This is the third macbook I've owned and I've never had any virus's. The touchbar is helpful with pop up suggestions and switching tabs while on the web browsers. It's perfect for school or everyday use.

Apple really made me a fan of their laptops again. The new keyboard is worth the upgrade alone. Between the new processor, more and MUCH faster RAM, and the bigger SSD, it’s just silly not to upgrade this time around. Especially if you’re using any Apple laptop prior to the previous Pro. Also, if you’re debating whether to go with the Air or the Pro. Stop it. If you’re spending $1-1.2k on the Air, just spend the extra $300. Catch the Pro on sale and do it! More RAM, faster processor, more usb-c ports, and the Touch Bar all make it MORE than worth it. Never been happier with an Apple product, in regards to value.

I had been using my mid-2012 MacBook Pro and was happy with it until it really started to show it's age. This one makes me wonder how I was ever happy with my old one. Super fast and can handle multiple tasks at once much better. I didn't think I would care much about the Touch Bar (thought of it as a gimmick that people may use in the beginning but never touch again) but I really like how helpful and efficient that it is. I also really like the fingerprint scanner. I also thought I would feel a little uncomfortable with the change to only USB-C ports and lack of other options but I actually haven't really missed it so far and haven't had to use any dongles so far. Yes, my old MacBook Pro had various ports but realistically I didn't use them all and I wasn't often using the USB-A ports anymore except for the rare moment I needed to connect a hard drive or perhaps connect my old iPad that still used lightening to UBS-A (I now have an iPad Pro so that's not an issue and I got a new SSD Hard drive that came with a USB-C to USB-C cable as well as a USB-C to USB-A cable so I can still use it with my old PC laptop and desktop if needed). Overall, if you're coming from a much older MacBook Pro or even if you're venturing into MacBook Pros for the first time I think this is a great option to go with. If you have fairly recents versions you may not be quite as in awe and may only notice small incremental improvements.

Great laptop for the money. Personally, I got this one instead of the M1 chip. Quick insight, the M1 chip macbook have operating system issues. And if you want to reset the laptop, it becomes impossible to do so. The intel macbook give you much more credibility and performs better when doing tasks like editing or mixing music. The battery last quite a bit and the materials are resistant. The feel on the keyboard is quite nice and the bar on top helps quite a bit when suggesting words while tiping. The only downside are the ports, not a lot of USB type C ports and you cannot change parts for extra storage or RAM.

I was a bit hesitant on buying the new mac-book pro with the new touch bar, but I've gotten the hang of the touch bar with no problems at all. the track pad is also tremendously larger than older models. The only downfall I ran into is the USB-C ports. I will have to purchase a "hub" or alternative adapters for USBs, memory cards etc. Other than that, it's a super fast computer, gorgeous design, fits perfectly everywhere and does what I need it to do. Oh lastly, Its not a huge deal breaker but I was a bit bummed to find out the Apple logo did not have the LED light up and was switched to a mirror-type logo. I understand it was to make it more sleek and compact, which is why I don't mind.

I uprgraded to this Macbook pro after using a 2011 Macbook pro for 9 years, and they are similar enough in style&function that I can easily navigate it, but this one is half the weight and a quarter less the size, while still retaining the same screen size and being more powerful than ever! The power cord thankfully has been upgraded so the cord separates from the battery box, which I believe will dramatically increase its lifespan, as that was an issue with the older version's power cord which I had to replace twice, at no small cost. I am extremely happy with this purchase and looking forward to it lasting another 10 years at least.

Expensive. I got my new MacBook Pro M1 two and could not be more happy with it. This machine is absolutely incredible in terms of speed, looks, weight/size, display, and battery life - and texture (it feels so good against the skin on my wrists as I type) and basically anything else you can think of. I also love the space gray color, the new keyboard, the Touch Bar, and the larger trackpad. There are so many options to customize the system to work just the way I like.

After purchasing a 2020 MacBook Air I found that I needed a more powerful computer. Even though the Air was great the Pro has been more suitable for what I use it for. That said looking at the price tag you truly get a lot more then the previous models. A 10th gen processors and 16GB of the latest RAM, 512 GB hard drive space. A good deal for what you are Paying. Weighs slightly more then the Air at 3.1 lb vs 2.8 lb awesome keyboard but still very poor 720 camera. Overall a great computer and handles everything I throw at it.

Great laptop for College! Runs fast, amazing battery life, good amount of storage available, and the touch bar is a cool addition. Switching from my previous 2016 Macbook Pro (15 inch) to this 13 inch was pretty seamless. I thought I would miss the extra screen space but I adjusted to the smaller screen within a couple of days just fine. One downside is that this newer Macbook Pro model only has thunderbolt 3 ports so you will have to buy adapters separately if you want to plug in USBs, etc.

Its an amazing laptop. First time owning a Mac and it actually not too bad i thought it would be very different but it’s fairly simple to use. The Magic bar is also super nice and convenient between that and the 4 usb c ports i thinks this was a great deal.

If you're coming from a mac, the experience is similar. It's much faster and snappier. Pros: Speed Touch bar(Downloading pock makes it less useless) Speakers(Very good) Cons: Heat- This thing gets very hot under intensive and semi-intensive work loads. Downloading macs fan control helps, but only because it helps runs the fans on full blast manually. Battery: Unless you use only safari and mac native apps, you won't get anything >5 hours at max. Overall, if you need a mac that somewhat capable, this is it. However, the arm chips will be night and day for heat and battery management. Macs run hot and that's just how it is. If you'd rather not deal with that, wait for the ARM chips and you'll likely be pleasantly surprised vs using Intels mini furnace chips. If you can wait, then just wait till October or November,

The macbook was decent but the payment plan took almost $5000 from me so it wasn’t as worth it. I also had to bring it to apple repair because the mother board went out all of a sudden which cost me another $700.

I was going to wait for the new MacBook Pro 16 inch but needed a replacement right away. I am a professional photographer and I am surprised how much I like this smaller version with the newer features like the Touch Bar and Touch ID. The size - being smaller - is actually great as it's easier to transport and use on location which I do a lot. The computer is fast and handles all my software needs simultaneously such as Photoshop, Lightroom etc.

The new MacBook Pro 13-inch for 2019 (starting at $1,299, $1,499 as tested) packs a much faster 8th gen Intel Core CPU and both Touch ID and the Touch Bar. And while the keyboard still isn't great, Apple has introduced minor enhancements that will (hopefully) make it more reliable. Add in more than 10 hours of battery life and you have one of the best laptops around, and the best Apple laptop for most people -- at least those who want a future-proof system.

This is best new upgrade laptop I got! It so cool what you can do with Touch Bar, better graphic, the speed is very superior, weight is light , and great security by using the finger print. One of the biggest reason I need to get is because this is compatibility to my Adobe Photoshop. That way I can keep upgrade. The sound is very quality. One down side I have to buy port side dock separate in order to have usb, memory card insert, and hdmi.
