It's a pretty good laptop, big, but 2 months after I got it the battery started acting weird and it crashed all of a sudden. This happened twice. Right now I'm looking into getting it fixed, but when it works it works well. Got the laptop shipped as well so maybe it was the weather that made the battery mess up, idk.

I wished I would of stayed with the 14 inch, the 16 inch is so big it has hard wear issues, the fan runs all the time

I purchased the 16" MacBook Pro to replace a tower gaming PC that I had built in 2017 (Intel i7, 1080ti). The PC took up a lot of space and was loud with the fans running continuously. The Macbook is completely silent. It sets flat on my entertainment center hooked up to the TV and the Space Black blends right in. My setup: I mainly use the MacBook in clamshell mode, hooked up to my surround sound system and TV via HDMI to AV receiver in the living room. I use the Magic Keyboard which works seamlessly with the touch ID and connection. I still prefer a mouse with a right-click button, so I use a bluetooth trackball mouse that I used with my PC, it works fine. I set about 7-8' away on the couch. The keyboard and mouse work from at least 20' away. The only issue with this setup is adjusting the volume. You are not able to adjust the volume from the Magic Keyboard while the MacBook is in clamshell mode and connected to the receiver via HDMI, however, there is an app you can install to fix that issue. You just have to change the audio source each time you unlock the screen. Uses/Performance: The M3 Max is definitely overkill for my daily uses, but I want to have the power if I ever need it for anything in the future. I mostly watch movies and browse the web. I have done some video editing and everything is instant and responsive. The speed of every task performed on this laptop is impressive to me. Files transfer quick (externally and internally). With the 48gb's of RAM,I can have dozen apps open with tons of browser tabs in Safari and Firefox at the same time, while playing music or using Zoom, and there is no noticeable drop in performance. The battery hasn't ever ran out, but I normally keep it plugged in. It lasts at least 6 hours with browsing the web and listening to music. I also use the MacBook for DJing occasionally. Works with Virtual DJ and Pioneer controllers. The stems load in a few seconds after putting a track on the deck. I have never had any crashing occur. Through external speakers, the sound seems to sound better than the Windows laptop I replaced with this, but that just might be me trying the justify the amount of money I spent. The notch on the screen blocks the beat counter thing at the top of Virtual DJ, but you can change the settings to make the window not take up that part of the screen. Build: The screen size is large and looks really good. I rarely use the built-in monitor, but it's bright and vibrant. The trackpad is a lot bigger and feels better than my Dell XPS 13's. I don't use the keyboard much, but it feels nice. The bottom of the laptop did kind of sweat a bit when I had it setting on my lap, I don't use it like that. I never heard the fans come on, so I had to run a benchmark test to make sure the fans work. They do work under a very heavy load, and they are much more quiet than any PC or Windows Laptop. The design is sleek and sturdy. All the ports feel well built and snug. Switch from Windows PC: This is my first experience owning a laptop with Mac OS after having used mostly Windows for nearly 30 years. It took a couple weeks of Googling every task within the new OS that differs from Windows, but overall it seems like there is a lot less to maintain in Mac OS. Everything is smooth and easy to find once you get used to it. It's very user friendly. The only issue I had was when I transferred just under a terabyte of music from my PC using an external SSD. Some of the file names were not compatible with Mac OS and I got an error that paused the entire transfer. In Windows it gives you the option to skip the error files and set them aside to review once the other files have transferred. In MacOS, the entire transfer would stop each time there was an error, and I would have to manually restart the transfer after slightly modifying the file name. It may just be my ignorance, but I could not figure out how to just transfer all the files at once without it pausing every few minutes. Price: I can't really say that it is worth the price, but you probably won't be disappointed if you can afford it or get your employer to buy you one. I can say that compared to the Intel i7 Dell XPS 13 (also a great laptop), the MacBook has been much more stable in the few months I have owned it and used it daily. I don't think that it is worth twice the price of a Dell XPS though. If you use it professionally for 3D design or Adobe stuff, it probably is. Conclusion: Everything works the way it should. No issues whatsoever. Fast, solid, looks and looks great.

Filthy, dented box looks like they played soccer with it before shipping it to me. I paid over $3k for a brand new laptop and now I'm concerned that whatever they did to this box could've caused damage to the laptop. This is the first and last time I buy an Apple product from Best Buy.

Well. I can’t believe Best Buy slapped a label on the normal apple box and shipped it. Didn’t double box or nothing. Needless to stay UPS DESTROYED THE BOX. I’m not even opening it at this point. It’s obvious UPS stuck tons of brown tape around it to piece it back together. A shame you can’t take the time to double box a $4000 laptop.

Switching to this MacBook has been a significant upgrade, and I’m genuinely impressed. The design is sleek and lightweight, making it perfect for portability. The display is stunning, with vibrant colors and sharp resolution that’s great for both work and entertainment. Performance-wise, it’s incredibly fast, and the battery life is solid for a full day of use. That said, while it’s an excellent MacBook, there are still a few drawbacks. The price point is steep, which might make it less accessible to some, tks to BestBuy for give me the option to finance with no interest, and the lack of ports can be a hassle for those used to more connectivity options. Additionally, the keyboard, while improved, still takes some getting used to. Overall, this is a fantastic computer for productivity, creativity, and portability. It’s a big change, but one I’m glad I made!
