The design just makes it similar to a laptop. For the price I would expect more versatility, such as putting the iPad upright and changing the angle 360 degrees. It's okay but sort of below expectations at the steep price point.

I initially thought I could avoid the high cost of the Apple Magic Keyboard for iPad by choosing a third-party alternative at roughly one-third the price. After using that keyboard for about a week, it became clear the compromise wasn’t worth it. I returned the third-party option and purchased the Apple Magic Keyboard instead. The difference was immediate. The trackpad is in a completely different league, smooth, precise, and highly responsive, and it genuinely matches the experience of using a MacBook. Gestures work flawlessly, and cursor control feels natural rather than forced or laggy. The keyboard itself is equally impressive. Key travel and feedback are excellent, on par with Apple’s MacBook keyboards, making extended typing sessions comfortable and efficient. Beyond the typing experience, the overall design stands out: the Apple Magic Keyboard is more compact, lighter, and better balanced than competing alternatives, making the iPad feel like a true productivity device rather than a tablet with accessories attached. While the price is undeniably premium, the quality, integration, and user experience justify the cost. Apple clearly got this right. If you use your iPad for real work, the Magic Keyboard is absolutely worth the investment.

Like everything else Apple designs, this keyboard beats the competition in every way. Its soft feel but still tactical keyboard, larger trackpad, and extra Type-C charging port in the hinge make it a class by itself. My only negatives are the backlighting, which is visible only in darkness and does not appear to be adjustable, and, of course, the price. But like all Apple products that command a premium price, you get a premium product.

I really wanted to love the Magic Keyboard for the new 13-inch iPad Pro (M4) — it’s sleek, well-built, and turns the iPad into a true laptop-like device. The typing experience is excellent, and the trackpad is smooth and responsive. The white color looks stunning and adds a premium touch. However, the biggest downside ... and it’s a dealbreaker .... is the weight. Once the iPad is attached, the entire setup feels heavier than a MacBook. It completely defeats the purpose of having a lightweight, portable tablet. The iPad itself is incredibly light and thin this year, but the keyboard case adds so much bulk and weight that portability becomes meaningless. If you're looking to travel light or use your iPad primarily as a tablet, this accessory works against that goal. Great idea in theory, but poor execution due to the excessive heaviness. This is the best add-on keyboard I’ve ever had. The convenience of a laptop or notebook in a tablet touchscreen is the most valuable feature of this device. Apple couldn’t have made a better idea come to life with this device. Add to that the ability to charge the keyboard and tablet, even the Apple Pro pen all together with one plug in and we can all agree it earns the name ‘Magic’ keyboard rather well.

Sleek, elegant design, works well with iPad Pro 13 inch, love the backlit keyboard and the function keys, and let’s not forget the larger haptic trackpad with aluminum body. Overall it’s a fantastic piece of accessory that’ll elevate and maximize the value and use of your iPad Pro 13 inch. It’s truly magical, it deserves to be called Magic Keyboard!!! Highly recommended!!!
