I've been putting off upgrading my aging Intel-based MacBook Pro from 2019. I've relied on it and my desktop Mac for the past couple of years. Fortunately, Best Buy has always been there when I needed assistance. Their service is excellent, and they provide helpful feedback. I recently purchased the MBP M5 Pro laptop (14-inch), and it works perfectly. It's lightning fast, the display is stunning, and the keyboard is very responsive. It joined my Apple ecosystem seamlessly within minutes. AI models run quickly and efficiently on the M5 chip. Editing in Photoshop is a breeze, and Final Cut Pro had no issues with rendering or exporting. I absolutely love it! Thank you, Best Buy, for a smooth purchase and delivery process

Bought this MacBook Pro for school/video edits/music production and local AI Models and it works amazing for all of them. Ontop of that the battery life is incredible on this thing! I can make it through an entire day without having to charge it. It’s very quick and has an incredible screen on it! Very similar to my OLED panels. This thing is the perfect “on the go machine”. It’s very compact and I look forward to taking it on the plane! I opted for this over the 16” because it’s way easier to carry around vs the 16”. So if you want portability with a fairly large screen then go for this 14”!

I bought this model a downsize from my MBP 2019 16" display, but an upgrade on memory, processor speed and hard drive capacity. Why Apple incorporates the HD into the motherboard making upgrades impossible is frustrating. I was able to transfer all my apps and files from my old Mac to my new Mac with minimal effort using the Migration app. Everything went over and worked except my music, of which I have 30 GB. My music was there but the Music app kept complaining it couldn't find the original files. I tried to contact Apple tech support, and they were not helpful at all...in fact, The gal in the advanced support department didn't have a clue. I used AI, and after a couple of hours, I figured out what needed to be done. I love the machine and the battery life. I wish the same configuration in the 16" size wasn't $2000 more. Hopefully Apple won't obsolete this model's OS as they did to my 2019 MBP, the reason I had to buy another computer.

I purchased the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 chip from Best Buy, and it has easily been one of the best tech purchases I’ve made. The performance is incredibly fast—apps open instantly, multitasking is seamless, and even heavier workloads like music production, video editing, and large projects run without slowing down. It feels powerful but also effortless. The display is outstanding. Colors are vibrant, blacks are deep, and the brightness makes everything look premium. Whether I’m working, streaming content, or browsing, the screen quality stands out every time I use it. The speakers are also surprisingly strong for a laptop, with clear sound and solid bass. Battery life has been excellent, lasting through a full day of use without stress. The build quality is exactly what you’d expect from Apple: sturdy, sleek, and professional. The keyboard feels great to type on, and the trackpad is still the best in the industry. What really makes this laptop special is the balance—it delivers pro-level power while still being portable and quiet. If you need a machine that feels future-proof and can handle serious work for years, the M5 MacBook Pro is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended.

I was needing a laptop upgrade for a few years and finally bit the bullet. Best Buy had the best price around, and I searched for a few weeks to make sure. I was looking for more memory, and this was perfect for all of the 167,000 photos I store in iPhoto, as well as the excel spreadsheets I work on daily. I didn’t have to think twice when setting it up, iCloud makes it a breeze with data transfer from my old computer. I highly recommend this laptop and buying from Best Buy. It’s much lighter weight which I love, (the screen is also smaller) than my 2018 MacBook Pro and feels really great to work on. I love it!

This computer is insanely fast. This is the only computer I have ever owned in my life, that NEVER struggles. I’ve owned a Mac Tower that was from 1998, then a Mac Mini from 2004, then a 2010 Macbook Pro, a 2017 Macbook, an iPad air with the M1 chip and this is my first Apple Desktop with an M chip. The battery life is insane. I get 16-20 hours if I an working in low lights or 6 hours if working in direct sunlight. This computer never spins, needs time to load or anything. It is just FAST. If you need a computer that can handle a lot, this is a great choice.

I’ve been using the M5 Pro MacBook Pro for a bit now and I honestly love it. It feels premium right out of the box and runs everything super smoothly with no lag. I use it a lot connected to my monitor and it handles everything easily. The display looks amazing and the battery life has been great so far. Overall I really enjoy using it every day and it definitely feels worth it. If you’re thinking about getting one, I’d say go for it.

I’ve had this computer for about a month now and it’s perfect. I do some photo editing as well as in grad school with some programs that I have to run and would absolutely drain the battery on my old laptop. I can easily go 3-4 days with this laptop before I have to worry about plugging it in. Very quick start up and processing power is fantastic.

Love the M5 Pro speed and the laptop weight, yet the frame seems rigid instead of flexible. For someone migrating from another MacBook, it’s very easy. The only downside is the SSD storage costs… Apple ramps up the price quickly for storage.

What really set this machine aside for me was the 2TB SSD. I could compromise on the lower end M5 Pro, but SSD space is a requirement for my work flow. I also noticed a significant increase in WiFi performance from my Macbook Pro 16 M1 Pro. The newer machine is faster across the applications I run. It is ~50% faster when using the Video Encode engine. I actually did an encode without having the unit plugged in to AC mains. It did consume a percentage of the battery, but, it performed the encode without having to plugin. It also feels faster in browsing and everyday tasks. Part of this is the increase in WiFi speed. It's more responsive than the M1, which is the combination of WiFi performance and processor speed. I like the 14" size because it is just easier to travel with it. Macbook Pro resolution scaling simply works better than PC's, so the smaller screen did not bother my eyes, it can perform pro level workloads and sips on the battery when browsing and researching information. I've worked for a full day on the machine and still had over 50% battery left when I got out of the office. The 14" is also a better lap companion that the 16"; easier to manage. Another like is the consistent look and feel between the models. Same chassis, same keyboard, same type of screen. Just an upgrade of performance and SSD space in the same form factor that I got used to in my M1.

I recently upgraded to the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 Pro chip, 24GB of memory, and 2TB SSD, and so far I’m extremely happy with my purchase. I use my computer for a little bit of everything—photo and video editing, business, social media content, AI tools, and everyday work—so I needed something that could keep up without slowing down when I have several programs and browser tabs open at once. This MacBook handles multitasking incredibly well. Everything feels fast, smooth, and responsive. The 14-inch Liquid Retina XDR display is beautiful, especially when working with photos and video. The colors are sharp and vibrant, and the screen size gives me plenty of workspace while still being small enough to carry around easily. I’m also really glad I chose the 2TB of storage. Photos, videos, editing projects, and business files can take up space quickly, so having the extra storage gives me room to grow without constantly worrying about running out. And of course, the Space Black finish is gorgeous. It looks sleek, professional, and expensive without being flashy. This definitely wasn’t a cheap purchase, but I wanted a computer that I wouldn’t outgrow anytime soon. With the M5 Pro chip and 24GB of memory, I feel like I have a machine that can handle what I’m doing now and the businesses and creative projects I’m building for the future. Overall: 5/5. If you’re a photographer, content creator, entrepreneur, video editor, or someone who does a lot of multitasking, I would absolutely recommend it.

In love with it! I just recently changed my 2017 MacBook Pro. After almost 10 years, btw it still works perfectly I just wanted something new. Download speed are phenomenal, nothing crashes, awesome screen resolution and imagine. Haven’t been able to mess much with the AI but I’m sure it’s great! I really like it!

I needed a replacement computer after 10 years. In talking with Dillon the sales associate he patiently went through all the features, the up sides and the downsides. He shared what peripherals I may want and gathered them up for me. It was a terrific experience. I was finally moved to make the purchase when he offered to have me drop by with any follow up questions, to help me get up to speed. I ended up coming back for some follow up questions. Dillon was gone, but I was quickly helped and was back on my way. Top notch service and assistance by Becca on my follow up visit! Thank you all!

This laptop is hands down a beast. I had a MacBook Air with the M4 chip, but I quickly found out how limited it was when it came to video editing. The Air would get ridiculously hot to the touch during a 45-minute editing session. I ended up trading it in during the back-to-school deal for a new MacBook Pro, and I’m not going to lie, I’m genuinely blown away. The battery life is great, the screen looks amazing, and even while editing, the laptop stays surprisingly cool. It’s been a huge upgrade for what I use it for, and so far I’m extremely happy with it.

This configuration is the “Goldilocks” of the M5 Pro MacBook Pro line up. It can do everything I need it to do, from live music recording, video post production, audio post production and it’s more adaptive to AI. Plus I got an open box so that like a 10% discount right there. Highly recommended.
