Many appreciate its long battery life and the smooth scrolling, while some found the size to be perfect. Better than the Trackpad!!!

Originally when I had purchased my iMac, I chose to substitute the Magic mouse for the Trackpad. And well that was a big disappointment. I went to my local best buy and got the magic mouse and it truly is a world of a difference. Now I'm sure many of you apple people may say well the trackpad offers more gestures and Im here to say that setting up gestures is a WASTE!! You are better off creating command keys, as they are much easier to execute daily. Yes it is Bluetooth and requires batteries. stop hurting your wrist with a trackpad and get the Magic Mouse!!!

This mouse synchs easy with your Mac and has the most beautiful design of any on the market. If you prefer to use the mouse over the track pad, then this product is for you. It is optical and has a one-click design. What makes this mouse so special is that you can scroll/navigate using the same motions you would use on the track pad right on the body of the magic mouse. Easy to use and looks good. Must-have product if you own a Mac. Only downside is that it requires AAA battery to operate instead of an internal one.

I purchased the mouse to make my workflow on Ableton (Digital Audio Workstation) smoother and more efficent than the trackpad on my macbook. The gestures are just as smooth as the track pad. Syncing up is very practical on startup. Also if i forget to power off the mouse, I have never had an issue with battery life. The mouse performes as well as I expect any Apple product to, which is flawless. I strongly recommend this for mac users.

This mouse is really quite awesome if you have a MacBook or iMac. It costs a fair chunk of change, but it works flawlessly. Some complain about battery life, but I have not had any issues. I simply turn the mouse off (switch on the bottom) when I am not using. Have not had to change the batteries yet in 6 months of operation. The best feature to this is the native apple/mac gestures. Scrolling and swiping are smooth.

    Best Mouse Ever Used, Perfect!

Coming from using PC's to a Macbook, using Logitech lasers lastly, the Apple Magic Laser is perfection! No wheels, no buttons, 1/2 the size of the Logitech, and 'feels' like quality! The features are built in, smooth scrowling, and it fits into the hand, not around the hand. Awesome technology but simple to use, very happy with the purchase. Will purchase another should anything happen to this one.

I have mixed feeling about the Magic Mouse. It is a well constructed and reliable Bluetooth wireless mouse for Apple Macintosh products, however, it is so sensitive that you tend to scroll when you are trying to make a selection on the touch surface. I wish that the preferences allowed me to set this sensitivity so I would not have this annoying issue. With this being said all of the other functionality with the Magic Mouse is outstanding and it is one of the finest constructed mouse products available for any computer. I still recommend it for the Apple Mac user.

It is an expensive product, but is a great addition to a Mac laptop, as using the finger swipe commands via the mouse is a huge plus.

I don't like to read instructions so when I picked up the mouse I was like...I can use this. However, I was like Apple created a mouse that doesn't scroll? I accidentally moved my finger within the area and Ohh it does scroll. So sleek no button borders but does everything all other original products can do but majestically due to it's design. Love it!

I hear a lot of negative things about this product, I can honestly say when I tried it for myself I was happy to see all of those were false. I love this mouse, it is very comfortable and I am amazed with all of the gestures it can do, and how slim it is. Only flaw I see with it, is how fragile it is! I know for a fact if I dropped this mouse on the floor, it would not be a happy ending. I also recommend that you buy a cover for your mouse, and a case as well. Overall, a great product!

This mouse is very handy. With bi directional, smooth scrolling it makes photo viewing and web browsing easier. The optics of the magic mouse make it so that it can run on smoother surfaces than most optical mice. Its connection via Bluetooth keeps it from hogging one of your USB ports with a transmitter.

This mouse is great. It has multiple gestures you can use, and it uses two normal double A batteries so you could use re-chargable or just some normal AA batteries. It is high quality all the way and it is incredibly easy to set up on a mac. I highly recommend this mouse to everyone.

    Not bad, but...

...Not great either. It's a very shallow mouse, almost too shallow to use but beautifully designed. The touch features work very well, I never had an issue with things working how I wanted them to. My issues were with the tracking of the mouse; it would frequently track as though it was on some sort of micro delay- nothing that the everyday user might notice, but something that will drive a tech geek like myself up the wall and around the corner. Also, the mouse would frequently disconnect and reconnect at will- there was no rhyme or reason to it, and I was never able to solve the problem. You'd be using it, then *bam*, a message onscreen "Disconnected" with a picture of the mouse. I would switch to the built-in trackpad on my MacBook, and a few seconds later "Connected!" would appear like nothing ever happened. A quick online search showed that I wasn't the only one with the issue, either... Ended up exchanging the product for the Trackpad from Apple. There is a learning curve going from using a mouse my entire life to a flat piece of glass, but so far I'm loving it and it's yet to give me any of the issues the mouse did.

I use this mouse with my new MacBook. It makes it easier to use my laptop. The shape doesn't impress me or help my cramping fingers. I prefer it over the mousepad on the laptop. I do feel as though I click it a a lot to maneuver. I love that it is Bluetooth and wireless. Also the battery last long. It connected easily with my MacBook within 2 minutes initially. It is overpriced compared to others.

The magic mouse is the perfect partner for anyone with an Apple computer. The mouse connects via Bluetooth and is very reliable. The battery life is great and the mouse itself supports many gestures that make you much more productive as you navigate on your computer with ease.

    Really nice, but...

Connects fine, Use in Apple environment is great, but... It's Bluetooth, so you will need to power that connection on a laptop. I find the no-wheel scrolling can be annoying on things like map sites, where just minute movements of your finger sends the map resolution swinging back and forth. If you haven't used a 'bottom click' mouse before, it takes a little getting used to (i.e., the button is activated by depressing the whole mouse against the push switches mounted to the frame with the slide pads for the desk top). OSX does support this as a two button mouse, despite the heresy/apostasy this apparently involves from The Apple Way. The scroll up/down, and left/right, one and two finger are nicely implemented and integrated with OSX. The Bluetooth connection is painless, unlike other non-Apple products I've used, and battery life seems reasonable in a world of cheap 32 cell retail bubble packs. Not had any trouble with two mice connected to two different devices that are quite near to each other, either. Have had issues in the past with a system input lockup where you will probably want to have a USB mouse and keyboard available just in case. But, that's the voice of experience speaking and probably unrelated to the mouse, itself. Finally, I personally use a Razer mouse and keypad for gaming purposes, but this mouse with its Bluetooth connection keeps USB ports open for those.

Very easy to Set up & use. Like that you don't have to use the scroll wheel any longer. Finger was actually becoming sore using the wheel. I would recommend this mouse to any who is looking to purchase a product like this. Works with Windows as well as Apple products.

A friend recommended I purchase this mouse to go with my new MacBook Air. I absolutely love the fact it automatically links to my laptop, and works so well. The fact some of the gestures work with it as well is also a great feature! Definitely glad I invested in this.

Purchased this item to go with my Mac laptop. I definitely enjoy the wireless component and the ease of clicking and sliding through items. Only drawback is that sometimes the signal is lost and I have to re-sync it by clicking. Happens more that I would prefer it to. But, for portability and ease of use, it really is a good mouse.
