Purchased as "open box excellent" and saved hundreds. Computer came looking like new in original packaging. Computer is snappy fast (no lag), screen is beautiful, battery health was at 100%, long battery life, have never heard the fan come on. Spent way too much time shopping. Decided to go with the m4 pro with 24 gb and 1tb ssd due to the improved speed of the 1tb ssd over the 512gb. also gives me some room to grow. Thinking this could last me 7 plus years. I've been using the baseline MacBook pro's for the past 10 plus years. Replaces my 13 in MBP M1 8gb 256ssd that I'm giving to my son for college.

I bought this to replace my Gen 1 iPad 12.9” (15 yrs old but still worked). It was getting a little old and some of the apps were getting slower. This new Macbook Pro is great. A little bigger and heavier than my iPad but not by much. This gives me the ability to run Adobe Creative products like LR and PS as well as many other apps that wouldn’t work on my iPad. This is fast and great. I haven’t used a Mac since my 2012 iMac got way too slow to edit photos with so it’s a relearning curve for keyboard commands and managing windows after using a Windows machine for a while. It’s so quiet and fast, it’s amazing. The screen is incredible. So vibrant and clear. Very happy with this purchase other than they’re $200 off this week (sad face). Thats the way it goes. Highly recommend this Macbook Pro.

Handles everything I can throw at it. Even when the fans are on, they are stunningly quiet, especially if you are coming from a Windows jet engine. If I'm not doing anything too intense, the battery can literally last all week. Exceptional build quality, much better than the intel generation of MacBooks. And the 24gb of RAM on an Apple machine feels like having 48gb on any other.

This Computer to me is to powerful and i probably at least not will unlock its full potential. I love the fact though that the battery is supper efficient despite the fact that it has a super bright screen and high resolution display. This more oriented to your heavy content creator or more power user. I got this computer for when I dabble a bit with LLM where having the more powerful M4 pro chip will shine. I haven't had a mac since the late 2015 model so for over decade i been using windows and linux. I'm suprised to say that i actually enjoy macOS I wish windows laptop would push a bit more for efficiency because you really cant do too many things with out the power brick to charge the laptop but with mac u can. Overall very good job apple. but i do wish that Best Buy offered the version with he Nano Display variant as it sucks this mac sucks with highly lit environments there is a lot of glare that washes out the color. it sucks that its an extra add on i think apple should of just made it standard with the macbook pro line. but overall a good computer.

This is a fantastic machine, hands down. I am not normally an OSX user--I have been an almost fulltime linux user for the past 20+ years. I purchased this because my previous Dell laptop was showing its age, and I wanted to have a platform that was consistent with the rest of my team at work (as a contractor--my client did not provide a machine for me). I regret nothing. The performance of this machine is fantastic. The battery life is phenomenal. The level of support for business applications definitely outshines linux. Everything is highly responsive. And, as an Apple product, of course the screen and build quality are top notch. It is very lightweight for such a powerhouse too. My primary use case for this laptop involves connecting to linux machines to do most of my development work. I can easily get a full day of development work done on a single charge. I was lucky to get an hour of work on on my previous laptop under similar working conditions.

Best computer I’ve owned. I came from using a MacBook Air M2 which was great but needed something a little faster for editing video on the go. The speed of the M4 Pro MacBook Pro was exactly what I needed. It’s just barely bigger than the 13” Air, thicker, and with all the connections I need for editing. The speakers were also a huge upgrade. I’ve owned previous models of MB Pros in the past but this is by far the best designed, and obviously, the fastest (vs. past models).

This is my third MacBook Pro. My first was in 2015. Then I upgraded to a 2019 model. Both of those were the basic entry-level models with 8 GB RAM and 256 SSD. Let me tell you, upgrading to 24 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD is like moving from a Volkswagen to a Ferrari. As usual, everything "just works" but it works so much smoother. I probably didn't need the M4 Pro chip but I wanted a model that is going to last me 7+ years rather than 3 - 5 you get out of the basic level MacBook Pros. The space black is really cool looking. I use this with two monitors in my work from home office and there are no problems there. Nothing I've thrown at it so far makes it break a sweat - it stays cool as a cucumber. The battery life is also incredible. It will last for an entire day in power saver mode. A big shout out to the Best Buy team in West Covina. I had originally purchased an open box version of the same model only to find out that you can't add Apple Care+ to an open box Mac. It's a whole long story involving serial numbers and previous Apple Care subscriptions. Anyway - suffice it to say - the manager price matched the price that the computer was on sale for over the Christmas holiday and set me up with Best Buy Total subscription which offset the cost of the Apple Care + (you should ALWAYS get the Apple Care+). I don't know how she worked her magic but I walked out of the store with a BRAND NEW MacBook Plus for the same price as I was going to pay for the open box one.

If you’re working as a professional videographer or filmmaker and are looking for the best value for your dollar, this is the best choice in the M4 line up. The 1TB drive, 24GB of memory and the full 16 core M4 Pro chip offer the best band for your buck that apple have ever made available for this price point. I’m editing 4 camera, 4K 10 bit 4:2:2 footage shot in S-Log 3, hour long podcasts and this thing doesn’t break a sweat. These laptops are also incredibly efficient. This can get me through an intense 5 hour editing session before needing to charge back up. If i’m just browsing or enjoying a movie, i can get over 15 hours of battery life. Highly recommend this to level up your editing set up!

Love this setup. Plenty of ram and a big ssd. Its so quick and handles anything I throw at it. Glad I waited fot thr M4 Pro chip. The battery lasts forever too. I have been traveling more and this macbook has been perfect for work school, video editing, games and chilling out watching movies. Thr speakers are very impressive, much more robust than I expected for a 13” laptop. If you’re on the fence, just get it, you wont be disappointed.
