a reason for this.

So I bought this MacBook even though I am keeping my older HP computer. I normally use the MacBook for work. The battery lasts all day and I love it. Since I am familiar with a MacBook, it is easy to use. The keys do not stick and it is light weight. Highly Recommend.

I have an older Mac Pro but after upgrading the hard drive several times it is slowing down and wanted to upgrade while I could get the lower price. It is so much lighter weight and does not get hot like my older one. I didn't get as much memory but I never used all the memory anyway. I also have an external hard drive if I need the extra space..

For the longest I questioned if the Macs were worth the money. I must say they are. The weight is perfect, great processing speed, display is fantastic. I wish it had more than the thunderbolt jack but it gets the job done with what it’s equipped with. Haven’t had any issues with it and I tend to have a few things running at the same time.

This is the first Apple computer I have owned and after 1 month, I couldn’t be happier about my decision. The speed and performance for daily needs is outstanding and the slim design and weight make it very easy to bring along with me. Won’t ever look back at Windows. The staff at Shakopee Best Buy were very helpful and professional

I love my new MacBook Pro! It is lighter in weight, works faster, and has a clearer screen than my old one, purchased in 2011. I was disappointed that there are no USB ports or earphone jack, but I am able to deal with these changes with adapters. Overall, the laptop works great, and I am happy to have an updated product.

Like the look and feel of my new MacBook Pro. Easy to set up. Disappointed in that it doesn’t have current USB ports.

I am a first time MacBook owner and so far I am in love with this MBP laptop (without Touch Bar 256gb). I was in need of a new laptop asap and I can say that this laptop has exceeded my expectations. I am a college students and mainly use it to to type up assignments, check emails, and for browsing. Reasons why I opted for the MBP is because I wanted a change from Windows after all these years and I am glad I made the right decision. I have no complaints about the 2 Two Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports. I just purchased a cheap adapter and that was all I needed for my circumstance and needs. The battery life is amazing and will get me through on a typical day. Some of the things that I would liked to have improved is the that it does get pretty warm with usage. The keyboard is so easy to type with and I grew to love it over my old windows laptop keyboard. The only thing that I am concerned with is little particles and dust that can potentially get into the keyboard and because of that I used a keyboard cover. Overall, if I would recommend it.

I previously owned a MacBook Air, which has served me faithfully for almost 8 years. I went back to school, and wanted something a little faster and newer. I chose this laptop, and am happy I did! The screen is bright and colorful, and it is decidedly and noticeably much faster than my old MacBook Air. It is light-weight, too- I was a little concerned that it may be heavier than my old Air, but it is not (and if it is, it is not noticeable). It was a very easy transition using iCloud to upload my documents and passwords from my old Air onto my new Pro. If I have anything negative to say about it was that I had to get the USB port plug-in separately. I feel that this should be something to include with the computer if you are not going to actually install one on the computer. Maybe now, though, that is like having the old floppy disk readers to some and I am not as current as I should be. I have gotten used to it, and it is not a major issue. The benefits of this model decidedly outweigh any downfalls!

Bought this for my son’s HS graduation, bought another for myself and oldest son over the last few years. They are fast with beautiful screens. Love not messing with Windows OS. Some crummy design decisions such as usb C only and only 2 ports. I miss the MagSafe connector! I recommend getting one of those side connectors with all the ports you will need. USB c is still not widely used. My last MacBook is still kicking after 10 years. Macs are expensive it worth it in the long run.

The screen is stunning and so is the design. It's blazing fast and easy to use. Synced up with my iPhone no problem and found my printer immediately. The keyboard gets a B+ and more ports would be better, but everything else is so great, that they don't matter.
