New generation keyboard from Apple, first think that I noticed was it was kinda heavy, considering the iPad weighs so little, it made this thing feel HEAVY, heavy. The keyboard is very nice, and the aluminum housing and larger trackpad make this every bit as nice as a MacBook, magnets for iPad not as strong as last gen, but iPad is significantly thinner and smaller. Great purchase, just expensive. But nothing else will come close, they really did a fantastic job.

The keyboard is definitely an upgrade from the other model. I love the mouse track area. Previously it was almost pointless to have a keyboard area because i had to use touch screen in order to click.
I like how it is heavier (i was concerned/ worried about this because I planned on bringing my iPad everywhere) but it’s proven to be more of a pro than a con. The other keyboard was so light that my usability positions were limited due to the iPad being heavier than the base. I do hope apple comes up with a protective case to use in conjunction with the iPad for more peace of mind and protection from wear and tear. This keyboard makes my iPad practically a computer.

Very high build quality. Materials are also high quality. Simply feels great in hand. Doesn’t provide any impact protection (which isn’t implied anyways) but should be known. The best feature IMO is the magnetic connection between iPad and the case. Just makes for a seamless experience which is superior to some other cases where the iPad is more enclosed. Great case/keyboard but simply overpriced. You can obviously buy a larger and more powerful MacBook Air for less than the cost of the 11” iPad Pro and this case. This should be priced at $200 on the high end.

Nice case with keyboard, also hold my apple pen nicely. It would be nice if there was a little more secure way to hold my Apple pen instead of just the magnetic piece to place pen. Otherwise it protects my iPad good.

Functions As Seamlessly As My New 11" iPad (M4)

This always the 1st thing to buy after ordering a new iPad. I use this on my 11" iPad PRO, 1 TB with Nano-Texture glass. So no matter where I use my iPad, indoors on the sofa, or on a sunny day looking at a trail map during a hike, I'm always well-prepared.
The new iPad PRO is much thinner than my 2nd Gen, so when paired with the Magic Keyboard, it is thinner as well. The track pad feels smoother that previous. The hand rests, since they are aluminum, are always cool to the touch when typing, hence comfortable, at least for myself. It is thinner, so it fits in my work bag, man bag, and backpack easier. It feels lighter as well. It also provides protection.
If you buy one, after purchasing your new iPad PRO, you likely won't regret it. The new row of function keys should have been on the initial Magic Keyboard; they are indispensable.

Knocking a star off for the ridiculously high price tag on this. Otherwise, it’s completely amazing. Navigates like butter and has a really pleasant way of being attracted to a likely click point like a magnet making it easy to point and click. I’ve used it quite a bit with Logic Pro for iPad and I really love it. The keyboard transforms the m4 iPad Pro into something more like a computer. It’s so good, I wanted it to run macOS, but as of now it still cannot. Yet, the iPad Pro 11” and Magic Keyboard are an attractive alternative for creative minded people. The pickup and use factor is much greater for me on the iPad which is what it is all about. I’ve done lots of recording already and I am going to make a lot of music with this setup, and it is very powerful. I pick it up all the time where the laptop collects a lot more dust. The Magic Keyboard makes the experience so much better than touch screen alone for me. Buttery smooth navigation and the keys feel great. I have big hands and I can still make it work. It balances very well I think. You can use it in your lap unlike a standard surface pro. One minus is that I feel fixed to landscape view and feel like I would need to purchase an extra case to ditch the keys if I wanted to draw in portrait mode for example.

I needed a keyboard for my newly purchased iPad Pro M4 11-inch because of what I will be doing with it. That being writing and content production. I looked at various keyboards from various manufacturers but I kept coming back to the Apple Magic keyboard because it best suits my use case. That being adding an additional USB-C port that can be used for charging/powering the iPad while leaving the port on the device free. This capability alone allows me to plug in things like an audio interface without the use of a USB hub. As well, the Magic Keyboard, IMO, offers the closest experience to a Mac. Which, I think the aforementioned experience will only get better when iPad OS19 comes out. Overall and in spite of the price -- the Magic Keyboard is well worth it.

Coming from a MacBook Air M1, I thought that this wasn’t going to be quite the same experience, but I was completely wrong. This magic keyboard gives your iPad, the feeling of a MacBook with it typing capabilities, but you just as easily are able to snap the iPad off the keyboard and have your iPad be an iPad. With my job I do a lot of typing, coding, and papers and this has been an absolute game changer for allowing me to use my iPad for all of this.

I was going to buy a case for my Ipad pro. But the sales agent pointed out the features of the case. I was sold. It is magnetic. IPad and pen both attach and stays on. It acts as a cover. You can plug the cable into the keyboard and leave it plugged in. It will charge both tablet and pen when plugged in. Only thing that would make it better would be a slot for the pen. I've knocked my pen off by not watching what i was doing.

This keyboard is an improvement over the earlier versions. I like the stability. I like the function keys especially when changing apps. The keyboard is easy to type on. Only minor complaint is the hard hinge which makes it hard to set the device down without making a sound. (I keep waking my wife up at night)

I’ve been using this keyboard for a few weeks now, and I can honestly say it has completely changed my typing and gaming experience. From the moment I took it out of the box, I could tell it was a high-quality product. The build feels solid and durable, with no cheap plastic or flimsy parts. Every key press feels smooth, precise, and satisfying. The keys are incredibly responsive and have just the right amount of resistance — not too hard, not too soft. Whether I’m working for long hours typing documents or playing games late at night, it performs flawlessly.

I purchased an open box “like new” Magic Keyboard at about a $100 discount from new. The condition was as described and with the discount made the keyboard a much better value. The keyboard makes typing much easier and doubles as a nice case though it does add considerable weight to the unit. I am overall very pleased with the purchase.

Best Buy open box is the way to go

Apple is crazy to charge what they charge for this keyboard. Best Buy had it on sale and open box, saving me over a hundred bucks. At that price - and with the news that the iPad is about to get much more traditional computing functions this fall - I decided to give it a shot. If you're considering one, I certainly recommend this option. Mine looked 100% brand new.
I've had iPads forever, but never owned a Magic Keyboard. To be clear, it is a luxury and absolutely not necessary. There are other much cheaper options out there, to say nothing of the fact that you can use an iPad without a keyboard for all kinds of things.
But... yeah, this thing is super nice. It has changed how I use my iPad. It has changed how often I use my iPad. It has changed my belief that another similar keyboard case I owned in the past, made by a very good brand, was good enough. This one is just better in every way.
I got the white one because it was cheaper and because I do really like the look of it. I don't plan on treating it roughly or using it in places where it's highly likely to get dirty. But I have used it on tables indoors and out and so far it still looks perfectly white. I've gotten little smudges on it, but they wiped off easily. I'm hoping it will hold up for a few years, but if it's starts to get a little grungy I'll probably put stickers on it. In the meantime, it looks so sleek!
While it does add weight, I still find this such a compelling package with the 11 inch iPad Pro. The keyboard turns the iPad into the perfect tabletop computer, in my opinion. I find it more comfortable to type on than the hard edges of my MacBook Pro. And it's considerably lighter. Can't wait for that software update in the Fall!

I tried 3 different keyboards and this is the best experience. It’s well worth the money. The ease of use, quality, and functions are amazing.
I tried to use the basic magic keyboard (non-folio), and the logitech brands, but this magic keyboard is the best.

I purchased this keyboard open box but i think that if i had purchased it new at $300 i would have given it 2 stars. I just dont think this keyboard is worth that much.. The open box experiance was ok. There was what looked like food crumbs inside the box and I think better sttention could have been given to the repackaging of the item. I was supprosed to discover that the hinge on the keyboard does not bend much meaning that your viewing angles are limited. Also the rubber like coating on the back of the case comes off surprisingly easily. The typing experience is pretty good if not a little cramped but thats to be expected.

Quality Keyboard for the M4 iPad Pro

I made this purchase when I upgraded to my M4 iPad Pro. The aluminum construction has a premium feel and build quality, while the “rubber” bottom grips surfaces nicely. The magnets are strong and hold the iPad securely. The keyboard is a pleasure to type on. Key travel is nice and not loud when typing. The track pad is small but larger than the previous version and is made with the exceptional Apple quality. The upgrades are phenomenal and even more impressive is the fact that this Magic Keyboard is lighter. Being able to pick this up as a used “Good” quality made it an even better purchase. The only thing wrong with the keyboard was the box was damaged. The keyboard is pristine. I would recommend this keyboard to anyone who has a new M4 iPad Pro.
