If you plan to use this for heavier projects try to find something else: otherwise, for everyday use in terms of work or college this is the best laptop to gift anyone.

This is an excellent laptop! Great feel through and through. Keyboard is great, actually like the touch bar way more than I thought I would. Plenty quick and great display.

High quality and very reliable as expected from an Apple MacBook Pro. Slim and lightweight but feels sturdy and of high quality. Fast processor. Love the touchbar too!

I love my MacBook Pro. I use it for school most of the time. It is fairly simple to navigate and makes doing my school work so much easier. I will never not have a Mac after having one and loving it.

This edition of the MacBook is honestly overkill for some needs but it definitely does some wonders. I’ve been using this almost as a desktop where Iv’e connected the wireless Magic e, a wireless mouse, and an external ultra wide monitor. The battery life is pretty good. I’m never really concerned about battery life since I’m running it clamshell, however, undocked the battery lasts for 8-10 hours (this may vary for others). I really enjoy the Touch ID and keyboard on this one. I initially disliked the Touch Bar but I’ve grown to love it and even miss it when I’m using the wireless keyboard. Overall with these specs you can expect to have a snappy Mac that gives you a very smooth experience.

Light weight sleek and easy to use. Laptop is quick and sound is really good for a laptop this size and buttons have a nice feel to them when pressed.

Best Mac I’ve ever owned. Fast. Works with all my stuff. I like the Touchbar and have found it useful. USB-C takes a bit of adapters to use my older things but love the simplicity of it.

In terms of this product alone, I've been very impressed. It's handled all I can throw at it when it comes to daily work in your standard office docs + some photo and video editing. Excellent performance, the display is brilliant, and battery life has been solid so far. As someone who has been in the Windows ecosystem for years, this Macbook Pro filled out my experiment in the Apple side of tech. I've used iPads for years, switched from Android to iPhone last year, added an Apple watch, and now the MacBook. Individually, I've always felt they were great hardware, but nothing really knocked my socks off about the software. Together, these devices really shine.

Great buy! Gave as a gift to my girlfriend which she just started nursing school. She uses the MacBook everyday since I gave it to her no lag or complaints at all.

I loved this MacBook. Although I didn't learn all the features of this laptop, it got the job done that I needed. No issues with anything and it's still going strong after a year and a half.

The new MacBook Pro is impressive. It is very responsive. The TouchID works flawlessly every time. I am new to the TouchBar. I find it very useful. I already customized it to meet my needs. The 13inch screen is perfect for portability and everyday use. The screen is simply stunning. The colors are true and not over saturated. I have been a longtime MacBook Pro user. This new one is even better than my previous one. I love it!

Purchased on sale for $200 off MSRP. Four thunderbolt ports for fast data transfer speeds and quick charging while other peripherals are connected. This model has dual cooling fans for superior cooling performance compared to the base model MacBook Pro. Full P3 wide gamut color display. The 10th gen i5 processor is very fast, as well as the speed of the 16gb of RAM. Quicker read/write speeds on this SSD compared to the SSD of the base model MacBook Pro and also has upgraded internal speakers with much more clarity and bass. When using Bootcamp to boot into Windows 10, Windows runs faster than on a dedicated Windows laptop.

Macs of the past have had a persistent problem: the butterfly keyboard. While it felt premium for a time, it didn't take long to realize the ergonomics were bad and the longevity was even worse. This version finally fixed that issue. With USB c gaining more and more adoption, I struggle to find even one thing I would change about this laptop. The customizable touch bar easily makes it worth the price of admission, and the retina display looks as good as ever. If you're wondering if it's worth the extra money over a microsoft surface, I have both, and I can tell you without a doubt, this is the way to go.

I bought this MacBook Pro a little more than a month before the new M1 Macs came out. I am very happy with the Intel MacBook Pro and it's plenty fast for me. I thought about trading my new Intel one in for the M1, but the trade in price Best Buy wants to give you for a one month old brand new $1800 laptop is insulting! I decided to keep the Intel MacBook as it does everything I need and I've not had any issues with performance. I also will wait and see how Apple's new chip performs in the future as it's still new technology. I still would not hesitate to recommend an Intel MacBook at all!

Great laptop! Small and lightweight yet the battery lasts a very long time. The touch bar makes it easy to access the volume, brightness and open new windows.

TL;DR: This is a great laptop, especially if you are already in the Apple ecosystem. Upgrade to the higher tier if you do anything graphics related (e.g. video editing, gaming, etc.) for better performance, improved speakers, and dual heat fans. Keyboard is great, webcam is lacking. I purchased the 4 thunderbolt port model. In case someone reading this does not know the difference between the two tiers (e.g. $1199 v $1799 versions), the latter comes with 2 additional thunderbolt ports, improved speakers (there are actual woofers inside), and dual heat fans (as compared to only one on the lower-tier one). Furthermore, you get an 10th Gen Intel chip with improved graphics. Personally, I debated heavily on which MacBook Pro variant to get. However, I felt that getting the more expensive version would help to future-proof the device for a little longer. If you think you will do anything graphics related on your MacBook, I would say that improved graphics is worth the upgrade. As for the MacBook itself, it is a great laptop with an excellent screen, solid build quality, and amazing speakers for its class. The new Magic Keyboard is definitely different from the older scissor-switch style keys, but has enough key travel for a comfortable typing experience. My only complaint: I hate the webcam. It is 2020 and potato-quality 720p webcams should not be a thing anymore. However, this is not enough to offset the many good qualities of the laptop.

I needed to upgrade from a MacBook. The new model is fast, easy to use and set up. Much better than the previous model.
