The computer arrived in great condition and looked brand new. The software was out of date and this is where my problems began. While trying to update the software, I was prompted for an administrative password. As we had just purchased the computer, we did not have a password set at that time or access to the previous password. 7 calls to the Geek Squad only to be transferred repeatedly, offered to return or exchange the product, disconnected several times and instructed that I had to bring it in to the store to have it reset. The final person that I spoke to said he knew how to reset the password but could not instruct me on how to do it by phone and that most likely, the previous person simply hung up on me because they didn't want to tell me this. During this, I was very clear on what my issue was and patient and polite with everyone that I spoke to. 5 minutes of research online walked me through the process, password reset and software update complete. It turns out that I just had to ignore the prompt for the old password, type in a new password twice and everything was set. You would think that someone in "tech support" would have had an answer for something as simple as my issue. Really looking forward to having to contact them with something truly technical. I think I will stick with Google for my support issues.

It’s ok, I guess, for the price. Had to update it, and it’s a very different beast than a pc. We couldn’t afford a new one. I can’t say that Mac is intuitive. It’s like having to learn a major software jump from windows. Just a different set of hoops to jump through. Can’t get the migration assistant to work, either, so everything has to be transferred via thumb drive. My wife likes it but for me it’s been a steep learning curve. She wants to do something and I have to figure out how to do it. Well, as long as it makes her happy, I guess.

This is my 2nd MacBook Pro & I would recommend this to anyone who needs a laptop that's good with video & audio editing.

Well everything looked fine cosmetically, but the computer started re-starting every time, looked to see if there were any updates missing. Updated the computer but these did not fix the issue. Can you advise on this.

Unfortunately buying refurbished is a risk. As of now the actual computer quality isn’t quite known due to this is being given a s a gift. Although when attempting to fully charge the laptop before giving it to the recipient the charger had a very noticeably loud buzz when being used and charged extremely slowly. Due to fear of the charger being dangerous I purchased a new charger from another source.

The computer had so many problems. DO NOT BUY. I BOUGHT THIS MACBOOK 2 MONTHS AGO AND IT KEEPS SHUTTING OFF FOR NO REASON. I WENT TO APPLE TO GET IT FIXED AND THEY SAID THAT I NEED TO GO TO BEST BUY TO GET MY MONEY BACK.

I spoke to a representative who informed me this was a 2015 computer but it is a 2010 very disappointed with the false information.

The MacBook that was recently purchased is great. It is everything that I expected it would be.

I can’t believe the price. It doesn’t even look like it’s been used.

I tried to update it to 10.13 it won’t allow you to up date it. This was the worst ever I got from Best Buy. Would never do this again.

Unable to put a review up while waiting for a replacement my original MacBook came and was power cycling

I rarely purchase refurbished or pre-owned devices but when I do, I make sure it’s with a well known company. I was excited when I purchased this MacBook til I received it in the mail. The device would randomly shut off and restart itself then state an error message. I tired all I could to prevent the continuation of this error except spend more money then necessary to replace the graphics card so now I’m returning it. If your considering this device odds are you may get this useless one I purchased so I wouldn’t recommend purchasing this one.

The computer is fine. But when it arrived, it arrived with the wrong charger. I purchased the 15" and the charger came with the computer was for 13"

Within the first hour of using the computer it crashed and restarted more than 10 times. Report indicated "GPU Panic". A little bit of internet research indicates this is a hardware issue that is fairly common for this genre of macbook. Computer is getting returned.
