I upgraded from my apple air 5 to the 13" inch ipad pro. I use both tablets for work & play. The new ipad pro is the best tablet on the market. If your like me & have to have the most cutting-edge hardware available then buy the ipad pro, you wint be disappointed.

I’ve had all previous iPads and by far this is the fastest and overall more fun to carry around even with the Magic Keyboard attached to it without hurting your back after a while, Crisp display, unbeatable performance and multitasking, a joy for watching videos or playing any games.

The design just makes it similar to a laptop. For the price I would expect more versatility, such as putting the iPad upright and changing the angle 360 degrees. It's okay but sort of below expectations at the steep price point.

I initially thought I could avoid the high cost of the Apple Magic Keyboard for iPad by choosing a third-party alternative at roughly one-third the price. After using that keyboard for about a week, it became clear the compromise wasn’t worth it. I returned the third-party option and purchased the Apple Magic Keyboard instead. The difference was immediate. The trackpad is in a completely different league, smooth, precise, and highly responsive, and it genuinely matches the experience of using a MacBook. Gestures work flawlessly, and cursor control feels natural rather than forced or laggy. The keyboard itself is equally impressive. Key travel and feedback are excellent, on par with Apple’s MacBook keyboards, making extended typing sessions comfortable and efficient. Beyond the typing experience, the overall design stands out: the Apple Magic Keyboard is more compact, lighter, and better balanced than competing alternatives, making the iPad feel like a true productivity device rather than a tablet with accessories attached. While the price is undeniably premium, the quality, integration, and user experience justify the cost. Apple clearly got this right. If you use your iPad for real work, the Magic Keyboard is absolutely worth the investment.

As someone who regularly uses the iPad 12.9 for both work and leisure, I’ve found the Apple Magic Keyboard to be a game-changer. When I first attached it to my iPad, I was immediately impressed by how seamlessly it connected—no Bluetooth pairing or fiddling required. The magnetic attachment is strong enough to keep everything secure, yet it’s easy to detach when I need to switch between tablet mode and laptop mode. The typing experience is excellent. I’ve been able to type for hours without discomfort, and the key travel is just right—not too shallow, not too deep. I also love how quiet the keys are, which makes it perfect for working in quiet environments, like coffee shops or libraries. The trackpad is another major plus—it's large, responsive, and smooth, which makes navigating and multitasking feel natural, especially when I’m switching between apps or working with documents. The design is sleek and feels premium, with the floating feature that allows the iPad to hover just above the keyboard at the perfect angle for both typing and viewing. The angle adjustment is smooth, and the build quality is rock-solid. It really feels like a true extension of the iPad rather than just a third-party accessory. That said, there are some trade-offs. The weight and bulk that come with the Magic Keyboard are noticeable. The iPad 12.9 already has a bit of heft to it, and adding the keyboard makes it feel more like a full laptop, which isn’t always ideal when I’m on the go. I also can’t ignore the price—it’s definitely an investment, and while I feel it’s worth it for the convenience and quality, I can understand if it’s a stretch for some. Overall, the Magic Keyboard has transformed the way I use my iPad, turning it into a more capable, portable workstation. If you're someone who relies on your iPad for productivity and don’t mind the extra weight and cost, I highly recommend it. But if you’re looking for a more budget-friendly option or need something lighter for occasional use, it might not be the best fit.

Built for iPad, a few concerns

This keyboard is made for iPad. It has a direct connection so there is no lag on typing, the area where you rest your wrist is metal which is much better than the previous generation feel (felt fluffy ish), the keyboard lights up to see the keys,it’s easy to type on without making any mistakes when typing, and the keyboard keys are not compacted to the point where it’s difficult to type on (of course this better be for a 13 inch tablet, smaller tablets the keyboard keys usually feel more cramped but this 13 inch ipad keyboard is perfect). I have a few concerns which deducted to 4 stars. First, it’s top heavy. You cannot use this very well on your lap without it falling backwards. The magnet is strong, but I doubt it’ll hold if you drop the iPad within the keyboard case. The corners are not protected from drops. The ipad magnet case bends so you can arch the ipad for better viewing, but I doubt the case will hold with repeated bend and high use (only time can tell on this). The cost is insane, but it’s a quality keyboard and you are paying for the name. Overall if you use it for typing, this is a great keyboard and compact. If you only type once in awhile, it’s better to get a case that protects the corners and a bluetooth keyboard to use when you need to type. If you type a lot, then this iPad keyboard is a no brainer.

The Keyboard That Turns Your iPad into a Sorcerer’

Let’s get one thing straight: this isn’t just a keyboard. This is the Magic Keyboard, and trust me, that’s not just marketing fluff. The moment I attached it to my iPad Pro, I half expected sparks to fly and a tiny wizard to pop out and start casting spells. Spoiler: no wizard appeared, but the magic? Oh, it’s definitely there. First, let’s talk about that floating design. It’s like my iPad suddenly decided it wanted to defy gravity—and, honestly, who am I to argue? The hinge is so smooth and sturdy, it feels like it was engineered by someone who moonlights at NASA. The iPad just hovers there, perfectly balanced, like it’s showing off. And let’s be real, it kind of is. Typing on this keyboard is a revelation. The keys are so satisfying, they make me want to type out the entire works of Shakespeare just for the sheer joy of it. They’ve got this perfect balance of clickiness and cushion that makes typing feel almost… luxurious. And with the backlighting, I feel like I’m typing on a keyboard that could double as a runway for tiny, fashionable robots. Then there's the trackpad. I’ll admit, I was skeptical about how useful a trackpad would be on an iPad, but now I can’t imagine life without it. It’s responsive, precise, and just plain fun to use. It's like having a mini-mouse right at your fingertips, ready to help you navigate through tasks with the finesse of a cat burglar. The design is sleek and elegant—very much in line with Apple’s whole “we make the future” aesthetic. The black finish is classy and understated, making my iPad look like it’s dressed for a black-tie event. Plus, the whole setup is surprisingly light, which is a relief because I’m not trying to lug around something that feels like a dumbbell disguised as a keyboard. Of course, with great power comes a great price tag. Yes, this keyboard is an investment, but it’s one that pays off every time you sit down to use it. It transforms the iPad Pro from a high-powered tablet into a full-fledged laptop, minus all the bulk. It’s like buying a ticket to the future of portable computing. In conclusion, the Apple Magic Keyboard for the 13-inch iPad Pro isn’t just an accessory—it’s a game-changer. If you’re serious about making the most out of your iPad, this keyboard is a must-have. It’s sleek, it’s functional, and yes, it’s magical.

The new Magic Keyboard for the M4 iPad Pro is absolutely fantastic. The design feels slimmer and lighter than before, but still very sturdy and premium. The floating hinge makes adjusting angles effortless, and it feels rock solid when the iPad is attached—it’s like using a sleek laptop. Typing on it is a joy. The keys have a satisfying click, great travel, and feel almost identical to a MacBook keyboard. The trackpad is larger now and super responsive, making multitasking and navigation smooth and intuitive. The added function row is a small detail but such a huge upgrade—it makes adjusting brightness, volume, and media so much quicker. It also charges through the USB-C port, which is super convenient, and the overall look in Space Black is just gorgeous with the iPad. Combined, it feels like a full premium laptop replacement. Yes, it’s pricey, but if you use your iPad Pro daily for work or study, this Magic Keyboard is 100% worth it. It transforms the iPad into a whole new experience!
