Long, long time Mac person. This replaces my MacBook Pro 13" from 2011. Never dealt with the keyboard issue of recent MacBook Pro models, and it certainly is no issue in this model. The speakers...WOW...this is a mini stereo system...period. Fire up Apple Music, sit back, and get to work. The SSD is super quiet, even in Final Cut Pro, no fans yet! This is classic Apple quality (at a cost) and the screen size, while not 4k, you'll never notice the difference but you will notice that extra inch of real estate at the in the vertical direction...guaranteed. Classic Apple means the cost for upgrades (RAM, SSD size, etc.) can make this an expensive proposition for many; however, if my 2011 model is any indication of amortization...no regrets!

I had to wait a while before reviewing. This is great for a college laptop doing digital design and other course work. After the first one off the shelf couldn't be repaired, I was skeptical. The replacement never had a problem and still works at just as new.

I recently had the 2017 model, I needed more RAM, and TB told edit/save my 4K videos. I wouldn't go out of my way to upgrade to this model if you have either the 2017 or 2018 models unless you need more space. Overall this is the best MacBook Pro I've ever had and am happy with my purchase.
