It came packaged pretty well and I was happy to see it came with a genuine 85 watt MagSafe2 Cable, as most don't. There was a little cosmetic damage, but that is expected for a device like this. As another reviewer mentioned, it does seem like the battery life is a decent amount shorter than it should be, which is understandable for an almost 5 year old machine. Mine is at about 650 battery cycles out of the recommended 1000, a new battery is only about $80 if you can do it yourself, rather than the $200 Apple might charge for it. Everything else has been great, it's fast, the new OS updates came installed, so it was on Sierra out of the box, it was clean, it has been an enjoyable experience.

I'm so happy with this macbook. It does all the things I need! I was a bit worried when it arrived because of the state of the package but the product inside was well packed and all was well.

Gave a newish MacBook Pro to someone else when I bought my Surface Pro last in 2016. Have regretted it ever since. This replaces that BIG mistake. This unit was priced competitively with other similar offers from other Mac vendors, and was in very good condition with a battery that is still under 1/2 of the Apple max charge limit. Probably upgrade the SSD in the near future from one of the Mac vendor sites that sell the right stuff. Only gripe is the very minimal protection for the unit when it came in the mail. Would recommend to a friend AFTER making sure they knew the costs they were in line for considering things like battery replacements.

Great MAC book Pro at a better price for my college son doing computer science. For it being a refurbished model I can not find any sign of use or scratches that might be a risk with buying refurbished so we are very happy with this purchase. In general Apple products are overly expensive and this enables us to get them at a reduced price
