After more than thirty-five years using strictly PC desktops and laptops this MBPro with TB is top dog. I have created a Bootcamp partition with Win 10 to not lose touch with my now past life. The screen crispness and color are outstanding. This 13.3 inch notebook is half the weight of my old notebook. It is fast, quiet and portable. The Touch Bar is easy to use and intuitive. The trackpad is smooth, responsive and precise, supporting a productive set of gestures. Along with a 4K monitor, Apple Magic keyboard and Apple Magic Trackpad 2 I am enjoying a clutter free home office configuration.

you can quibble about the failings of apple, but the successes are overwhelmingly in their favor. this machine is small, light, fast, and beautiful. the operating system remains fundamentally smoother and more pleasing than anyone else's. you can dig pretty deep into a macbook pro before you start to feel that you are much smarter than the men and women who designed and built it. is there something better in a laptop other than a different apple? maybe. but not likely for me. these guys are professionals. they make a good product that i only want to see get even better.

I have a 2009 Pro, a 2010 Macbook, and a 2014 Desktop - each has been amazing. However, going from a 2009 pro...to this bad boy.....I can barely stand to touch the 2009 anymore. This computer is so fast, so capable. I use Lightroom and Photoshop heavily and this computer doesn't even blink. So lightning fast. The touchbar is really cool, I don't really use it for anything fun, but it's a great feature. The new ports are (kind of annoying) but once you buy an adapter it's fine. And it's so light. LOVE IT!

I purchased a fully loaded last gen MacBook Pro then found out that this model was being released. I returned the unopened Mac and waited a few weeks to get this new MacBook Pro. After using the computer for about 3 weeks now, I can honestly say it was well worth the wait!
I love the new design. The keyboard takes a few hours to get used to, but is functionally great. The retina display is far better than the previous Macs and the OLED bar is much more useful than I expected. In my opinion, this computer is a "Grand Slam" for Apple!

It took only minutes to fall in love with my new MacBook Pro (13", 512GB, 8RAM). I upgraded from the previous generation MacBook 12", and performance wise the difference is highly notable. The boot up speeds are blazing fast, and waiting for an app to open or close no longer an issue. The MacBook 12" is no doubt an awesome machine, however for the work I must do the m3 processor began to slow me down and on occasion freeze. I got too caught up with the aesthetics when I initially purchased it. Now that I've returned to the realm of the MacBook Pro I'll never go back. Apple has done an Amazing job with slimming down the MacBook Pro, without hindering the performance. The touch bar is wonderful and will truly revolutionize how owners interact with Macs. I love the Touch ID sensor, which is equal in speed to the iPhone's. The screen is as Apple advertises, brilliant! When you have to use a laptop as much as I do it's best to buy tech that makes the job seem less tasking. Last, the battery life is superb. Those complaints that have nagged Apple have been resolved, and the battery Icon with percentage are not hidden. All in all I could write pages regarding the sophistication and power of the latest MacBook Pro, but you'll never fully actualize its greatness until one is resting on your lap doing its magic!

I had read and watched many reviews of the 13" MacBooks with Touch Bar. Some were very positive, some not so much. I have been using an iMac as my main computer and a MacBook Air as my travel computer when working on the road. I was getting a bit annoyed when working on the road and realizing that the files I needed were on the iMac at home. I finally decided to go for a new MacBook Pro to consolidate all my work into one computer. I figured if I was going to spend the money on a MacBook, I may as well go for the touch bar as well. So far, it's been a wonderful experience. The display is superb, the speed is amazing. Some people have complained about the new keyboard, but I find it to be quite good. That may boil down to personal opinion, but I feel like I type better on it. The only ports are USB-C, which hasn't been too bad actually. I bought an external HD to store my iTunes library so an adapter was needed, and a USB-C to lightning cable to connect my iPhone and iPad, but it's been a much smaller adjustment than I anticipated.
The only issue I've experienced so far is a bug with the Touch Bar. Occasionally it will go to sleep and when it wakes, the buttons are not displayed correctly. Based on my research of the issue I'm quite sure that this is a software issue that Apple will fix soon, but it should be mentioned here in case someone buys this and sees the issue. Know that it's not just your machine. Simply tapping the fn key restores everything on the touch bar appropriately.

I upgraded my 15" 2011 MacBook Pro to this new 13" MacBook Pro with touch bar. This MacBook is so light.
- Screen is gorgeous.
- Keyboard takes a few days to get used, eventually I prefer this keyboard to the MacBook Air.
- Touch bar is a beauty! I mostly use it with mail, map and photoshop. Hoping more app will integrate this touch bar.
- Touch pad is bigger than prior MacBook and I loved it! I read someone complaining about it is too big but I feel this is the right size especially when I need to move objects around the screen.
- Battery life is 8-9 hours depend on my usage.
Overall I don't do crazy graphics like some, for non-professional users like me, it is a perfect replacement for my old MacBook. Recommended!

I had been hesitant to purchase a MacBook before this. But this is the best computer that I have ever owned. I love the touch pad on this, I love the touch bar, I love the screen... I also love that it is so easy to use. I had never used a MacBook before this, always windows... It took me a day to figure this out, I still have not figured out Windows 10

I purchased the new 2016 MacBook Pro with the touchbar. I have normally owned PC computers only, but have always had Apple phones/IPads . I decided to jump ship after horrible experiences with PC computers over the past few years. I was looking for a laptop that would allow me to dj, as well as be powerful enough to handle video/photo editing .
Portability ,and power were also key.
The good: sleek , beautiful screen, very portable, powerful enough to handle photo editing and some light video editing. New touch pad for 13 inch was the perfect size. Touch bar and fingerprint reader are awesome new features, and in the near future, it could be extremely.
The bad: battery life was all over the place! Sometimes while watching Netflix ,I got 6 or 7 hours. Other times while using Firefox and watching movies, I only got 3 hours:(
Hopefully the update will improve this epic fail for battery life, because one of draws to MacBook Pros is their ability to hold a charge, especially compared to competitors. Also, I think Apple should offer 16gb for Ram as a standard option for the 13 inch MBP at Best Buy.
I ended up returning the 13 inch, and now I'm debating whether I should just splurge for a 15 inch.

This is an awesome laptop. I decided to give my Mid 2012 MBP to my cousin. And wow I do feel the difference in speed and portability. It's a big step up, the battery life is insane, it typically lasts me between 6-8 hours. Way more than I ever expected. I don't mind the this MBP is limited to usb-c's, it really isn't a big deal. However, the only drawback was the price. A bit too costly. otherwise I would've gone for the 15in 512 gb. If you don't mind getting a MBP pro that has been used for a couple of days, I suggest to get an open box. They're clean, and G.Squad ensures that everything is perfect and brand new-like before they sell it. It's more affordable that way.

I really loved the brief amount of time I got to own it and would definitely still have it if I didn't have unexpected life problems come up lol. It ran perfectly, the screen looked amazing, the touch bar is beautiful and such a wonderful addition! I can't wait to get another one.

Got this so that I can get some of my daily work tasks done outside the office. I love the speed and overall operation. I especiallly love the touchbar and that I can also let coworkers use it with just adding their fingerprint ID and not giving a password. Overall I love it.

Over all I love the new Mac book pro. Really dig the touch bar!! It has a lot of sweet features and capabilities, like the screen shot, tab switching, and volume control etc etc . The Touch ID is really sweet too. At first I wasn't sure how I felt about the new key board, but the more I use it the more I like it! The keys are much bigger than the previous model, which is great for my sausage fingers. The keys are also a lot tighter and don't let a lot of unnecessary through around the them. The sound quality, in my opinion, is amazing!! I was really disappointed in losing the lit logo at first, but I really don't miss it. I really like the lightness and sleek new look, especially with the space grey. The portability is awesome! I will say the start up is slower than the old model, as well I don't really notice any speed difference between the two, so that's a little disappointing.
All in all I don't regret spending the money at all and I'm very happy with it!

I have a 2012 mac book pro. Got this mac book pro TB 512 to replace it.
It is much faster. No more watching the wheel go round and round. I find the Touch Bar useful. The screen resolution is so much better. The more I use it the better I like it. For my use the USB-c ports are not a problem. My external backup drive is USB-c and my iPhone I just use the dongle.
My one recommendation- do not migrate over wifi from a older mac. It took 2 days. I wish I had known that.
After the negative reviews I read, I was worried. Not anymore I really like it.

There are so many great things I can say about this Macbook, but to sum it up simply, this Macbook Pro is super light, slim and compact. The screen size is the same as the Macbook Pro's without the touch bar the only difference is Apple has removed the excess frame around the screen. Additionally, the touch bar and touch ID on the this model makes executing tasks lighting fast with the touch of a button, like paying for purchases via Apple Pay, sending text message replies, editing photos, etc.

I purchased this laptop to replace my old MBP (2012 with CD drive) as it wasn't able to keep up with my computing needs for college. I was hesitant about purchasing this laptop because of the touch bar, but I ended up liking that aspect. I've had this laptop for about 4 weeks now, and it works great. It charges fast and I'm able to open up multiple programs and run them at the same time (my old MBP would freeze when opening up more than 3 different programs). The keyboard takes some getting used to as the keys are flatter, but typing gets easier once you get used to the new size. The touch bar is easy to operate once you take some time to mess with it, and I like that you can customize the view of it.
This laptop is fast and lightweight. I'm often times stuck in classes for 4+ hours before I have the opportunity to charge it, but the battery lasts a long time and I've been able to use it for note taking, online homework, etc. and the battery drops to around 60-70% from being fully charged. My old laptop would often drop to the low 40 percents (on a good day), and I was constantly having to find a place to charge it during class.
I do wish this laptop had a power button to turn the laptop on and off in the event that it freezes. The speakers are great and are a lot louder than I expected, which is nice because I don't have to turn the volume up as loud.
At first, I wasn't impressed with the USB-C ports (there are 4 of them) and having to shell out more money to buy adapters to plug in things like my phone and a flash drive. I did end up buying some adapters for my phone and a USB drive, but you can get those cheap online instead of buying them directly from a place like Apple.
