Very unhappy with apple keyboard!!! Ever since the IOS 17 some of the keys do not respond on both of our keyboard. Got the newest iPad Pro one month ago and assumed that the new keyboard would be perfect. Nope. The space key doesn’t always work in messages and never works for e-mail. Very unhappy.

Review of the Magic Keyboard for iPad M4
The Magic Keyboard for the iPad M4 is a game-changer in terms of functionality and user experience. Designed to transform your iPad into a more capable productivity tool, it seamlessly combines the sleek design Apple is known for with impressive practicality.
Design and Build Quality
Apple has crafted a masterpiece with its minimalist design that effortlessly complements the iPad M4. The keyboard is lightweight yet sturdy, making it perfect for on-the-go use without adding unnecessary bulk. Its floating cantilever design is not only visually appealing but also highly functional, allowing for smooth angle adjustments.
Typing Experience
Typing on the Magic Keyboard is a delight. The keys are backlit and provide a comfortable, responsive typing experience, much like a traditional laptop keyboard. The key travel allows for error-free typing, crucial for those who type extensively throughout their day.
Trackpad Functionality
One of the standout features is the integrated trackpad. It brings a new dimension to using an iPad with multi-touch gestures that make navigating both comfortable and intuitive. This addition significantly boosts productivity and makes the iPad feel more like a laptop substitute.
Connectivity and Usability
Connecting the Magic Keyboard to the iPad M4 is seamless and immediate, thanks to the smart connector. This feature removes the hassle of pairing and the need for charging cables, as the keyboard draws power directly from the iPad.
Pricing
While the Magic Keyboard is on the pricier side, costing significantly more than its competitors, the functionality, craftsmanship, and enhancement it brings to the iPad experience could justify the investment for many users.
Helping a New Teacher
As a new teacher, the Magic Keyboard has been particularly beneficial. Its ease of use and efficient design have streamlined my daily tasks, allowing me to focus more on lesson planning and student engagement rather than on navigating technology. The responsive typing experience minimizes errors and saves time, while the trackpad and seamless connectivity ensure that I can quickly adapt lesson materials or access resources needed in the classroom.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the Magic Keyboard is a formidable accessory for the iPad M4, enhancing its capabilities to new heights. Despite its premium price tag, the ergonomic design, excellent typing experience, and added functionality make it a worthwhile addition for anyone looking to maximize their iPad's potential. Whether you're a professional, student, or casual user, the Magic Keyboard is likely to elevate your digital workflow significantly.

Really love this keyboard!! Types like an ordinary computer keyboard, I don't find it too small. It is sleek and doubles as a cover/hard cover so you don't have to spend any money on a case whereas you would otherwise have to.

I recently upgraded to the new Apple Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro M4, and it has completely transformed my experience. From the moment I unboxed it, the build quality was evident—sturdy, sleek, and stylish. The backlit keys offer a satisfying tactile response, making typing a joy, even in low-light environments.
The floating cantilever design is a standout feature. It not only looks futuristic but also provides flexible viewing angles that suit every need, whether I'm typing up a report or streaming a movie. The USB-C pass-through charging is a thoughtful addition, keeping my workspace uncluttered while ensuring my iPad remains charged during use.
Integration with the iPad Pro M4 is seamless. The trackpad is highly responsive, supporting all the multi-touch gestures I’ve come to love on my MacBook, making multitasking a breeze. The keyboard shortcuts enhance productivity, allowing me to navigate the iPadOS with ease.
One minor gripe is the weight; it does add some heft to the iPad, making it less portable than I’d like for casual use. However, the trade-off is worth it for the enhanced functionality and laptop-like experience.
Overall, the new Apple Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro M4 is an exceptional accessory. It turns the iPad into a versatile workhorse, perfect for both professional tasks and leisure activities. It’s a bit of an investment, but for anyone serious about maximizing their iPad Pro’s potential, it’s well worth the price.

I bought the Magic Keyboard along with my iPad Pro M4, and it makes a huge difference for getting work done. The typing experience is comfortable, with keys that feel solid and responsive. The trackpad is smooth and works perfectly with iPadOS gestures, making navigation easier. The adjustable hinge feels sturdy and lets me set the screen at a comfortable angle.
I picked the color that matches my iPad’s finish, and it looks clean and seamless together — like one complete device. It also protects the iPad well and connects instantly without any setup. The downside is the weight — it adds noticeable bulk to the iPad, and it’s not cheap. Still, if you use your iPad for writing, work, or multitasking, it’s worth it.

This Magic Keyboard makes my iPad Pro feel like a full laptop. The keys feel super smooth and responsive, and the trackpad is way better than I expected—really accurate and easy to use. It connects instantly and even charges the iPad through the side port.
The black looks sleek and matches the Space Black iPad perfectly. Only downside is it’s heavy and pricey, but if you’re using your iPad for work, school, or just want that laptop feel, it’s totally worth it.

I’ve been using the Apple Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro 11-inch with my M4 device, and it has completely transformed how I use my iPad. From work to play, this keyboard brings a laptop-like experience that’s incredibly smooth and intuitive.
The typing experience is excellent — the keys feel responsive and comfortable, with just the right amount of travel for long typing sessions. And the built-in trackpad with haptic feedback makes navigating iPadOS feel natural and precise, especially when editing documents or multitasking.
I love the thoughtful design too. The floating cantilever hinge smoothly adjusts to multiple viewing angles, so I can find the perfect position whether I’m at my desk or on the couch. The USB-C connector for pass-through charging is a nice touch, keeping my iPad powered without blocking the main port.
It also adds a bit of protection to the iPad with front and back coverage when closed, which gives me peace of mind when I’m on the go. The sleek black finish looks great and keeps the whole setup feeling premium.
Overall, this Magic Keyboard has greatly boosted my productivity and made my iPad Pro feel even more versatile. Whether I’m typing up emails, joining video calls, or editing spreadsheets, it’s a fantastic accessory that’s totally worth it!

I’ve been using this iPad keyboard for a while now, and honestly, it’s made a huge difference. Typing feels smooth and natural, almost like using a regular laptop. The keys have a nice bounce and aren’t too cramped, which is something I was worried about at first.
The keyboard connects quickly and doesn’t lag, which is perfect for when I need to take notes in class or knock out assignments. The battery life is solid too—I don’t find myself charging it constantly. Plus, the case/stand part keeps my iPad steady whether I’m working at a desk or sitting on the couch.
If I had to point out a downside, it’s that it adds a bit of bulk to the iPad, so it’s not as lightweight as just carrying the tablet alone. But honestly, the tradeoff is worth it because it turns the iPad into a mini laptop.
Overall, super happy with it. If you’re a student or someone who types a lot on their iPad, I’d definitely recommend this keyboard.

The keyboard is definitely an upgrade from the other model. I love the mouse track area. Previously it was almost pointless to have a keyboard area because i had to use touch screen in order to click.
I like how it is heavier (i was concerned/ worried about this because I planned on bringing my iPad everywhere) but it’s proven to be more of a pro than a con. The other keyboard was so light that my usability positions were limited due to the iPad being heavier than the base. I do hope apple comes up with a protective case to use in conjunction with the iPad for more peace of mind and protection from wear and tear. This keyboard makes my iPad practically a computer.

New generation keyboard from Apple, first think that I noticed was it was kinda heavy, considering the iPad weighs so little, it made this thing feel HEAVY, heavy. The keyboard is very nice, and the aluminum housing and larger trackpad make this every bit as nice as a MacBook, magnets for iPad not as strong as last gen, but iPad is significantly thinner and smaller. Great purchase, just expensive. But nothing else will come close, they really did a fantastic job.

Functions As Seamlessly As My New 11" iPad (M4)

This always the 1st thing to buy after ordering a new iPad. I use this on my 11" iPad PRO, 1 TB with Nano-Texture glass. So no matter where I use my iPad, indoors on the sofa, or on a sunny day looking at a trail map during a hike, I'm always well-prepared.
The new iPad PRO is much thinner than my 2nd Gen, so when paired with the Magic Keyboard, it is thinner as well. The track pad feels smoother that previous. The hand rests, since they are aluminum, are always cool to the touch when typing, hence comfortable, at least for myself. It is thinner, so it fits in my work bag, man bag, and backpack easier. It feels lighter as well. It also provides protection.
If you buy one, after purchasing your new iPad PRO, you likely won't regret it. The new row of function keys should have been on the initial Magic Keyboard; they are indispensable.

Very high build quality. Materials are also high quality. Simply feels great in hand. Doesn’t provide any impact protection (which isn’t implied anyways) but should be known. The best feature IMO is the magnetic connection between iPad and the case. Just makes for a seamless experience which is superior to some other cases where the iPad is more enclosed. Great case/keyboard but simply overpriced. You can obviously buy a larger and more powerful MacBook Air for less than the cost of the 11” iPad Pro and this case. This should be priced at $200 on the high end.

Knocking a star off for the ridiculously high price tag on this. Otherwise, it’s completely amazing. Navigates like butter and has a really pleasant way of being attracted to a likely click point like a magnet making it easy to point and click. I’ve used it quite a bit with Logic Pro for iPad and I really love it. The keyboard transforms the m4 iPad Pro into something more like a computer. It’s so good, I wanted it to run macOS, but as of now it still cannot. Yet, the iPad Pro 11” and Magic Keyboard are an attractive alternative for creative minded people. The pickup and use factor is much greater for me on the iPad which is what it is all about. I’ve done lots of recording already and I am going to make a lot of music with this setup, and it is very powerful. I pick it up all the time where the laptop collects a lot more dust. The Magic Keyboard makes the experience so much better than touch screen alone for me. Buttery smooth navigation and the keys feel great. I have big hands and I can still make it work. It balances very well I think. You can use it in your lap unlike a standard surface pro. One minus is that I feel fixed to landscape view and feel like I would need to purchase an extra case to ditch the keys if I wanted to draw in portrait mode for example.

Nice case with keyboard, also hold my apple pen nicely. It would be nice if there was a little more secure way to hold my Apple pen instead of just the magnetic piece to place pen. Otherwise it protects my iPad good.
