I grew up as a regular windows computer user and after getting other Apple products, I broke down to get an apple computer. The folks at Best Buy helped me identify what computer would be best for me and my family for home use. This little gem is terrific. Its fast, easy to use and figure out what to do - it is very intuitive. It connects easily with other apple products and even has the ability to connect and get my info from my old windows computers! It is easy now to transfer photos, videos, etc from my iphone. It is super fast, and lightweight so I can sit anywhere and have my computer right there with me. I would recommend this computer to anyone that is hesitant to leave a regular computer for an Apple computer!

This is my 2nd MacBook Pro, and I absolutely love the retina display. If you just had a typical laptop, you probably wouldn't know the difference, but when you have them side by side, there is no comparison. I enjoy the ease of setup and having every Apple device, calendar, etc. synched. I've run into an odd issue when I'm using the internet, and I think it's related to the Airport Express I am using. Since I can't say for certain, I can't fault anything in this review. It's extremely quiet, doesn't get too hot, and combined with Apple TV is great for playing movies on the bigger screen. I know I'll get 5 solid years out of this machine, so while it's a little pricey, I know it'll work.

Except for the price, this computer is very fast, has great features and crisp display. This was purchased for my daughter as she has a class where they are working on mac computers. Much easier for her to edit at home than in school. Very easy to connect to the Internet and the software was easy to load

I never thought working in laptop computer could be this much easy. This MBP proved me wrong. Very light, extremely powerful, super speed, and long battery life are the main hallmark of this beautiful piece of computer. Only down side so far I have noticed is blurry Microsoft office application, but I think it's more of a issue of Microsoft. They need to upgrade the office up to the incredible display quality of this MBP!

This is my first Apple product. This product is much easier to set up and use immediately compared to a windows laptop. The retina screen is incredible. Overall, very pleased with this product.

For a first time Mac user, I initially found the Mac experience little weird but slowly I started liking it. So if you are a lifelong windows user, you might not like macs at first place but am sure you will. This MacBook is just too good. Be it the speed, graphics, sleekness...everything is great xcept that it's quite costly. Best buy did offer a great deal at the time I bought it.

I'm a teenager using this as my laptop for school and entertainment. I got my laptop for 1,099 on Black Friday. I think that that price makes this laptop worth it as it usually sells for 1,299. I got it with my own money so value was one of the biggest things for me. I was deciding over this one or the Macbook Air which was 150 less also on Black Friday. But the tipping point for me was the HDMI port and extra Displayport on this one over the Macbook Air. The display was just a bonus. I love it, it is fast and very beautiful and slick. It has excellent battery life, I charge once every two days max. The lack of compatibility with some software sometimes makes me mad, but it is worth it. If you can find it at a lower price or at a good discount, it is certainly worth it.

This is my first macbook. I decided to go Apple after having an iPhone for a while and being completely satisfied. I recently purchased the 13" retina 8g ram & 256g hard drive model. It is an amazing machine. It is smooth, fluid, with no issues whatsoever, not to mention reliability. Yes it is not cheap but if you have a look at comparable pc's with similar specs, it is not that bad. The reason why Apple products are more expensive is simply because they are better! You get what you pay for. I would also like to mention that I have made full use of the "boot camp" software on the machine which divides your hard drive to allow the use of windows as well. I use a cad design program which unfortunately only works on windows. This happens to work extremely well and guess what? Best of both!!

Overall, great laptop. It has a sleek design and retina display is really nice. I like that the charger has a magnetic connection and this may minimize damage and wear to the cables. FYI, the macbook pro now does not have a CD/DVD ROM. Wish it had more USB ports, but that's not a major issue. Not bulky. Sometimes the mousepad could get a little out of hand, with all of the functions, but you get used to it. Overall, great laptop,but not necessarily worth how much it costs.

Excellent battery life, easy setup right out of the box, light weight and general all around great performance.

I love my new computer! There's a lot to still figure out since it is more advanced from my previous laptop, but the speed is insane. The display has great quality and sound/video are smooth.

This product is great! It's an excellent deal and does everything you'd need for a computer, but in the comfort of travel. It's light and easily portable. The battery life is easily 8 hours, just as advertised. My only complaint is that it has limited hard memory at 128 gigs. I use an external, and can sometimes get annoying transferring things here and there, but overall, it's a great and user friendly Mac!

I am in love with my new Macbook. The Retina display is amazing, the weight and feel of the machine is great. MAC OS is a joy to use, with all the touchpad based gestures. Battery life is amazing, I can go a close to 10 hours without a charger, which means an entire day of use. Cant find anything to complain about.

i can't say enough great things about this laptop. it has exceeded all of my expectations for it since i got it on black friday. quick, easy to use, powerful and compact. best display ever. beyond happy with this, use it primarily for work but am looking to upgrade within the year for a new home one as well.

This laptop has great battery life - 12 hours. I watch a lot of videos and even with that I would estimate 6 hours of battery life on a charge. And it isn't very quick to charge. It goes 0 to 25% in a matter of minutes. It is not that heavy. I had a Mac Book Air before and I don't think this is that much bulky than that. The display is great - very crisp. The sound is much better than my previous Mac Book Air. It has the 2 Thunderbolt ports, 1 HDMI port, 2 USB ports and an SD card reader. They changed the charger from the last generation to this generation. I don't understand the purpose of that besides just making money. I mean I bought a charger last time, what do I do with it. Very mad about that.. That another $75 for an extra charger.

This was a great purchase. It's great to have all the same operating systems. Fast, easy to use, very clear.

My first Macbook from switching from PCs. I'm still getting used to the Apple operating system and things that are different than a PC, but overall it is easy to use. I love the long battery life, how light in weight it is, and the very clear picture of the Retina display. I love my Macbook! Highly recommend switching to Macs for anyone who is thinking of switching from PCs!

One of the best performing and most reliable computing device of the current era. Very well built. Easy to use and serve all your need out of the box no extra software purchases required. Can not take your eyes off the retina display. I can not look at any other screen after I purchased this device. I would still want to see touch screen and memory expansion options.
